Great home cooked proper food, not pretentious or unnecessarily fancy. Always eat here when I visit Leek, never had a bad experience, usually quite busy so make sure you book ahead. Don't expect poncy fancy rubbish, this is real British pub food like we used to eat before pubs started serving poncy tapas and quinoa.

My boyfriend and I had the home made steak pie today and it was absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable and very friendly. A lovely fire burning on this chilly day. We'll definitely be going back.

A lovely and very friendly place. We booked a table to celebrate mum's 90th birthday. The landlady put a birthday balloon out and banners which was such a lovely gesture that made mum smile. The meal was really nice, everyone enjoyed it and the empty plates proved that!! We would definitely go back go back again

A great place to enjoy a drink or meal. A wonderful country pub for the whole family. There is a car park, children's play area and the option to sit indoors or outside. The staff are polite and very helpful.

Very fast service. I had steak pie which must have been microwaved as it was out in less than 4 minutes. Still tasted good so for less than £8 it was great for a lunch which we needed to be very quick. Couldn't give more than 3 stars though as they only had one ale and the food quality was below average.

Nice, cozy pub with great friendly staff with an open fire and nice chilled classic music played, the beer 'bass bitter I had' was absolutely delicious as well as the food and all at a very reasonable price too. One of the nicest pubs I've ever been in so I would definitely recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely traditional small pub with excellent outdoor seating. Some fine ales on tap and a dartboard. Friendly bar staff compliment your experience. The dining area is not large but could be considered cozy. The menu could be considered traditional and mainly home cooked.

Overall experience was ok. But some of the food was wrong. 2 dishes came with chips instead of jacket potatoes and meat on mixed grills was overcooked. Can be slightly excused as there was so many of attending with a large order for lunch.
