Fabulous location next to Thames at Walton. Plenty of seating inside and out. Usual pub grub on menu. Spotted something different: crab and prawn tagliatelle arrabiatta which I chose. It was an interesting dish, unfortunately there was very little crab, still it was a worthy effort at something out of the run of the mill. The guy who had the soup was very happy. The guy who had cumberland sausage complained that they contained too much bread. I can't verify. Very pleasant garden area, helpful staff. Recommended for lunch with or without children.

I’m loving the new ambiance, it feels like the place is at last living up to its provenance, I don’t know who to thank but finally there is a local for locals with fun and kindness . Possibly one of the BEST pubs in Surrey. Lovely staff, great service, busy with a nice atmosphere but no queues at the bar. Speedy Table service. Great drinks and fair prices. Good Car park. Lovely garden with multiple terraces overlooking the river Thames, great table for a late August sunset with dinner and a pint. Gluten free beers available. Staff knowledgeable about the food menu. Manager lady was really a experienced professional checking with the kitchen for my wife's food allergy and a great attitude. I loved this pub when I was a 18 year old and still loving it returning after 15+ years abroad! 100% recommend this pub!! The ham hock was epic. Fish and Chips was epic. Cider was epic

Really nice gastro pub by the riverside. The food us good the service is spot on and the pub itself is modern classic. So what more of an excuse do you need to pop down for a family Sunday lunch. Oh and it's right next to the river - with a garden that overlooks the swans, ducks and geese floating by. Just remember to book ahead if you go at a busy time of day/week.

We had a wonderful meal with my children and in-laws at the Swan recently. I had a perfectly cooked lamb dish, father in law had fish and chips and two other adults had a plaice special. Smoked sardine starters were delicious. The entire meal was tasty and our server, Daisy, was attentive and prompt. Highly recommend!

Great food, friendly staff. Outdoor space is fantastic, by the river. Good choice of drinks. There is some parking in the pub and around the area. Weekends can busy so might be worth booking in advance. Would definitely recommend it.

Food was excellent quality. We enjoyed the flavours thoroughly. The portion size of the starters (burrata, fregola&pomegrante salad and a crispy squid with pesto mayo) was a little small, but the main (muscles) was a good size and very tasty. Service was good - definitely with a smile - but we felt we had to ask for a lot of things (to order, for the bill twice, spoons, water for the table), rather than service being instinctive. We would definitely recommend this place.

My son and I went to the Swan for Christmas and so please we did. The staff Ryan and Daisy were wonderful, kind and friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious, presented well and tasted outstanding. Highly recommend visiting.

Our party of 4 had a booking at 15/12/2024 and were taken in on time, Daisy who looked after us the full time was fantastic, very pleasant, knowing the menu well and good suggestions too, she was very good and made our stay very welcoming and lovly. Lovely pub! Food is absolutely amazing, well prepared, fresh and tasty. Best fish & chips I ever had!! Drinks are great. The pub has also got an outdoor garden overlooking the river Thames, with appealing decor and vibe. Comfortable outdoor furniture where you can relax. You can also order from the app, instead of going inside. Definitely recommend!

Hey Neil. It would have made 5 stars if there wasn't a load of cloves left in my apple crumble. They were incredibly overpowering, and I struggled to finish it. There were a lot of them. Quite unpleasant. The roast was delicious, and the service was fab. I would perhaps move your tables away from the bar, as this was quite invasive while eating. Otherwise, for an unplanned meal, we had a great experience. Thank you.

We've been going to The Swan in Walton quite a few times over the years but yesterday's experience was below par. Having said that, the service we received from Olena was great. Also have to mention Ryan, who took on our feedback sincerely and amicably. We'd still go back here again, based on our previous food experiences.

I've been to The Swan a handful of times, always during the summer , where we like to sit outside in their large garden. Good food, seamless ordering via their app, lovely staff. If you like burgers they also have a separate menu for their burger shack, which I would highly recommend. Just to note, they don't have a desert menu until the end of May 2021... Which might upset some people looking for a three-course roast. There is usually an ice-cream truck outside and they don't mind you eating that in the garden... Possibly a decent alternative!

A lovely riverside pub and very dog friendly. Sunday lunch was delicious but so big, the dogs had enough in the doggy bag to last them a few days afterwards. Fantastic service and can’t wait to go back in the summer.

Nice pub on the river Thames ... Lots of space inside and outside. Very rich Menu,vegan and vegetarian options available too . Lovely staff and quick service.

Every time I've been here it's been fantastic. The food is incredible and in the summer, the outdoor seating area is one of the best I've come across!

I've always given this pub 4 or 5 stars, but, due to a young female member of staff behind the bar on 27/12/2024 afternoon shift I've reduced it. She was sullen, short measured my light and bitter, which has changed from the usual generous measure anyhow. Sorry our group of 20+ won't rush back due to this.

Large table booking of 13 catered well for everyone food was lovely, service was quick, staff very friendly. Lovely place with great staff however the menu has really gone down hill. There really isn’t anything that takes your fancy. Cocktails are lovely but pricey and the pudding options are a bit disappointing. Staff however are great!

The pub concept is simply amazing - an old building transformed in a bar & restaurant. Partially table service is something which took one star less of my review, however I must exalt their service and staff. The food, for the area is really good and tap beers options are broad and the must have ones are there. Wines menu could have a bit improvement however it’s equally satisfactory for the area. They also offer gluten opinions but the menu presentation could be much better. Another point that I should count as a very good one, is the cleanness of the bathroom. Very good ✌️

Beef in Sunday Roast very poor. Asked for it to be pink...was not. Beef slices very (too) thin, riddled with fat, and extremely difficult to cut. Servers Catherine and Emma were excellent.

We had a lovely evening in the Swan Room for our friends hen-do. The staff were responsive for the advance planning and the waitress we had serving us on the night was lovely. The food was yummy, it could not have gone any better :⁠-⁠)

Lovely pub with great food and fast and friendly service. Inside, the dining tables are well presented with plenty of room. The outside garden, overlooking the river, is also great with heated tables and little cabins for the winter. Highly recommended.

Booked a table for 12 people for the 5th March for my 50th birthday, I then had to amend my booking twice to add an extra couple of people, every time I contacted them regarding my booking the response was always quick and friendly, a woman called Anna was the person who I communicated with. They also put aside roast dinners for us, as the meal was booked for 6.30pm but their roasts are usually all gone by 6pm. The girl who served us was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and tasty. My friend said the sticky toffee pudding was the best she had EVER had. Would definitely recommend this pub with its Riverside setting, lovely food and friendly staff, thank you

Nice outside area near the river. Food was nice. I ordered a steak which had a lovely rub on it and tasted delicious. I did however send it back (I never do this!) for further cooking initially as it was served simply seared on the outside and blue in the middle when I had asked for medium rare. The staff were helpful in getting this rectified.

Perfect for a sunny afternoon! Huge beer garden right beside the Thames with lots of seating, even on the busiest of afternoons. Have popped into this place a couple of times now for a drink and both times have had a pleasant experience. The wait at the bar can be a bit long, but the staff are very friendly and helpful when they get to you. Looks like the food would be really nice, but I haven't tried it myself. From what I've had there the prices also seem reasonable - but coming from London everything does! All in all a nice establishment in a lovely setting.

I think you can tell a lot about somewhere from a pint of beer and some chips. Beer range is decent enough and the chips were superb, crispy and fluffy and every single one was seasoned to perfection. Fish and chips are excellent and great value.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, not too busy for a Friday night. We got there about 8ish and there were plenty of tables to sit at. There's a restaurant there too if you fancy some proper food instead of just crisps and peanuts! There's a large garden for the warmer nights, small car park at the side but there's plenty of parking in the streets. Lovely location near the River Thames so work up an appetite by going for a riverside walk and stop off and have some food after. Not had the food so I can't comment on what that's like. Lovely pub.

Really good staff. Good quality food and some good veggie and vegan options even with social distancing and limited menus. I had the tempura broccoli and a stilton sauce as a snack. The batter was faultless and the veg cooked just right. The sauce had a good stilton flavour and was a good thickness to dip. Yummy.
