We visited and there was an issue where the festive menu was on the app but activated by accident, so the food we ordered they couldn’t get for us. Was disappointing but one of the employees came over to explain, probably expecting us to have a go at them! They were so helpful and made it super easy for us to get a refund and said they’d make sure if we placed another order that everything came out at the same time. They even brought over the refund receipt and made extra effort to reassure us. It was really good service despite that issue and was seriously impressed with the blonde human who helped us :) didn’t get their name but they’re an absolute asset to the company that’s for sure. P.s. the food we did have was so good 😍 thank you!

Very vibrant pub, known locally am told as a sports pub. Food available but haven't tried it so can't comment on that. Indoor bar area very traditional decor, as are the other inside seating areas. There is a meeting room come seating area to the back of the property for hire. Located on the High Street in Royal Wootton Bassett, this building is a fully renovated old coaching Inn, where the old court yard is now the outside covered area. Locally was told, its known as a sports pub. Was busy and noisy, majority of the patrons were in outside area, cooler in this heat wave!

Nice enough pub with lots of space, but at over £5 for a pint, prices were a little high, particularly as we had been drinking at the hotel over the road and paying £4. Nice that dogs were made welcome.

Great food , fresh and hot served very fast and despite the current covid-19 situation, masks were not required and they were on it with the one way system and social distancing. The staff were very nice and friendly.

I really liked the place, it's a nice pub. Got once a sirloin steak that was ok, and another time fish and ship that wasn't ok, I mean, very plain, with absolutely no taste at all.

What a fabulous pub. Staff were so friendly, the coffee was excellent and the burger was to die for. Two meals and two coffee's for £20. Will definitely go back there

Was disappointed to find the menu only had pizza and burgers due to technical issues. Burger was fine. Sat outside in the yard on a lovely sunny day but surrounded by smokers. Not what we wanted.

We have dined regularly Cross Keys over the last few years and the food is very tasty and well presented and good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and there is a choice of indoor, covered garden room or outside garden which gives everyone a choice of seating to feel safe in respect to social distancing and fresh air. Very highly recommended.

first time i have been to this venue and i must say i was overly impressed by their handling of the covid procedures. the staff - very friendly. the food - top tier. i had the pleasure of eating "the loaded burger" and boy did i feel loaded. my better half had a small portion of fish and chips. the beer batter was divine and the fish nice soft flaky chunks just as you would hope

Visited for Sunday lunch with my husband and 2 children. It was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were friendly & attentive. Food was lovely & service was quick! Only intended to have a main course, but ended up staying for dessert, coffee & a drink! Lovely setting, welcoming families & well behaved dogs! Lovely little garden too.

We went for Sunday lunch and it was lovely. I had beef my family had chicken, they gave us extra yorkshire puddings and it was just a really well cooked Sunday lunch. The pub has obviously been designed for gigs so don't expect a country pub with a warming fire. But to be honest the food we had at the Cross Keys beats a lot of those pubs hands down and the staff were lovely. We will be going again.

Appears to be part of a chain. Went for lunch - food was fine but I'd rather not have had the mustard type sauce or gherkins in my burger. The chilli sauce that came as a dip was horrible too - I suppose I expected sweet chilli sauce which it certainly wasn't.

We came in at 4.30 today for nothing more than a place to avoid the rain. Decided to stay for a drink and some lunch. Drinks choice was great for every spirit, and prices seem more than reasonable. Food was very good for a pub, the standards much higher than most places i've visited locally (living in Marlborough). overall, a great stop on my way through town.

Excellent newly-refurbished quality pub. Staff are lovely; service great - the team are ever-active and empties are regularly cleared. From the central flagstone walkway, you can choose the public bar (with sport TV channels), or the lovely beer garden, and there's a food area (that we didn't try). On the 'slightly dearer' side overall, but worth it, as it's a really good place.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, very attentive. We had sausages and mash with beer gravy, topped off with a giant onion ring. It was delicious, the sausages have a frankfurter taste with a gentle hit of pepper. The mash is smooth and tasty. Now, the gravy is amazing, rich with onion and beer. Price is very reasonable, excellent.

Nice pub with decent food and good beer. The beer garden is excellent, lots of room and partly covered for those rainy days. Inside is very nicely decorated with comfy seating and room inbetween the tables so you don't feel crammed in.

Warm welcome. Dog friendly, even some free dog treats which I thought was a nice touch. Good quality ales and premium largers available. Not a place for the rifraf. Sky sports for the rugby, nicely presented pub grub, think they had a roast going on when I was in on Sunday. Definitely be popping back for and evening meal in the near future.

Young Fido tells me that he thoroughly enjoyed his impromptu visit to the Cross Keys in Royal Wootton Bassett. He was though a little upset about the poor choice of doggy food on the menu. He did appreciate the availability of free canine snacks and water. Apparently the 'locals' and the staff were lovely to him. He was full of glee when I picked him up in the (rather boring) High Street. Indeed he was so full of praise that I might go inside there myself sometime soon. In fact, I may even take Flossie and her chums into the Cross Keys with me as I herd them towards the butchers' shop. On behalf of Fido may I write that it's "woofing nice place"

The pub looks lovely and had a great atmosphere. We walked in at 7:20. Went up to order about 10 mins later and was told kitchen closed at 7:30. The menu (in my opinion) has far too many hot/ spicy options anyway. I wouldn't visit again for food because of that.
