Reasonable food. Not great but not bad. Waiting staff do a good job and the chefs also. However what has knocked the score down is the woeful state of the building. Inside and out it looks and is dilapidated. Needs some serious money spent on the place. In summary average at best.

First time for a carvery here, firstly we were seated by the carvery queue so we asked to be moved as it was busy, that was no problem. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The veg choice was amazing. The lady that served us was lovely too. Would definitely come here again

Traditional carvery with a choice of 4 meats. Well priced and pleasant service. I had Christmas dinner and bottomless coke. Just the peas were a bit dried out. Every thing else was lovely. Stairs were a bit tricky for my elderly mum . It was lovely and warm in there 😊

The waitress was excellent, cannot fault the food thoroughly enjoyed it. We were a large party and 3 noisy children so possibly not the best customers but no one complained and felt welcome. Only negative is that it was extremely hot where they put us but to accommodate such a large party I would say there was no where else to go. Overall though thankyou for putting up with us noisy lot and making us feel welcome. Definitely will be back.

On arrival we were greeted with a smile. We paid for our breakfast and drinks at the bar were we were Given our cups for our unlimited hot drinks and advised were to locate appropriate stations for drinks snd food And advised to sit on any available table. The food was all hot with plenty of options. Jam for our daughters toast also. After collecting and food we sat down to eat and after a few moments we were approached by a member of staff to check everything was ok and if we needed anything. We found this very good. The pub was busy and was nice to see staff taking time to check in customers especially when its a self service breakfast

Recently, The Plough had unfortunately not been up to a good standard in terms of the food, however as of yesterday this was right back on track. I was really pleased to find this because it had always been a favourite and I was really disappointed when the standards has seemed to slip. Definitely can recommend again now.

Building is a little tired. Could do with a refurb but the staff were lovely, attentive, efficient and friendly but not always hovering. Food was good, hot and plenty of it, my son gad a carvery and went large, the yorkies were enormous plenty of meat and a good selection of fresh veg. I had the club ciabatta with roasts, it was lively with plenty of meat on it. I'm very picky, I got exactly what I ordered. Would definitely go again, reasonably priced too.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Was really busy but still managed to find us a table. No issue with a childs meal for my husband as he has had bariactic surgery (unlike alot of places),staff were very helpful and friendly, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely visit again

Excellent service and value for money. We attended as a family of 6, we were made very welcome on arrival after booking online. The carvery was tasty and the meat portions were generous, all of the sides on offer were fresh and there was a good choice of vegetables inc pasta. The waiting on staff were friendly and polite. The pudding menu had a number of choices and we made the most of this, having treacle sponge, brownie and the crumble. These were scrumptious and homemade and again the portions were generous. We had a lovely time and would recommend to others.

Very hot day so it was also hot around the table which couldn't be helped. The food was mostly very dry due to the heat lamps keeping the food warm but it didn't taste too bad apart from the roast potatoes were quite hard due to the overheating

The interior is rundown and needs decorating badly tables were sticky and in need of refresh carpets your feet stuck to them and needed replacing just as bad as Wetherspoon's. The staff were very pleasant the service was good the meal was of a satisfactory standard.

Enjoyed a meal here yesterday evening. The staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much for them. The food was lovely as you could tell from our (mostly) empty plates. As is often the case with Carvery's, the peas were a little dry, suggesting the food needed refreshing a little quicker. And the serving handles were very hot. But we were genuinely happy with the rest of the food and the service.

Food was OK for what we paid for it, place does need a revamp.....the two girls who served us were great, very engaging.....however the one I am guessing was the manager was more interested in her phone and allowing who I can only presume was her son, to either serve things - he bought our bill over! Or allow him to kick things, boxes etc, around the pub which quite a few guests commented on!! Not acceptable to have a child with that much energy to disrupt people, sorry but if you have no childminder don't work! Very unprofessional!

In my opinion its the best toby carvery in stoke on trent , good food and friendly staff , i would not listern to any of the bs on sot live they just go on about the exterior and interior being out dated nothing bad said about the food at all , just sounds like a bunch of old nags with nothing better to do than complain about a building being old and traditional .

We were hungry, and it was fine, roast beef a little tough, turkey and pork tender. The place itself was very tired, and on way to toilets really scruffy, main toilet door and handle sticky and horrible. We visit toby carvery at endon at least twice a week, we are always welcomed by a friendly member of staff who always go above and beyond to make our visit as comfortable as possible. Reasonable meal. Good price for a carvery and nice selection of 4 different meats to choose from. Sadly the vegetables that were on offer looked and tasted like they had been under the lamps for too long. Stuffing had dried out and was too hard texture, other vegetables appeared dry and not hot enough. It was fine for a quick meal as we were in a bit of a hurry, but won't be bothering to return. UPDATE..I've been into the Plough recently twice and the vegetables were much better. The staff waiting on are lovely, friendly and cheerful. Much happier to go there nowadays.

Hit and miss. Went Wednesday, lovely fresh reasonable price. Went Sunday, dry added £4 on the price I understand weekend prices may raise but £4 for the same meal. To top it off waiting to be served someone walks in front gets served and seated then the staff who saw and did this left us waiting. My advice go in the week.

From the moment we walked in the service was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The waiters & waitresses who served us were polite, efficient and helpful. It’s a carvery. It’s what it says on the tin. Everything was fresh, plenty of it and the chefs both cared about what they served, even asking us on our way out if everything was ok. Managers please take note… your staff make this place.

Went for breakfast. It costs £7 per person and is available from 9am to 11am. It is a buffet breakfast so you can go up more than once for food. Depending on the number of people in the restaurant can impact on the quality of the food. Some food may have been left for a while so it looks dry, slightly cold or sitting in oil or the food may have been used up and you will have to wait for more food to be cooked. The pub is looking tired and run down. It needs updating and painting. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Breakfast is amazing. Only reason I didn't give it five stars was the chef was slow out with some items and rather than making sure plenty of plates were out he was chatting with his buddies in the back. However, it was Sunday morning so I can give him some slack. The unlimited drinks is also 100% the way to go. My only gripe food wise is that the bacon wasn't crispy, but that is a personal preference.

Lovely pub, great grub, the Yorkshire pudding Wraps are amazing. The staff are brilliant especially hannah. Lovely scenery and the mural on the wall outside is exquisite, get yourself in there if your in the area, the prices are good for food and drink. They also have the euro on at the moment and service is great so if you want a beer and watch the footy it's the perfect place

I've been coming to this Toby carvery since my son was a baby, he is now 13 years old. It has a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Staff are friendly, chatty and welcoming...they always have time for us and our children are made to feel very welcome. My whole family loves the place. In fact, we wont go any other. 5star 100%.

Visited a few times since it is handy when visiting relatives. Carvery is usually the best option, but like all carveries you sometimes end up queuing for a while during peak periods. Similarly, a couple of our party during the last visit opted for meals off the menu, and these took ages to arrive. Despite this, food seems good.

Could so easily been 5 stars. Food was well cooked and a good selection for the buffet breakfast But... . Only 2 of the 4slots in the toaster were working, caused quite a queue. Paid for unlimited coffee and tea... Cleared away before we finished eating so we got one mug only! Warned that they were clearing the breakfast area away but they had already removed the bread etc from the DIY toast area!! I would have liked Toast and marmalade to finish and had had a small breakfast to leave room for it. Like I said, could of been 5 stars with a little bit of courtesy.

If this review was based on the food it would be 5* toilets need to be checked more often and rules for pool table need reviewing when it's Sunday afternoon and a young boy wants a game of pool with his dad. They were a bit ott with the rules. Deposits needed etc. Price reasonable and generally looked clean and well kept.

Fairly standard Toby Carvery experience. Food is good and an OK selection of drinks. A pool table and dartboard are available for a bit of entertainment, as well as a couple of machines. The location is conveniently place just outside Stoke on the main road, with plenty of free parking to the front and the rear.

We called in for breakfast. Even tho it was cold outside we expected it to be warm inside but it wasn't. We had to keep our coats on. When we went for our food we had to wait for fresh trays to be bought out. We found the food to be warm/cold not hot at all. We will not be visiting here again.

Visited today February 19th,food was ok but the venue itself is in serious need of a refurb,All the paint is peeling, toilets were dirty,Just generally a run down building. Not the best experience We have been many times before and it was nice, but on this occasion all the vegetables were not on display and the chef said he would notify us when they were. This never happened so we hardly had any. When we were going the waitress asked if we enjoyed the meal and we said we had been waiting for the vegetables to come out so this spoilt the meal completly. The chef came over and apologised for his error and eventually offered us a free meal. We have not been back since.

Great place, I went for Sunday lunch on my own :( and I was treated so well, the waitress made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed and kept, without being intrusive, coming to check I was ok.
