The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was very efficient and the cutlery and condiments were clean and full. I was going to have a carvery but decided to go for a Steak and Ale pie with roasted carrots, chips and gravy. I had the option of peas, mushy peas or baked beans. All of which I declined. At last, a proper pie with a full pastry base and not in a ceramic pot 👌. And the contents proper filled the pie. The carrots, roasted and a little bit crisp 👌. The chips were nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy inside 👌. Followed up with a Chocolate Indulgence Sundae👌. I feel complete. 👌🙂

Food and service was beyond amazing 👏 super friendly floor staff and the gentleman/chef who was serving behind the hot counter was incredible, all the right procedures was carried out when I notified them about an allergy !! Great quality food to match quality staff, if anyone deserves a pay rise or bonus it's these lot !

Best carvery we have had In telford. The staff are so friendly and every one is very helpful. The food was such a big suprise as there were roasted parsnips which is one of me and my kartners favourite vegetables not many places roast vedge so this was a nice touch. Was offered pigs in blankets too which they were lovley. The Yorkshire puddings now thats were we get good too as there home made and not frozen and tasted great. The potatos were cooked in some of the meat fat? I think they were as they tasted amazing. The beef was tender no fat at all.The staff even wrapped our cakes to go which was nice with a little bag.Thank you for such a lovley meal. Me and my partner will definitely be back for more carvery from you in the future. I couldn't fault today.

Been here many times with my partner, an every time we come here we always have lovely time, good food , wide choice, caters for all, there's a lovely carvery, I just had the fish and chips, it was a large portion and it was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. My partner and I are here till Friday, so we shall be back again. I'd definitely recommend it. Thank you so much to everyone.

I have been here twice now albeit 4 yrs apart ! I enjoyed my carvery very much apart from one thing. The beef was quite chewy tasty but chewy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the chef put a slice of fat on my plate, I thought it was a little bit covering the beef but it was all fat. However having said that everything else was delicious and yes I will not leave it 4 years next time.

My wife and I were staying in the area for a few nights and decided to try the carvery. We were not disappointed. Delicious food at a reasonable price and welcoming, friendly staff. We would definitely visit again.

I booked a table for 8 for a surprise birthday meal for my mother. At lunchtime I took in the balloon table display and asked if I could either pay for a birthday dessert or if I could leave a cake which I had purchased. The young lady to whom I spoke with was wonderful and took the balloons and cake and put them safely away. When I my 2 daughters, mum and dad arrived at 6 pm, my 2 sons and husband were sat at the table hiding in an alcove. My mum was in complete shock and the young lady I spoke of earlier had even gone to the trouble of laying the table with a large pink table cover which had a gold smaller cover on top. She really did make it lovely.

Staff are friendly but we had carvery and other menu choices and we asked for a prompt a few minutes before the other menu items were served in order that the carvery meals could be obtained and we could all eat together. This didn't happen so we ended up with a disjointed meal! Other feedback is for prices of soft drinks...£4.15 for a pint of lime and soda.....£2.95 for half of pepsi, they're a bit steep!

The staff are really friendly and helpful. We were supposed to be going to another pub other than The Seven Gorge. But unfortunately the pub's ovens were broke and were unable to give us a meal. We tried looking for another pub to go but the ones we tried either didn't answer our call or were full. So we thought why not try The Seven Gorge. So we drove to The Seven Gorge and asked if they had the space. They did and really made us happy and welcome. Obviously they didn't have certain foods as they ran out but that was ok. We still had a meal. So yeah, they're a fantastic pub.

On the plus side, the staff were very conscious of special dietary requirements, and even prepared special, contaminant-free cutlery for people in our group with allergies. Prebooked as we were a large group on a Saturday evening. Service was very slow and there was only one person behind the bar. The food was good, but despite having pre-ordered several weeks in advance some of the desserts had to be substituted as they had run out. I'm not sure about the rest of the week, but the kitchen closes at 8pm on Saturdays.

Meat, yorkshire and stuffing were lovely, as were the veg, except for the roast potatoes. They were dry and chewy. My grandson ordered a child's ice cream sundae. The pub was not busy (3 tables occupied), staff were standing around and after 10 minutes, I had to go and ask how long it took to prepare ! Again I waited, then finally, a staff member walked out with 2 scoops of ice cream in a bowl, with 2 wafers !!! Should have taken all of 2 minutes to prepare.

We have always loved the food at the gorge , however we were so disappointed today , I never usually have the beef but thought I'd try it today , omg chewy wasnt the word , it was hard to cut and even harder to try and eat , my partner and I both left in on our plates , inedible , also the gravy ran out , my partner waited by the pots for 10 mins before a fresh gravy was bought out , such a shame as we have always enjoyed our meals there.

I must admit their new menu is really really lovely, I had the world end burger and it was so tasty, I will say the best I've had in years, there are no extra sauces, but you are offered sauces if you wish to add any, I did have dessert, the lemon, blueberry, raspberry sponge, it was moist and full of flavour, and not too heavy for after a meal, the seven gorge still does a carvery. They do a wide range of desserts.

Visited the Severn Gorge yesterday, welcomed by very friendly staff. I ordered a rump steak and the usual trimmings. When it came it was very tough, couldn't even stab it with my fork. Steak is always a bit of a lottery, for the Chef it can look a lovely piece, once you get heat near it turns into vulcanised rubber. The staff didn't hesitate to change my lunch to something else. They were very apologetic but it wasn't their fault. What lovely girls running the pub. Definitely go back next shopping trip. Well done.

I'd say this place is almost excellent. If I could, I'd give it 4.5 stars. I especially recommend their carvery on a Sunday. There are some gluten free options including a lot of the carvery. Something for almost everyone. I wish however they had decaf tea or coffee as an option and a few more gluten free options on mains. Most of the staff are very attentive and give very good standards of service. Very budget-friendly. Vegetarian and vegan options available.

The Seven Gorge is an amazing place to go for a meal, for the following reasons. Amazing, friendly staff, delicious food. (Meals, Carverys and tasty desserts!) Always kept clean! If you haven't been yet I suggest you go and visit! It's probably my favourite local restaurant/pub. The staff always welcome you with a smile and make sure you leave happy. Today has been our first day back after 3 years, due to the pandemic. It's good to be back! 😁

A great place for a meal, friendly helpful staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Carvery was one of the best I've ever had, the young lady that served us was very helpful and friendly. I went to the Severn Gorge for a Christmas meal with staff from work. Staff were very attentive and friendly and there was a great atmosphere. I had the festive menu. My starter was baked camembert which was disappointing, just 2 baked camemberts with a huge amount of un-dressed salad leaves and a few slices of cucumber and the caramelised red onion chutney was missing making it bland and dry. The carvery was good, I had the turkey, but please serve on hot plates! It had a good selection of vegetables - the cauliflower in white sauce was delicious - but the sprouts were clearly frozen and there were no pigs in blankets. For dessert I had the raspberry and white chocolate meringue which was far too sweet for my taste and the raspberry was a sauce drizzled over it, just like the red sauce you get with a Mr Whippy ice cream, very disapppointing. I would have given 4 stars if items described on the menu had not been missing. For the price of £14.49 it was reasonable but please don't put things on the menu you don't serve, or at least apologise if they're not available.

A little pricey at £11.50 for the large plate, £9.50 for the regular on a Sunday. I think it's cheaper on the weekdays. But the food was above average and a good selection of veg. I had to que for about 20+ minutes to get served at the food station but we did go at 6pm, so kind of expected a bit of a que. But, having two little ones, myself and partner had to que separately while they ate. I would advise booking a table (lol not 27) as it was nearly full to compastity. My only real complaint was how hot it was in there. We had a table(27) next to the radiator which was on full blast, not a bad thing if its cold out but the outside temperature was 16•c. It made eating a huge plate of food slightly uncomfortable. Great staff. Clean pub. Would visit again but may choose a different day or time of day.

1st time we've visited. Excellent flavoured food and a different veg selection the the usual boring boiled veg ie: maple syrup glazed carrots, cauliflower cheese that tastes home made, stuffing that tastes like home made stuffing, braised red cabbage, peas with a bit of butter, dauphinoise potatoes apart from usual mash and roasties....... were freshest and crispiest tasted in a long time. We will definitely go back when we visit our family again (they just recently moved to Telford)

My partners steak came out wrong and they were very apologetic about the whole thing, in all honesty we really weren't bothered at all but they gave us a free round of drinks and desserts, I tried to insist to pay for it but they were adamant. Went there on Saturday 12th May 2018. I had seen the carvery advertised outside. Prices were very reasonable. I had the large plate. The meat, indeed the meal, was super. The cask ales was very good too. Only thing I would add is I don't think three mini sausages wrapped in a small of bacon was worth the extra £1 - maybe 50p. I had never been in Telford until that weekend. If I do find myself back there again, I would seek comfort and good food there. Must not forget to mention the helpful staff there too.

First time here today. We had the family banquet which was 2 regular carvery and 2 small carvery and 2 large desserts. Firstly, the place was nice and clean. Second, the bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Third, the carvery was really good. Lovely meat (Not dry) and plenty of it. The veggies were fresh and really nice. We didn't have room for dessert so they said we could take it home with us. The chocolate ecclair cake was just Devine. All this for £20. We will definitely be returning.

Went here for a Sunday carvery. It was busy and the queue was ridiculously long. The food was good but the service was poor. Perhaps we should have chosen a quieter day to visit. Paid extra for pigs in blankets, but they didn't put them on my plate until my son mentioned it. Asked for 1 large plate, but they were all the same. No sauces were offered, we had to ask, and then only given tomato. My Granddaughter knocked over her drink and I used our serviettes to mop some of it up. When I explained what had happened I was thrown more serviettes and had to mop the rest up myself. Also a long wait for the children's desserts.

Food is good for the price and the staff are friendly and good at their jobs, 2 things do irritate me though, 1) if there is a queue at the bar you have to wait to get a refill on your unlimited drink, meanwhile your food is going cold. 2) two chefs do crispy chicken skin and I love crispy chicken, i know it sounds lame but it really makes me happy when I get skin with my meal, if all chefs did crispy chicken skin 10/10, the oven does the work so it's no skin (no pun intended) off their nose. If these 2 issues could be improved then I would happily rate the Severn gorge 5*.

Called in for the carvery. I chose turkey and beef. A yorkshire pudding and stuffing were put on the plate. Choice of veg :· New potatoes, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, garden peas, cauliflower cheese, sprouts and carrots. New potatoes were quite large, I took a small one but unfortunately it was hard, needed a bit more cooking, sprouts were a bit firm/crunchy too. Apart from that a decent meal, the meat was moist and tender. To be fair there was only one person serving and he seemed rushed off his feet, serving and topping up the veg dishes as well.

Just had carvery here ,normally very good ,but portions of meat very small ,and charging a £1 for 2 tiny pig's in blankets is a rip off ,the member of staff serving the meat (aaron) Was pleasant and professional,sad to say the gentleman replenishing the vegetables needs to go on a customer service course ,he was quite arrogant,I watched him take a plate from Aaron stating to much meat he promptly took meat off the customer plate which left 2 tiny slither of turkey certainly not worth 7.99 , he also came in half way through a conversation and stated the meat is plated up by weight ,he was quite verbally aggresive,shame really as what I had was cooked really well
