The food here is fantastic. Some venues, when they bring your food out to you, I've found the food to be warm but not hot. Here, the food is piping hot, how it should be. Generous portions, tasty, piping hot. Will definitely be coming here again. Highly recommend 👌

Called here on spur of moment .had Cajun chicken burger .came with 2 huge onion rings .lovely dressed salad and best home cooked chips I've had in a pub in a long time .table service .will deffo return couldn't fault our lunch .

The food that we had was very nice, the menu did not show many meals that I would want. The service was excellent but when I asked for a sweet off the menu it was not available, the alternative was nice but not what I wanted. That I's why only a 4 star review.

We went in for lunch today and were very impressed by what we got. We had 2 5oz steaks and chips for a tenner. This was excellent and the chips were as good as I have had in a restaurant. Add 2 pints of lager and we had a virtually perfect meal. The service was extremely quick and the server was very helpful and professional. Overall a very good experience which I will recommend to anyone.

I had the beef burger with additional toppings. The chips and toppings were really really nice. HOWEVER, the beef burger must have been 45% onion, which is a shame as it ruined the taste. Otherwise it was very nice.

Quite a tired old local pub that could maybe do with an update? but on reflection it is priced accordingly... It’s very popular with the locals, plus as an added bonus you can take your dog's within the bar area, and also have your meal served to you whilst in there... All in all I really do like these kind of public houses where nearly everybody is so friendly.

Popped down for a bite to eat tonight. The food was fabulous and the overall ambience was perfect, with a bit of cool jazz playing quietly in the background. The Red House is on its way back from dismal years under previous management. Josh and Sam are open to suggestions and want to hear constructive criticism as well positive feedback. We will be using The Red House a lot more now that we know how good its getting!

Beautiful pub in a lovely area .brilliant play area outside for the kids so you can enjoy a pint and they can run of abit of steam .food is lovely with gluten free options which is a must for our family also have gluten free pudding instead of the boring old fruit salad or vanilla icecream which is the usual gf options I'm faced with when eating out .staff friendly and inviting. Cnt reccomend enough certainly be visiting again

Set in a pleasant village location but the hotel is a bit scruffy and there is very little choice food-wise. The only coffee available was instant.

This is our local pub, absolutely fantastic service and food! Food fresh and homecooked plus absolutely delicious. Its quite, warm and friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

Nice old country pub with beams internally and a very sunny aspect and decently spacious back garden with a playground (swings and a spinny thing). Food is served all day. Meat is tender. Chips are great. Not enough ale in the steak and ale pie. And the lager was a bit flat. Staff are friendly and approachable. And dogs are welcome in the garden area. Close to the well hidden historic, moated and permanently shut to the public 13th-14th century Caverswall Castle. Now called Zamek Caverswall. Interestingly, Zamek is the Polish word for Castle.
