A. W.Absolutely fantastic place!
We were staying in a local hotel and spur of the moment decided to come here for a bite to eat and I'm glad we did.
The service here was impeccable, friendly and full of smiles.
The menu has a great selection and the food itself was delicious!
It is dog friendly and has a great outdoor area for kiddos.
c. D.Recently opened and refurbished by the new owners. Looks amazing both inside and outside now, lots of parking. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and they had a DJ playing a steel drum. Nice atmosphere inside. Food tasted so good, we are hoping to come back again soon.
L. G.My husband and I have just had a lovely meal. The food couldn't have been any more perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. My husband had the scampi and I had the sausage ,mash and onion gravy. Even the puddings were to die for. Best place to eat out as far as I'm concerned. Give it a go you won't regret it.

P. G.The Hare & Hounds were brilliant today, serving 15 of us and a toddler with really good, hot pub food. Friendly and helpful they didn’t flinch when I asked them to put our afternoon meal back half an hour only half an hour before we should have arrived. We actually had a whole area of the pub to ourselves (yes it was a Tuesday afternoon but still great!)

L. L.I have only ever been here on Sundays for the Sunday roast wich is fantastic. Prices are reasonable. The staff can be quite preoccupied with them self rather than customers but over all I've always had a good experience

It was jam packed pub great atmosphere.
We had a lovely meal and despite the kitchen being super busy I can say it was well worth the wait for food. I highly recommend the Battered Haddock and Chips with mushy peas.
Also, super selection of gins.

z. c.My husband myself and our 5yr old called in the Hare and Hounds today for lunch and it was lovely, staff were very friendly and chatty and the food was glorious, We were booked in to another pub for next Sundays Father’s Day lunch but we have changed it to this one, can’t wait. Highly recommend trying here for food.

N.Me and my family wanted to go out for a last minute lunch and found that be difficult due to the amount of us but found Hare and Hounds and booked in no problem, the staff were lovely and friendly and we're very accommodating. All our meals were 10 out of 10 and they even made the extra touch to make sure my 3 year olds food came out first and gave her some colouring stuff, honestly couldn't recommend this place enough will definitely be back 😊
C. B.Nicely done out. Menu is Indian but well priced and looks good. Bar area very pleasant, lots of seating. Two TVs if you are in to sport. One draw back is the low ceilings which makes it very loud. Take your kids but leave Grandma behind.
J. M.Booked in for valentines day and sadly, the evening was a massive let down. The valentines menu looked great, and to be fair the main course was delicious. Our starters however (soup and pate), were very poor and very bland. Noticed a few comments going back to the kitchen about food not being as per the menu, only for a response of 'our head chef isn't in tonight and this is just the way we do it'. Atmosphere was average but the real issue was the service. Despite having to order at the bar, nearly every single plate that came out of the kitchen went to the wrong table. We hadn't even ordered food yet and were almost served someone else's starters, and then for the rest of the night were asked if every plate of food coming out was ours - and it wasn't very busy either! Hopefully we just caught them on a particularly bad night

P. W.Really friendly staff and a great looking pub. But the Sunday roast was just painfully average for the price. Veggies weren't cooked nor was anything added to the parsnips or carrots to make them stand out, practically raw. The beef was overdone for my liking but I guess that's preference. I ordered the pulled beef in yorkshire pudding as a side, it was just beef from the roast put in a yorkshire, not pulled at all. Such a shame as the owners are clearly doing a good job otherwise.
j. h.We’ve been here on a couple of occasions now and cannot fault anything at all, food is amazing and portion size is huge! And chips are awesome!. very reasonably priced. It’s that good that we’re booking again tomorrow night and bringing along friends so they can see what we keep going on about. Definitely my number 1 choice for food in Telford!.

S. C.Had a table booked last night for 7 of us. One person was running late. The waiting staff were fine about it, they kept making sure we were ok for drinks while we waited. Once we had ordered our food the food came out quickly. Half of us had the fish and chips, I highly recommend that meal, the fish was massive and the triple cooked chips were amazing. The burgers were huge aswell. We all commented on well presented the meals were and even the side salad were fancy, not just a bit of lettuce and tomato put on the side. We were all really pleased with the service and the food. We will definitely be going again soon.

A. O.Booked a table for my birthday after hearing rave reviews. Looking forward to a turkey dinner after the festive menu was advertised online, only to arrive to be told I had to book in advance. This was not specified online or anywhere when booking so was told I could not order it. So disappointed that your website does not make this clear as it felt like my birthday meal was ruined as you could not accommodate for this.
Spoke to management and they was very apologetic and understanding of my frustration. To compensate she gave me a bottle of champagne and said I could have a free meal next time. It’s nice to see management responds to disappointed customers in a quick and lovely manner.

The food we ordered was average.
However as the menu was inspired by Indian food, we decided to return, and sample the curry options, as this seemed to be the speciality.
We weren't disappointed! The curries we ordered were excellent, authentic and very reasonably priced. We will be going back to sample other curries on the menu.

Only slight knock as to why not 5 stars is their alcohol selection could do with more variety especial on the spirits side. Ideal place to go and watch football. O.Only 3 stars purely for the reason that I have not yet tried the food yet, went for a quick pint after work with a mate, I could smell the food already by the time I got out of my car and made my mouth water..were quickly served by the friendly barmaid with my order and the Guinness was spot on! Less than £7.00 for two pints and you can pay by card/contactless which is handy if you can't be bothered with cash..ample parking at the rear of the pub and there is a jungle Jim for the rug rats including outside seating to keep an eye on them. Overall a very nice experience.

J. H.The food was nice, though taste different to what you would expect each dish to taste like based on other grills. One of our sauces came with green fabric attached to the spoon, and the cutlery looked very clean though the napkins they were wrapped in were damp. There was a fibre in one of the curries too which I'm not sure if it was a coarse animal hair or maybe off of some ginger, though I don't think the dish is supposed to have or much of that in, but as mentioned they are slightly different to what you would usually receive.

H.We had a surprise birthday party for my husbands 50th for 24 of us and could not fault a thing, i'm a very fussy eater and was delighted with my meal and not one complaint from any of the other 23, nothing was too much trouble for the landlord or his staff, and a special mention to our waiter excellent!!!, we were that impressed 6 of us went back the next day for their carvery and again it was faultless. Well done to all of you a first class dining experience, and guess where we will be eating from now on. many thanks

l. o.Needs some work doing on customer service and organisation. Food came out but we had to remind them we needed cutlery and other stuff missing from order .. menu caters for vegetarians but doesn't explain what is in each dish like the non veggie dishes do plus they don't do a veggie korma which is a popular dish.( I'm not vegetarian btw) table arrangements need re organising especially for big parties, we spent all evening switching and climbing to get out our seats. Food ok but meat didn't taste freshly cooked, was like it had been frozen and defrosted or boiled in some way giving an unusual texture... the seasoned chips were fantastic, portion size very generous for money but I like quality not quantity...for pub grub, lads night out with sports on tv and a beer, ok, for restaurant style dining, this is not ideal ...

B.We are visiting Telford and went wandering for something to eat stopped at The Hare and Hounds and looked at the menu ordered our food I expected standard pub food however the food we got was definitely better home cooked chips which were delicious and all our meals were excellent quality and staff were lovely.
