Stopped here for lunch on Friday. I haven't been here for years amd was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely beautiful, didn't have to wait long to be served or for our food to arrive either. The orange Henry was quite possibly the best I've had. The staff were friendly, attentive and checked twice to see how our food was and if we were happy. I shall definitely be coming back. Great job guys keep up the good work.

Lovely setting and plenty of parking. Meals and drinks are reasonably priced. I do feel however some walls and window sills could do with a lick of paint and possibly some needs replacing. I'd also say there isn't a huge range on the menu to cover all food lovers but acceptable. Overall nice place for some food and drinks. Will happily go back.

Attentive service from staff who were honest enough to tell us in advance that there would be a 30 minute wait for food. Wide range of drinks available and very tasty food. It is a chain pub, rather than a freehouse, but overall, a good experience.

We stayed at the Premier Inn and had the pleasure of going to this pub, which is not affiliated with Premier Inn. The pub itself is very quaint featuring original oak beams and other original features. The beer and selection of bottles and spirits is exceptional, even to the point of samples in front of each beer pump. This oub is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.

Food was delicious, beer very nice, was just spoilt because of the lack of staff, the two girls were run off their feet, sadly made the service slow but not the fault of the working staff, should have had 4 staff on to cope with the thirsty hungry customers.

Service was slow and staff showed no real enthusiasm to greet or even look cheery. Out of ribeye steaks !?! Sirloin was cooked ok but was grisly. Finally got the bill, but staff didn't inform us that you had to pay at the bar. They also omitted the info for getting out of the carpark. Nothing majorly bad, but just a cascade of things that could have been done better with a little positive input from the staff For reference I recently visited M&C and for a similar bill I purchased more expensive drinks, better steaks, and had much better service.

Great little pub with character. For me the biggest let down is the menu. It's quite limited so not alot of choice. Food we did pick was well presented and was nicely cooked. Prices were reasonable and portions were spot on. Will return soon.

Resturant attached to the Premier inn where were were staying overnight. They squeezed us in early which is a big tick in my book. Food was very good plentiful and tasty. I had the mixed grill it was huge and my daughter had the steak and commented how good it was. One of the better establishments attached to a Premier Inn... Reasonable meal in the Friday PM , Early as it was very busy. Tip! - If you're staying at the Premier Inn... Be sure to book a table as it didn't seem to be there specifically for guests. Food was ok, I did get 'tricked' into a Vegan starter... I don't think the menu was very clear on this. I thought Koftas were lamb... Not plant based. Apart from that food and wine were fine. Great breakfast on the Sunday with my friends prior to departure. I would return.

We went to The Cold Harbour today for my Birthday celebration with my sister. When we arrived the table had been set up with banner and celebration decorations. The food was absolutely amazing as it always is when Rich & Jas are in the kitchen. Service was fab and was made to feel very special. We stayed at the premier inn next door.. on weds and Thursday night..we ate here on Wednesday night and had a fantastic meal..food and staff were amazing…we had breakfast on Thursday and Friday morning… both days were amazing..Friday morning was extremely busy..the manager Sharon was mucking in with the waitresses..such a lovely friendly person !! and so we’re the other two waitresses…keep up the good work ..we’ll be back again in a few months ( to visit family) thank you 😊 😀😀

First time eating at the Cold Harbour..and I loved it. Food was absolutely gorgeous, the staff was very friendly and extremely good at their jobs with high standards..me and the lads will 100% be back again next week. We all work away from home during the week and stay in hotels around Swindon..some restaurants have been a hit and quite a few have been a massive let down where food is concerned. The Cold Harbour's food reminds me of my Mother's cooking..in a sense their food was not only very tasty and well prepared but it also reminded me of home..so yet again, thank you!

A huge thank you to Sharon and her team, especially the kitchen staff. Saturday 4th our family group (17 of us all LF tested clear) enjoyed a lovely evening in the function room. Unable to meet up for the previous 2 years thanks to COVID….Sharon made sure the room was pre-warmed plus the tables suitably decorated for the Xmas meal..and a lovely lit tree! All agreed that the food and service received was spot on. The adjoining Premier Inn rooms were clean and comfortable and then back into the Cold Harbour Sunday morning for breakfast..Sharon and her team to serve us again!.. then we all made our way home to various parts (London, Manchester, Herts, Wilts, Oxfordshire)… we’ll be back again in Dec 22.

Sharon (the gm) was absolutely delightful! Not only was she extremely nice but she gave excellent advice on the menu and how to eat specific unique foods I hadn’t tried yet (being a foreigner). A bit average too be honest and not a patch on the George at Bathhampton which is part of the same chain with an identical menu. The service was very good despite it being a busy evening, but the food was only ok. Had a nice tasting steak but it was overcooked and the garnish had seen better days and as for the rest, it was all just a bit lackluster. Did not complain as we had waited a while to get the food we had ordered and we were hungry with time getting on. We warned about a longer waits for food because the kitchen was so busy on arrival and were fine with this not wanting to go elsewhere.

Had a lovely time here, they were extremely busy on a Saturday evening and the bar lady was clearly rushed off her feet! Yet she still made the effort to take our order with a big smile and talk us through some of the options they recommend. I also requested if we could have some soft drinks put in a champagne flute with strawberries as we were celebrating a new pregnancy with a friend - to which they did so happily (despite being very busy). Our food came quite swiftly and I was not quite happy with mine, we mentioned to the staff and they were extremely accommodating by offering me a change in dishes despite the kitchen being closed for no extra cost which was really appreciated! I don't normally write reviews but felt that this pub went out of their way to offer lovely service and make us feel welcome, would recommend highly! ☺️

Excellent, I ate here a couple of months ago and again today 18/08 /2017, both times my food has been delicious as was the rest of the meals for my fellow guests. The waitress today, I think her name was Michelle, she was attentive without being pushy and when she learnt that we were there for a birthday she brought over a little cake with a candle, it was very well received by the birthday girl. Arrived bang on 10 which is the time they stop serving breakfast, but they very kindly agreed to serve us, this included cooking 3 delicious full English breakfasts with everything else you normally get with a Premier Inn breakfast but at much a better quality due the pub being independent. Could be a lovely place. On a good night staff are very attentive, on another night, not so much. Food is also a bit hit or miss. Seems to be more geared for the Premier Inn residents next door. Not my first choice when thinking about going out for a meal. But after three poor experiences and one where we were given a full refund on both our meals, we tend to pop in if everywhere else is busy.

An old feel pub with modern furnishings and newly built extensions offering a generous selection of drinks, gins, beers, ales & spirits and a menu of good looking home cooked food (I didn't eat here) but what I did see was lots of people enjoying a rather decent sized portion of traditional home cooked foods that smelt and looked appetising. The staff were friendly, attentive and quick to serve the bar. Looking forward to going back soon.

Gorgeous decor!!! Rustic place but decorated in a lovely way! only had a quick pint. And I used the loo. But would have loved to stay for a meal. Maybe next time? What I particularly loved was that they sold delicious snacks including olives! More places should do that in my humble opinion. Also they had jugs of water and glasses to help yourself too. Highly recommend for a lovely ale

Excellent food. All 4 of us had vouchers but were told by the woman serving us that we couldn't all use them as it was 1 offer per table. It didn't say anything regarding that on the voucher t&c's. I said I would sit on a different table and the lemon the woman was sucking obviously became a little more sour. Great food, shame about the unhelpful woman.

Very nice meal but slow service. The restaurant has been very nicely refurbished and is a lot lighter then it used to be. One waiter was superb but the other one was dealt slow and got the order wrong the made excuses. It won't put us off though and will go again.

Sharon and her team are often run off their feet, but keep a positive and professional attitude and deserve a patient and polite clientele.

We came here for a family get together (15people) and the staff were helpful and patient. Half expected something to be wrong given that there were so many of us but nope, all starters delivered together and correctly and same for the mains and desserts. Food was lovely. Good food for Country Restaurant, I go annually for one reason or another. Service is always a little strained, getting things right or charging for every little extra is annoying (£3 for pigs-in-blankets x2 option on my Christmas dinner silly charge and didn't arrive latest example) but we'll cooked country grub in good surroundings.

For a chain pub, this place is pretty good. Even though it has a premier Inn next to it it is quite well used by locals too. The people there are generally very friendly and the food is usually to good pub standard. Our grown up kids like it there too.

I eat here infrequently when I visit relatives, and the menu seems to change every time. They used to have a great menu that had 3 mini pies or 3 mini burgers on it so that you got to try all they had to offer. They don't do that anymore and I wish they'd bring it back. Good food at a decent price in an odd location.

One big disaster. Mothers day ruined. Table booked for 2.30, sat down 3.20 then waited 40 mins for someone to take orders. 25 mins later starters arrived, then had to wait another 30 mins for main meal Waited at bar for 20 mins to get a drink just one person serving. By the time we had our 3 courses it was 6.15. Daughter had a go with manager and the 5 mums are free. By the way my mixed grill when I eventually got it was dire. Steak I couldn't cut chips and gammon like warm chicken was ok. Overall ruined day. Wont go back there.
