Dog friendly, fabulous food, such lovely warm staff, havent felt that welcome in a pub for a very long time. Cannot rate them high enough. Call ahead when booking for food, they have a restaurant one side, a bar the other, and a marquee in the carpark. Ample parking for a busy place, also a beer garden although I didnt see that.

What a lovely welcoming pub. We were staying just around the corner. It was our first holiday with our dog Baloo. Having never been away with a dog before, we were a bit lost as to what to do and where to go. Once we found out this was a dog friendly pub, we went in. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to some of the locals. Mark, and Mark, Linden, Yuri, and the owner who looks like a skinny Meatloaf (the singer). You guys were so welcoming and really made us feel at ease, and made us laugh, allot. Thank you for your warmness and your lovely acceptance of Baloo the dog. As mentioned the food is so lovely but we must say the peas and the potatoes were out of this world 😉. Lovely family friendly pub, it's been beautifully decorated, the staff always give you a warm welcome and are very friendly. Have always been able to get a table even at short notice. And the Sunday lunch is absolutely beautiful, very reasonably priced and nothing is too much trouble. Love it here. Fast becoming a firm favourite of ours.

It was quiet when we were there as it was early but there were other customers. The menu is good but I chose a special, steak and bbq ribs combo. It was tasty and the steak was cooked exactly as requested, the ribs were meaty and tender, but the saute potatoes still had a firmness to them which put me off eating them. My friend had chicken in peppercorn sauce with chips and said it was delicious. The pub has an old fashioned look about it and was very cosy. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

First visit and sat in a very lovely table in the sun. My starters were garlic mushrooms.... cooked just with the right amount of garlic. My main course was Hunters Chicken with bbq sauce on the side and I must say the chicken was very flavour some. So all in all, with excellent service from the ladies, we will certainly pop along again for a meal.

Nice old fashioned pub, recently refurbished to a high standard. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals, prices are reasonable. Couldn't fault the staff and service. It's nice to support our local ale houses.

My friend and I had the most wonderful meal. We chose the Sirloin Steak with all the trimmings. The steak was so tender it melted in your mouth. Everything on our plates were hot and beautifully presented. I would recommend not only the food but the lovely warm welcome we both received.

Always a friendly welcome, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful food and lots of it. Even a decent cup of hot coffee and a very good pint. Never had a bad .real here, be it steak, curry, roast etc. Highly recommended, good value.

Visited, after booking, to meet a friend. All covid restrictions in place, staff helpful, friendly and attentive. We had coffee and desserts. Yum yum, apple crumble and date and toffee sponge pudding, both with custard, delightful.

Had a wonderful meal in The Reverend James. Welcomed by friendly staff who were more than happy to help and answer any questions I had. I was served by a blonde girl Stacy behind the bar and Lucy the landlord's daughter on the restaurant. Both showed a very good knowledge of the pub and their products. Amazing food. Not quality service. Will definitely be returning again

Called in for a meal August 2018... Nice looking place, spacious car park, lovely attentive staff, clean and tidy inside, cosy, id like to visit in the winter, Wifi password is on the fire place, i had the chicken curry and it was flawless, hubby had the gammon, it looked great! He loved it, was nice to see on his plate was some salad, not just half a tomato like some places. Presentation was spot on, Neat and tidy beer garden at rear, plenty of room all round, i liked it and we will return to try more meals, typical i spotted the "specials" board on my way out 😆 check it out on the way in!
