Took the chance and arrived, it was an early evening sitting for 3, had to take a chance as no one answered the phone or replied to the email sent and boy did we try on the phone... Service was fair to OK when they weren't all chatting. Food was just above pub grub average, ate chicken strips starters they were a little to dry and crunchy for 2 of us, the burgers I had blue cheese on mine was real tasty but a bit of a mess on the plate and the deserts were all lovely would I go back?..... yes if I can get an answer on the phone to make a booking....

We were taken to our table but, 20 minutes later, we still waited to give our drinks order so we went to the bar ourselves to order. Yes, it was busy but I don't think they had enough staff to cope. When our meals arrived, we asked for no lemon wedge with the fish & chips, as one of our party had a citrus allergy, however it arrived with the the wedge of lemon and the waitress then took off the lemon, thinking that would be ok - not!! The meal was taken away for a fresh piece of fish to be cooked. The other meals weren't piping hot but having already returned one meal and given the overall experience, we ate them regardless. Such a shame it wasn't the best experience, particularly as a visit the week before was excellent.

Batter on the fish was soggy and had to wait 3 or 4 minutes before the chips arrived. With the exception of those ordering burgers any meal with chips just sat there waiting for chips to arrive. Apart from the 'battered' fish the meals were regarded as excellent.

Excellent evening with good friends in the private room upstairs. Staff were cheerful, helpful and efficient and the food was very good, too. I recommend the Kingsbridge for any private group up to 14 people and, having eaten in the main restaurant on previous occasions, I would recommend this venue whole-heartedly. .

Been here a few times. The first couple of times the mixed grill was beautiful. The last two visits were terrible. The staff were hard-faced and not very pleasant, as if the job was a strain on them. I ended up having my mixed grill for free due to the gammon being undercooked, let alone being cooked well done. All-in-all, a nice place with beautiful furniture, nice music and warm atmosphere. Kingsbridge gets a 3 star rating for me due to it’s unpredictability in regard to it’s food and the odd ignorant staff.

The food was great but the service let it down. Servers forgot drinks, got an order wrong and forgot a dessert (were told by 2 different servers "I have a terrible memory"). The worst part though was having to eat dessert (baring in mind one arrived late as had to ask for it) while they were cleaning the kitchen with bleach. Not pleasant while you're eating.

What a place for food. Heard about it saying it was nice. Obviously nice is an understatement. We had lunch there on Saturday every dish was fantastic. Plenty of it good quality and not over priced. The service was excellent they could do enough. We were that impressed we booked there for Sunday Lunch. Again service and food Excellent. We went for Sunday lunch and it was a really good traditional Sunday dinner. There was a good selection of meats with plenty of veg. The staff were very efficient and attentive, always being on hand to supply more gravy or mint sauce. It would have been a five star rating but the potatoes were under cooked. A good meal reasonably priced in pleasant surroundings.

Haven't been here for ages - my how it's changed! Lovely decor throughout. Great restaurant area served an imaginative range of dishes at reasonable prices. The chefs coped v. efficiently with our group of 16 and another similar sized group at the same time. Waiting staff all very capable and friendly making our visit really enjoyable.

Spent a wonderful evening at the Kingsbridge Inn last night with my friends for our Christmas celebrations. We went upstairs to the private room as a group of ladies for my daughters pre wedding partie ....it was brilliant .staff call up all the time to see if u needed drinks .take ur order for food .there's a WiFi divise up there where u can connect ur phone so u can have music .the food was spot on .all in all .if u have a large get together it is highly recommended. Staff venue food and bonus try meet to the boxer dogs .we had a fabulous time with no pressure to leave and the room is really lovely .nothing else like it in the area .will defiantly be using it again for family birthday parties
