Popped in for a Sunday roast for my dad’s birthday and they also cater for Coeliacs! Which is amazing! The portion size is more than generous and there’s the option of having a bit of each meat on offer - which for my inner pig is a dream! Especially as it means I don’t have to make a decision over which meat to have 😂 The staff are friendly and helpful, able to answer any questions and always on hand if needed! Great atmosphere and selection of drinks and they also do gluten free desserts too! Thanks for having us! ❤️

Lovely little pub, amazing Sunday dinner, friendly staff and lovely beer garden with a huge apple tree ! Right opposite the train station, so if your train is delayed, I recommend you call in here 🙂 🍺🌳

Stopped off for a drink before going on the train journey to Newbury. We ended up ordering the roast dinner and it was lovely. All fresh veg and very generous portion sizes. I would highly recommend the roast. Really friendly down to earth staff too.

We came here after a long weekend in Swindon.. Service here is exceptional!! All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Natalie the bar manager was ana amazing help who went out of her way to find something for me to protect a certificate if just received. Absolutely nothing I would have expected but so very refreshing. To top that off we came here on a Sunday and their Sunday roast baps we're spectacular!! I was the only one who didn't get one and definitely was regretting my decision. A great place and worth a visit.

Came up from Bristol to see the wurzels and had forgotten my cable for my power bank staff in the pub gave me theirs to use. Good cold thatchers and great chip butty and super friendly. Will definitely be back here when I find myself back in Swindon.

A group of 7 had our work Christmas lunch at the QT yesterday (23/11) and it was absolutely brilliant. We had pre ordered our food and it was all brought out hot and on time, with the wait staff calling for people by name (meaning I didn't have to faff about with bits of paper to identify people's orders!). All of the food was hot (where appropriate) and well presented. I had the prawn cocktail to start which was a very generous portion with the most delicious bread I've ever had! The seafood platter was next which again, was a generous portion with two fish goujons, some spicy breaded prawns (5/6 from memory) and scampi (along with chips, peas, tartare sauce and a lemon wedge). Everything was crispy and freshly cooked and tasted brilliant. We then took a break before dessert as we were all extremely full but then the Ultimate Brownie pud came out..! Warm chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and strawberries. Not sure how I managed to eat all of it but it was delicious. Drinks were all reasonably priced - I had a selection of flavoured gins (from memory: blood orange, violet, strawberry and lime and Gordons pink) all of which were served quickly and with garnish. The rest of my group had a mixture of gins, wines, beers and soft drinks. Overall we had a great 4 hours at the pub with attentive bar and wait staff and the landlady made sure we were all well looked after. We will definitely be back in the new year

Friendly staff, very courteous. Our daughter is lactose intolerant, Chef came out and discussed options for her and made a special dish. Had onion rings, southern fried chicken, and chicken wings for starters, all cooked to perfection and well presented, I had a medium cooked rump steak, again cooked perfectly, chef came out to check all was to our satisfaction, as did staff, by far the best pub meal I have had literally in years and good prices! Strongly recommended this place. Well done to the staff!!

Interesting. Staff seemed really nice however there was some trouble but it didn't put me off. It can happen anywhere. Decent smoking area and right opposite the train station. What more could you want when waiting for a transfer!

This being my first visit to Swindon, I was so impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much of s problem and you were made to feel you had been here for ages! Cannot recommend it enough!

Lovely place, proper pub! When trains run late it's there to enjoy. Even make time in my journey for last few years to call in for a pint because of how good it is. Well worth getting a train to Swindon just to visit, has pool table, sweet outside area & friendly staff/customers. Always 5 star from me.

Great makeover a few months ago. From experience fantastic live music acts on a Friday & Saturday night. Banging atmosphere, to have a boogie and hang out with your mates. Drink's price aligned with entertainment. Wonderful welcoming, engaging and upbeat staff. Ideally located both near the train station & taxi pick point. However, don't get to attend as much as I want to.

You would never guess from looking from the outside, but this pub comes complete with a large green beer garden with an apple tree, plus a TV showing the sports. A welcome beauty haven amidst the hustle and bustle of the surrounding roads.

Friendly staff, 50p pool table, prices not unreasonable considering town centre + beside train station (avoid Friday post 4pm unless you like super busy), haven't tried food. Guest ales often available (only a few) but also have thatchers scrumpy on the back bar.

I would have liked to (and normally would) have given this a higher star rating - Lovely staff and a decent enough selection of different drinks - But - Friday evening's in there seem to be occupied by people that need to be told to 'belt up' or just simply behave.. No one is telling anyone that party games (such as pick the Jägerbomb off the floor with your teeth - just by bending down to reach it) in a busy pub just ain't cool.. Perfectly nice otherwise- Just sort out the goofballs!
