Struggled to find a country pub open for food outside stand 12-2 & 6-9pm. Looking for pub serving at 3.30pm. Stumbled across beaufort Arms, kittle, near Swansea. Dropped in for very late lunch. Restaurant was third full. Ordered 2x gammon and a spice meat pizza. Arrived in 10-15 mins. Gammon was thick piece served with crispy thick chips. Pizza was homemade and flavoursome. Washed down with 2x coke and pint of Stowford press. Came to £39. By the time we left we were only ones in the upper restaurant. All left happy

The food was delicious and it was one of the best places to eat whilst visiting Gower. The pub has a lovely beer garden to sit in to soak in the sun. The staff are very welcoming, efficient and provide a great service. I will definitely recommend for good food with a lovely atmosphere.

Really helpful and friendly staff. We parked up here in our motor home for two nights, driving away and exploring during the day. They were more than happy for us to do this after food and drinks and even gave us an electric hook up. Definitely recommend

On a wet Sunday, the Beaufort Arms took a booking for 24 soggy campers and dealt with the ensuing chaos with aplomb. The food is decent standard pub chain fayre with good sized portions. Don't expect gourmet food but perfect if you're hungry. The staff were first class. The guy taking the orders behind the bar was totally unfazed by the large group booking and the serving staff were super friendly and efficient. The food arrived quickly which was perfect with loads of hungry teens. The beer was good too. Good service and decent food and beer. Recommended.

Excellent staff. Nice and clean. You could say the menu was like a 2 for 1 or similar but it was cooked great. I had my first full rack of ribs and the bones fell off. Lush. Hubby had the 14oz rump. He would say 7 out of 10 just because the meat was a little dry and didn't come with the usual mushrooms and not an awful lot of chips. We are gutsy chip lovers. Anyway. .. do visit and try. Came to the Beaufort for what must have been the first time in a year or so due to the pandemic. We missed coming here as it's a lovely pub. I was really pleased to see the quality of food hasn't changed and we really enjoyed our meals. The pub is so well organised in terms of covid regulations and the staff are marvellous. The lady who served us (apologies if I get your name wrong, it's difficult to hear people with masks on) Mandy I think, was great. She kept an eye that anything that we or the other tables needed was provided quickly to prevent people getting up and walking around. After visiting a different pub that was not organised at all I can honestly say I appreciate the effort of the staff at the Beaufort so much more for keeping everyone safe and stress free! Thank you all.

Gabriel served us and was a true gentlemen and went out of his way to accommondate us and make us feel welcome. The atmosphere was lovely and the log burner was a real treasure. Its a good place to meet up with friends and family and has lots of little alcoves. The pie and chips were ok but not very warm but the extra veg was an unexpected treat.

Just called and the staff member was not sure of the closing time. She was certain however that last orders for food was at 7.45pm. Too early please reconsider this time. 10pm closing time on Friday and Saturday should also be reconsidered. Always enjoyed the Cockett Inn though opening and food times should be considered.

We first came across the Beaufort Arms a few years ago when it was nice old village pub and have visited it a few times since. Yes it had seen better days, but it had character and it was friendly, clean and the food was great, but best of all it served ‘Brains Dark Smooth’, a great beer that I first tasted there and after which I was hooked. It has been a while since we last visited and I was very disappointed to find that it had succumbed to modernisation thereby losing its character and charm and to my great disappointed, they don’t serve ‘Brains Dark Smooth’ any more, the main reason for returning. So after that bomb shell we decided to leave, whether the food is any good I can’t say, but sadly we won’t be back again to find out. Finally, I would like to say, it’s very sad that more and more pubs are losing their character and looking more and more like every other sterile chain.

The beers were very good. We were told we had to wait for food for an hour from the time of ordering, having booked a table earlier in the day. The venu was not busy. The food menu was unusual and quite expensive. We left and returned to one of our usual establishments.

This is my post Gower beach walk pub. It is a Brains Brewery pub. The food is good and there is plenty of choice. The bar is cosy with a big TV for the sport. There is a large restaurant in the rear. They serve great real ales. I like this pub because dogs are allowed in the stone floor area in the bar. There is also a great beer garden out the back which is dog friendly too.

We ordered fajitas and Asian noodle bowl with king prawns. Fajitas we're tasty but had been cooked in a bit too much oil for me. Asian bowl sounded very nice on paper but was disappointed - no kick to it, definitely not king prawns and generally lacking in flavour seemed to have dried chilli and coriander real shame. No one came to check our food was ok. Think we're short staffed we did wait a while to order but polite and friendly. Live locally in Gower and probably won't rush back for food certainly go for drinks very wide range and nice beer garden.

The Beaufort is a great pub just outside of mumbles towards gower. It's dog freidnly outside and in the down stairs bar. The menu is great with only a few different options per meat topped off with a spacials board too. I had the Gammon with chips n egg and it was outstanding as you can see from the pictures that's alot of meat for £10.95. Both into and out are very clean with very helpful staff.

Turned up with 10 people and two dogs for food. We're normally told to stay in the bar area because of the dogs, but there wasn't room so without argument allowed us into the restaurant. We were told there would be a small delay on the meal due to one of the orders, no problem. All good, everything came out together no later than I'd have expected anyway, steaks cooked as requested, everything hot and tasty! Could not fault it at all!

Great little pub with large variety of drinks and a menu filled with pub favourites. Friendly atmosphere with a selection of TVs showing sport. Took my partner's dog with me and age was welcomed with a bowl of water while I had a San Miguel with a butternut squash and chickpea tagine. Read my book in peace with a second pint while the dog sat enjoying a couple of pats from locals as they past. Will be back soon.

I guess a "normal" neighborhood pub in Wales - we enjoyed the live music and lively spirit, fantastic if you are not used to this kind of pub culture. Food is as it always is in pubs.

the greatest boozer in creation ( i am sober) legendary staff, top notch food. literally a proper pub. looking for a michelin star lunch for affordable prices - the cockett inn. want a friendly and pleasant atmosphere whilst sipping on some brains (the beer obviously) look no further. also a personal reccomendation the steak and ale pie (unles ur hindu ofc) whenever i feel like watching some sport (eg the swans or wales) is the cockett inn showing it is the question i immediately ask myself. 10/10 would go to in an instant sadly im at school atm tho so i can't, deinitely going afterwards tho.

Had a fabulous lunch at the Cockett Inn Cockett Swansea on Tuesday 25th August,not been there before but was totally surprised by how the pub (owned by Brains Brewery)has been brilliantly refurbished.I went with my husband and disabled granddaughter who is in a wheelchair.Although there was one step into the dining area,it posed no problem.We were met by a lovely young lady called Lorna who was fast friendly and efficient.We had for lunch two beef and ale pies with peas and chips and jugs of gravy,and one sausage mash peas and gravy.Did not have to wait very long for our meal and when it arrived it was hot and plenty of it.Have to say that we were delighted with our meal and value, two for £10 and the third meal was full price prob about £6.99 can't remember exactly.The pint of Fosters was only £2 and you could have Brains beer for £2.I asked the waitress if there was a disabled toilet and to my amazement there was and 5 star for cleanliness and size of toilet to get wheelchair in.We filled in a questionnaire with e.mail address and low and behold when we arrived home we had been sent a voucher to have a free drink on Brains Brewery on our next visit.You can't get better than that.Well I know now where to get good meals, good value and good service,with great surroundings. Well done to Cockett Inn.Been telling family and friends about you.Thank you Lorna and Cockett Inn.
