Lovely food and great service, specifically Andrew who went above and beyond. We had the Moving Mountains burger and the cherry brownie cheesecake which were both really good. Not a huge vegan menu but enough choice to have a nice meal out. Will definitely come again for food and/or drinks. Nice atmosphere for a mid week evening

Excellent lunchtime meal. Staff very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. I had the 2 course menu which was delicious and very good value for money. The crumble was homemade and a real treat to have such good quality food on offer. Would recommend !

Went for a Sunday dinner. Atmosphere is good and everyone was having a nice time. The staff were very good and communicated with us very well. Food is average but the price was very reasonable. Home made Yorkshire would improve the Sunday roast massively.

Have not been for a long time. But very nice clean looks great staff very helpful certainly went the extra mile very impressed with the food was cook how we liked it because they asked how we would have it at home and it came to us perfect will most definitely be going back again Jan's pudding she said was massive and will always come to mind when we are thinking of somewhere to go for something to eat and not over expensive . Me and my family went for a meal this afternoon and it was absolutely fab. To be honest the only reason we went there was because we'd been before. We chose this place again because of how accommodating they are. Our daughter has many special educational needs and finds situations like this stressful and will let everyone in earshot know this too. The Staff here are unbelievable. My daughter loves it here and that is 100% down to the relaxed attitude of the staff. We all love it too, food is beautiful.

Called in on route back from Alton Towers and was really impressed with the the staffs willingness to accommodate my children's dietary needs and autism needs. The meals where hot and great value for money will defiantly be calling again. Very friendly staff.

I visited this public house/restaurant recently with my family including 3 children, I found the bar, waiting staff and manager very helpful, polite and went that extra mile to ensure that we had the best visit possible. Perfect. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

The five stars are for Greene King the owners that have transformed a local pub into a Dinning & Socialising hive of activity. Our table was booked on the first day of the spring bank holiday weekend 2018 at 6.30pm. Alas the local football team Stoke had just be relegated from the premiership, so only a few people in to start with. Never the less lots of reserved tables including a 80th Birthday. The staff & surroundings very welcome & the dinning room spacious, clean and ready for the night, with a band booked later in the evening. The menu has something for everyone & some good deals. The wine list had good choices, the selection of beers & ales fantastic, with a cocktail list and some lovely liquors. The venue started to fill with families, parties & football supporters debriefing themselves over fine food and drink. The staff worked hard to keep the flow of the evening going. The bathrooms were very clean, always a good sign, the outside seating area was welcoming and the locals friendly. The band was a four piece & very talented. So for the price, surroundings & management of the venue a big five Stars.

With the run up to Christmas The Windmill did not disappoint us. We came here today for our sons 1st Birthday meal. 6 adults and 2 children. They catered for us all. Wide range of food and drinks to chose from. All of our meals came out hot and tasty. Great range of drinks to choose from alcoholic and non alcoholic. The atmosphere the lighting the sound everything was spot on. Cannot fault them. Extremely friendly staff who went above and beyond and went that extra mile to cater for us and our little boy who enjoyed his meal. For anyone who is planning a visit to The Windmill you will not be disappointed. I highly recommended this to any couples, family’s. Both of our boys our son and my stepson and our family were all made to feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left. It is also very Covid-19 safe with the staff cleaning and hand sanitising regularly which we saw during the duration of our visit. We will definitely be returning for our sons second birthday next year but we will make sure we visit before then. Thank you to the staff who were working today 04/12/2021 for going above and beyond. Good ale & superb tasty food. What's not to like. We pulled in after a four hour drive back from Devon, thirsty & ravenous. The landlord and staff were very welcoming & got us settled with a drink. My wife had roast beef & I had lamb shank. Delicious with mixed roast vegetables & potatoes. Then Karen had profiteroles & cream but I just wanted ice cream. Huge bowls full. We were pleasantly stuffed & a very reasonable price too.

This is always my go to place for delicious food and polite staff. Nothing is ever too much for them regardless of our requests. My daughter is 3 and has autism and we gave them the heads up just incase her behaviour was going to distract other customers and they were amazing put us at ease and told us to not worry which is something I always find reassuring ( so far we have had no issues with her she loves it like us ) I would recommend this place to anyone after delicious food and great atmosphere you feel like your at home if I could give more than 5 stars I would! Amazing!! Highly recommend the lasagne and cheesy garlic bread yum! Great meals for all ages the kids menu you get more than enough for your money.

Got a response to my review and they are look in to the problem so to improve things so up my stars from 3 to 4. Chicken was cooked too fast so outside was burnt and inside under cooked the staff said very sorry and asked if we wanted anything else but did not really understand what they meant and moved very quickly from our table.

Had a lovely lunch today, the lunch menu is such good value, especially the kids meals which are a main and sweet for £3.99 and are very good quality. Nice pub. Friendly staff and food was good value for money. There were a few really drunk football fans in the bar who were loud and could be off putting but it was the World Cup so will give them the benefit of the doubt and try another visit

Had a few meals there and the food has arrived promptly and proved to be good value for the money. There are limited gluten free options on the menu and when I mentioned at the bar that my wife was coeliac and had to have gluten free food the chef came and discussed it with us and even checked that she was not also lactose intolerant which can sometimes be the case with coeliacs. We were impressed.

Wanted to take my friend to a different place in Stoke-on-Trent and stumbled across this little Gem! Warm and welcoming with lovely decor and a great menu selection on offer. Absolutely overjoyed that they stock low alcohol Rekorderlig and for a reasonable price - actually caught my friend off guard when she paid for the first round and was cheaper than expected!! We had the Wagyu burger and 8oz Rump steak (rare) and were more than impressed with the quality that we received! I am particularly fussy about my steak as usually it gets overcooked elsewhere but absolutely no problem here at all. In fact we enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed until close and returned the following day for a fabulous Sunday Roast! FOH team were really friendly and knew their products well; will definitely be returning soon!! #morethansatisfied #warmwelcome
