Lovely pub, friendly staff, great atmosphere and even better food. We visited whilst on holiday and they accommodated a group of 13 on the day. We had a member of the group that was dairy intolerant and the waitress was very familiar with the menu and offered great options. Free Car park available, good quality food and friendly staff, would advise to book if you would like table inside, although there is outside seating with marquee so you can just turn up. Fast service, Family friendly,Dogs welcome. Lovely old style Gower building. Prices are reasonable for quality and amount of food. Fresh local ingredients used.

A lovely, welcoming Country Pub in a traditional setting, with a contemporary look. A thirst-quenching stop after a bike ride along the Marsh Road from Crofty. Great selection of drinks, and a first class menu sourcing local Gower produce. Great pizza too!

Very nice food, well presented. A step above the usual pub grub at very reasonable prices. Staff are very efficient and friendly. Beers are well cared for and there is a good variety of them.

Visited for afternoon tea as my wife won a competition on the local radio. We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a place. The establishment appears to have been modernised recently and were were not expecting such a contemporary feel, but it worked very well. Very few people there during the day, but I imagine that is a different story in the evening. First class service from the young chap working that day. We had the upstairs to ourselves and were a little disappointed when we saw the amount of food offered for afternoon tea. However, this was unfounded as it was easily enough, although I would have preferred more sandwiches and less cake. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to pay a visit in the evening for a meal.

What a delight! Gower isn't the easiest of places to find pubs so it was a real treat to find this one, open and welcoming on August Bank Holiday Tuesday. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the building had been prepared with anti Covid measures in an effective but efficient way. We sat inside ( the bar had been recently modernised in an attractive way which hadn't obliterated the character of the pub) but outside there was also a marquee and a beautifully constructed wooden area where a large family could sit in the sunshine. The choice of food on offer was large and varied, and I particularly enjoyed the local cockles! I then had the fish and chips ( delicious) while my husband and son both thoroughly enjoyed the lamb burgers. The puddings were excellent too. I liked the way all portions were generous but not over big, so that we left satisfied but not bloated! Even more importantly, the beer was too notch. I would definitely recommend The Welcome and look forward to returning again soon.

Had delicious tapas a couple of weeks ago so decided to have a full meal today. Perfectly cooked sirloin steak with the best pepper sauce I have ever tasted. Price was really good for a 10 oz sirloin as well. Wife's lamb burger delicious as well. A real hidden gem.

The best Sunday lunch you will have! The lamb from their farm is always nice and moist just like the beef and all the veg could not be fresher, definitely recommend!

Took some friends,who were staying with me, for lunch here yesterday. We all enjoyed and I was glad that Gemima’s Pitchfork was on draft as we love our ales. The food and service was superb and couldn’t be faulted in anyway. All together this pub knocks the spots of a Carmarthenshire pub, nominated as a candidate for Camra Welsh pub of the year we had visited the day before. The beer, cleanliness and also very importantly friendliness and efficiency by staff at The Welcome Inn, put them in a different league in the opinions of all three of us. Superb!

My wife and I stopped off today for a pint in the sun. The bar staff were masked up, signing-on sheet at the door and hand sanitizer at the ready. We decided to have an impromptu sunday dinner, both choosing the lamb. After only 5 minutes of drinking our ice cold Heineken, both meals arrived well presented, hot and a massive portion. The meat was gorgeous, but so was everything else complementing it. We have been meaning to pop in for ages for food....it wont be our last visit. Well done and stay safe!!

Excellent service with the young lady and young man who were waiters upstairs in the restaurant. They were most helpful, polite and efficient. Quite an extensive menu and the food in its presentation and taste did not disappoint. Probably the best meal out we have had for a long time. I would definitely recommend you to try it for yourself and it will certainly be a venue that we shall return to. Hats off to the chef, but as important, not over pricing themselves for what is quite honestly a superb dining experience.

We like our food so made the drive as this place had good reviews and we very much enjoyed our roast dinner. Even late afternoon it tasted fresh and the gravy was the best we've ever had. The food in this pub was first class. Proper food not microwave 'ping' food. It's obviously a popular country pub with the locals. We were there at 5pm on a Wednesday afternoon and it was packed. Nice atmosphere, friendly, everyone seemed to know each other. Service was very good. The reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the bar was 3 to 4 people deep, just standing around drinking and taking. It was difficult to get to the bar to order our food.

Not what I expected for there signature roast dinner . Disappointed. It's was just Luke warm but we were hungry so just eat it. First mouthful of meat and and it was tainted by the taste and smell of cloves from the red cabbage so overpowering felt like id been to the dentists . Sorry guys always had nice food in the past
