As Weatherspoons go all look the same in the bar our room was spotless we upgraded and had a settee as well as a super king-size bed great sleep very comfy

The staff and owners at the Black Horse Inn are amazing! The food was great. Burger was really fresh and meaty. Lovely pub with some comfy seats and an outdoor bit too. I hear the themed nights and quiz are great, I'll be back for those!

One of the few proper pubs left in Pontarddulais and surrounding area. Most have either closed or been turned into restaurants. Good selection of beers and wines, and also serve food. I just drank so can't comment on that. Run by hard working and friendly people who were nearly forced out by the greedy brewery putting up the rent because they've made a success of it. We'll done in standing up to them. I will be using your facilities again.

We popped in on their opening day for a quick recce. The new landlords have decorated in a lovely, contemporary style, with comfortable sofas, as well as your standard tables and chairs. We had a quick look at the menu, which seems to have something for everyone, but didn't actually see anything coming out of the kitchen to gawk at (though here were people in the dining area).

Very nice family pub and extremely friendly. They cater for large parties and it's very well organised. Food is fantastic and you get a lot for your money. I'd recommend the mixed grill, it's cooked to your liking and tastes fantastic. Will definitely go again.

Not bad pub grub, the best deal is 2 for 1 on a Monday..it's a quiet pub with a old fashioned feel to it. Quite good value for money, choose your day carefully for the best offer that is suited to you. I found the staff friendly and didn't wait too long for the food There is a large car park at rear which is needed as the pub is right next to a busy road. There is also a small outdoor area with tables if eating outside takes your fancy.

Service was very good, food was nice. Staff friendly. Chose what I wanted, went to the bar and tried to order. I wanted the two course deal. Lady told me that was excluded. It didn't state on the menu. Customers shouldn't have to check the App or go online to find out exclusions. It should be on the menu.

Enjoyed a 1 course Sunday carvery for £7.50. Was worth the money, and I was mostly pleased with the meal. Would have given 5* if the 'roast' potatoes had been roasted, and not fried.

This is a typical brains pub menu. The staff were friendly enough but they didn't bring the side orders and we had to wait for our deserts. They were definitely understaffed. Food quality was average but it's a friendly 'local' feeling pub.

Nice environment but some issues with orders where I needed a 3rd choice starter. Food could have been hotter at times and salad garnish desperately needed a dressing as it was dry. Also some incorrectly labelled beer didn't help but it didn't cause a problem. Otherwise good service and resolve these issues that were relatively minor and it would get 5 stars.

We booked a table for 22 people to sit down for food at 7.30. food didn't start arriving until half past 9. 4 meals were sent back for being stone cold or over cooked. food arrived in dribs and drabs usually half hour window between tables. service was appalling. there was another big table eating there and obviously the pub couldn't handle the amount they had in. they microwave your food if you send it back cold!!! Ridiculous pices for the shocking service you receive. 22 people will never ever return!!
