Crosskeys now under new management as from November 2021. We went in for lunch and dinner yesterday as our visitor from the US loves visiting local pubs while staying here. He wasn’t disappointed the ale, the welcome was warm and friendly so we thought we’d come back for dinner. I had the best fish and chips I’d eaten in ages and my companions enjoyed their beef casseroles. As locals, we look forward to our next visit. Would recommend!

We visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon . There weren't many people there but it deserves to be much busier. Ample parking and outdoor seating, all good quality. Great range of Wadsworth beer and lots of pleasant indoor seating. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Will come again.

I'm writing a review because I believe the staff deserve better treatment than what they received from a group of customers today. We went out for a meal for my birthday and for fathers day and the service was a little slow but I understand most places are struggling with staffing issues at the moment (including where I work) so we were patient and the food was worth the wait. The group sat behind us were disgusting and rude and made a scene out of everything. The poor waitresses were clearly very upset by this, and despite them dealing with the group professionally and respectfully, they had clearly reached their breaking point - and I don't blame them. Pat on the back for all that you do, hang in there.

We have just moved very near to there cross keys & were greeted on our first day by Karianne, Nathan the landlady and landlord and Ryan. They were very welcoming and made sure we could get some food even though they’d stopped serving (which was lovely!) as we had nothing at the house. They also make little dog treat bags and sweets for kids which my dog loved! The cross keys has quickly become one of my favourite pubs with a good selection of food and drink & I will continue to come here regularly. The staff really do go above and beyond and they also hold very good conversations :) highly highly recommend. Coming here has been an amazing welcome to Wanbrough! Thanks guys!

We hired the conservatory at the Cross Keys for a naming ceremony for our babies and the staff could not have been more attentive. The location is beautiful and the room was perfect for what we wanted - Karianne allowed us to go in the night before to set up/ decorate exactly how we liked, and as the room opened up onto the patio/ garden we were then able to use this as it was such a lovely day. They also provided the catering (we opted for a pizza buffet from the wood fired pizza oven) which was amazing, and much more reasonably priced compared to a lot of the quotes we’d received from other venues. I’d even forgotten that we had a vegan coming, but Karianne was more than accommodating and provided her with an additional meal free of charge! Thank you to the Cross Keys & all of the staff for enabling us to hold the perfect event here!

It was lunchtime and my mum's birthday. We weren't aware that its only a three course lunch option on Monday but it didn't put us off. Halloumi fingers and the pate for starters, the pate was ok, easily get from a supermarket was my mother's response. The halloumi fingers were nice but the salad had seen better days. The main was spicy chicken burger, and the spinach and ricotta ravioli, the ravioli had no flavour and not attractive, the chicken burgers were just chicken fillets coated and a dollop of sweat chilli sauce, the fries were nice. The desserts, creme brulee, brownie and ice cream. Creme brulee was cold and had a dollop of whipped cream, no crack like traditionally served, brownie overdone, ice cream was okay. I probably won't come back of I'm honest.
