Reviews of The Roseland Inn

Absolutely incredible food. Had the Game Stew, quite literally the best stew I have ever eaten. Rest of my group had Sunday roasts, had a taste of them all and they were brilliant (the gravy is standout). Only issue I had was the waitor kept forgetting to bring us cutlery, we had to ask him twice because he forgot the first time. Even the table next to us were waiting for cutlery.

Smashing little pub in the middle of nowhere really.
Booked a table for 6.30pm and also glad I did as its a busy place for evening meals.
Cannot fault the friendliness and helpful attitude of the staff.
A good range of gluten free options for those that need them as well as reasonably extensive menu including the daily specials board. The food was really good - sorry no photos of any of it (too intent on savouring the ginger infused lamb chump served with sautè potatoes - full of flavour and cooked very well.
Dogs are allowed - they've even got their own dog dinner menu!
Plenty of seating outside too in a nice courtyard.
One word of caution - go easy driving down the lanes to get there & back ... slow & steady & all's well.

Lovely old pub, dog friendly, and very popular.
We chanced lunch without a booking and the lady, on her own and doing everything front of house, was very accommodating and patient.
We had scallops, scampi and chips and lemon sole with a wonderful sauce, delicious.
Definitely revisiting next time in the area, and booking!

Amazing food from start to finish with great service. I can see why they advise you to book, so glad we did!

Great food! Came here hungry and it delivered exactly what was needed! Sat outside as the pub was fully booked due to how nice it is!

Absolutely excellent! It's rare to have a three course meal in which every dish delights but we couldn't have been more pleased with our dinner here.
Service was great too.
Now finding excuses to travel the 265 miles from home to visit again.

Went for lunch on a week day, recommend you book a table. We thought it wouldn't be as busy as the weekend, because it serves good food it is very popular. Staff are very good, food is excellent and the Inn is fantastic. Full of history, traditional country Inn.

Best fish & chips we've had in Cornwall. Full of character. Staff very warm and friendly. This is not just a pub! Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely amazing staff, fit us in at extremely short notice, and close to serving finishing, food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced! Thank you for a wonderful experience when we really needed it.

Rupert catered for my sons wedding at the Helford in August and was first class from start to finish. The main dish was a middle eastern lamb cooked outside with the most unctuous butternut squash and salads and was absolutely delicious, plus plenty of it! Rupert was so helpful and just a great guy to have on the day along with his team and I would highly recommend him. Thanks Rupert for making our day so special, it was simply perfect and your contrubution was key. There are some photos so once I get my hands on them I'll post them.
