Reviews of Ring O'Bells

Recommend. Great place for drinks and food. Quite spacious with indoor and outdoor seating available. Also, suitable place if you are dining in groups (10-15 people)
Pet friendly place.

Had such a lovely time at the Ring O’ Bells, the food and drinks are amazing. Special shout-out to our server Emily who was on hand to make our first visit memorable!! We will definitely be back for more!!
C. W.
Lovely food and great service.
bit on the pricey side and the mash was instant not fresh which was the only let down. otherwise I love this place. the look and the atmosphere it top quality.
P. W.

It is an absolute joy to eat here. The food and service was amazing. We will definitely be going back

We had an enjoyable meal with friends. Four of us enjoyed three courses which were good quality & delicious.
The staff were friendly, good humoured, and attentive despite being busy. Service was prompt.
We sat inside the conservatory area, there is also outside dining in tiered gardens.
This was not our first visit here and we will be back again.

Easy booking on line for a table to seat 10 people. We were looked after by Corinne at the Ring O Bells Daresbury. Corinne was exceptional and went out of her way to help us and make our visit memorable. Nothing was too much trouble and she looked after the younger one in our group who has certain food needs. The food was excellent and extremely well prepared and presented. Someone was always available to take our drink orders as the afternoon progressed. All in all, a very pleasant experience, great menu/food, beautiful surroundings with outside area seating and excellent service. Thank you Corinne and all who catered for our needs.

Awww it was lovely in here.... The staff were amazing, really helpful my sister had a beautiful meal for her graduation... Well worth a visit

Have nothing bad to say fantastic food, staff, ambience, quaint and full of history. If its your first time look out for the old ladder to know where!!!! Ask the staff why its there? See how many Alice in wonderland quotes you spot. Admire the teacup chandelier. Visit the loo in the conservatory just because they are cute. Warm your hands on the real fires in winter and be prepared to be jealous of the garden, perfectly landscaped and plenty off seating. My dad loves the ales and beers, he says they know how to pull a proper pint. Lovely lunch menu for a work celebration payday treat or just because its so nice. Great evening menu for couples families or parties. Save room for dessert 🍨 my favourite at the moment warm bakewell tart yummy 😋 note to management bring back the crumbles.
Forgot photos food looked too good it was gone in a flash, will add some next time. X

Lovely atmosphere and even got a top up of my pint to get a nice photo of the dogs for St Patrick's Day 💚☘️

We had lunch here after visiting the church opposite. We placed our food order for 7 people!, the first 3 meals came out and the waitress inform us that one of the meals was unavailable. Another meal was ordered and was delivered to the table about 10 minutes later. Before we could complain about the mix up the manager gave us a free round of drinks. All the food we had was excellent and the customer service was great.
I. W.
Lovely pub, great beer garden and friendly staff. Food is ok, long waiting time during busy periods though.
F. G.
Had a really great lunch at this lovely pub. Food was well presented and very tasty indeed. We all had different roasts and there wasn't one complaint! Well worth a visit!
M. M.
Nice meal and friendly efficient staff.
We enjoyed it and would go again.
The garden has been extended since we last went. Lovely in the sun with naturally shaded areas.
I believe it is dog friendly.
T. C.
Nice wait staff and very large menu. Has some Alice in wonderland stuff to gaze upon as well.
A. L.
Just had a great dinner here - tasty food, excellent draft beers and lovely waitress called Beth. Will definitely come back & dine again @Ring O’Bells!
i. K. S.
AMAZING service and great food tonight. Our server was Liv tonight and she was truly amazing and regularly checked to see if everything was ok. Thank you so much Liv and we will definitely be recommending the Ring O' Bells because of you.
N. T.
Lovely afternoon lunch with my mum and daughters. Service was fantastic especially the lovely lady with glasses and blonde hair in a pony tail - she served us on a previous visit and she is genuinely a real asset to the business! Must find out her name next time! Thank you 😊
D. Y.
Wonderful ambience. The tomato and roast pepper tart is the best I have ever tasted and the pomegranate seeds on the salad raised it to a higher level. The strawberry and peach bellini was devine, as was the latte. The mini tart with a tea or coffee was inspirational and was just enough to end my wonderful meal. Staff were very professional and attended to our every need. We will visit again and again and again. Thank you.
P. C.
Place feels very nice and welcoming. Food I ordered for lunch however didn't match the overall feel of the place. Vegetarian pie had very hard crust and the some of the roasted tatties felt undercooked.
R. S.
Staff were lovely but the food in general was poor with dry burgers and buns and burnt chips😭. The chicken caesar salad was good. In their defence they were run off their feet and boy did it show. Disappointing!!
P. j.
TLDR: Food was ok, service was a bit slow.
The smothered chicken was a bit burnt, the cheese and bacon burger was good on the otherhand. Some drinks when ordered failed to work on their system so had to reordered. So left a bit thirsty until we queried where our drinks where after about 15/20 minutes of waiting. Staff where polite and friendly.
C. c.
Service and staff were lovely, although when food came out we had to ask for cutlery which were wrapped in wet serviette.
Dog friendly which is a must for us but if you dont have a dog i cant say you would notice
We sat right by the steps leading upto another lvl which was a little like Euston station but the table was our choice having just turned up without booking...just a consideration.
The food was nicely presented, hot and tasty....chicken and hock pie and fish and chips.
Looking around at other food coming out the portions were generous especially the roast dinners that were large with a great Yorkshire pud on top.
We would have sat outside but it was a little chilly. We did however take our drinks outside after our meal and it was a lovely space with some tables that could cater for at least 12 people.
Overall a ready enjoyable experience and only marked down for the few little things that were only down to our personal dislikes
P. S.
We really enjoyed a fabulous meal in beautiful surroundings. The Service was excellent. We will be coming again
A. S.
Lovely building, really friendly staff and amazing food.
A. B.
Food great waitress great my only problem is there car park very big but only has one disabled parking (that I could see) which is not good enough for a popular pub/ restaurant
We did enjoy our time there and will be back
M. R.
Excellent considerate and individual service by staff, appreciated by me and my friends. Good menu and lovely garden cum terrace seating. Most enjoyable.
J. E.
We had a lovely tea at the Ring o Bells on Thursday 26th May, made even more amazing by the superb service from Corinne. The place was really busy but she was so friendly and attentive, we will be back in a few weeks! Thanks Corinne xxxx
J. A.
Lovely pub with lovely gardens but a few things( menu wise) that they didn't have and our steaks were a bit tough. Staff absolutely fabulous tho.
N. D.
A lovely place to dine. We have possibly sat at every table now is just a testament to how much me and my wife love Ring O bells. My whole family in fact love it too. Certainly one of my favourite places to go on a regular basis.
Love the menu, staff and atmosphere. Always a pleasure to eat here, and they brought back the caramel banana waffle, looks and tasted amazing so 5+ stars <3
L. S. M.
Friendly staff, good access for anyone with mobility issues and cater for all. The food is top quality and the staff go over and above to make you feel welcome!
A. M.
I went to the ring O'Bells after my dad's funeral with family and friends, the service was excellent and the staff were great. Top food and very relaxed highly recommend.
D. H.
Staff fantastic service was great even though they were so busy they told us straight away There was a 30 minute wait food was OK the roast potatoes where hard with been kept warm but everything else was great .
T. o. p. o. c.
Stunning location however food left a lot to be desired although it was busy. Staff were brilliant though
C. K. (.
Had a lovely meal there this evening, food was fabulous and the staff were amazing as always. Thank you!
X. C.
We had a great time there again today 29/01/22. Food was delicious as always. The waitress was so good to us, despite some of our table arriving late! Will we go again? Oh yes, please, and if you want a fab meal with fab service, you wont go wrong here ❤❤
M. B.
Really friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly and the person looking after us was super taken by our pooch.
P. J.
Went for Sunday Lunch and paid a bit more to have the rib of beef and it was fantastic. So hard to find a good Sunday lunch these days. Credit to the chef and his team. The service was also great from each member of staff we made contact with, which tells me they have a good manager as well.
S. R.
Enjoyed evening meal with 2 friends a couple of weeks ago. Food was excellent, service prompt, courteous (Chloe was our waitress). Will definitely be back. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening
D. R.
Set in a a converted 19th century Court, the ambiance is great with querky antique fixtures. Our waiter Tom, explained all the social distance rules in place to protect our safety very clearly and made us feel very welcome. The whole place was spottlesly clean with clear signs on the tablets, indicating they had been sanitized. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains to eat in, accompanied with a bottle of wine and a pudding to take away all for under £50. All of which where delicious. In short a quaint lovely place with welcoming and friendly staff to make you feel comfortable and safe.
N. H.
The food was delicious service explicable and lots of different drinks to choose from. Had a great evening for my mums birthday.
G. A.
Great meal as ever, treated like royalty by Jane, she really is as assett to this pub
J. F.
A historic building with a lovely interior. We enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. Staff were efficient and friendly.
A. D.
Enjoyed a really nice Sunday roast. Great food. Good beer and fantastic service. I can't wait for my next visit.
G. V.
Our family really enjoys our meals at what is soon to become our new local dining spot. Jane was very attentive, even when a large group arrived.

I'd read a lot of excellent reviews and was really looking forward to eating here. I was disappointed. I'm comparing my experience to similarly priced restaurants where I've thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Firstly, I have to say that the restaurant, atmosphere and staff were all excellent. The menu was interesting and I was spoilt for choice. However, when the food arrived, I was very disappointed. I'd ordered sea bass with scallops, prawns and risotto. There were two tiny scallops that were over cooked to the point that they were burnt. There were three tiny prawns in the risotto and the seabass fillets were tiny. It tasted ok. Not amazing, just ok. My son's gourmet burger was burnt and the lemon and coriander halloumi didn't appear to have any lemon or coriander anywhere near it. The chips were frozen, not home made. For the price, I expected better quality, as I have had in other restaurants. I didn't say anything to the staff. As I said earlier, they were lovely and the overall experience was good. Unfortunately, the food was at the standard I would expect in a cheap pub - edible but nothing special.
T. !.
Drinks was a bit pricey, and by the time we bought a few rounds we couldn’t even place a food order, so that kind of sucked.
They don’t really care for your services. But it is a nice place to drink in the sun!:)
L. M.
Gorgeous atmospheric pub. Had a fab meal there last night. Our server was the delightful Chloe, who looked after us expertly. Definitely recommend you try the mussels for a starter..... Delicious 😋
F. M.
Great place to eat. Sat outside on a lovely sunny day surrounded by lush greenery and birdsong. The food was delicious as always.
P. M.
Starters were very good but that is were it ended, the mains to start with were so hot you could not eat the meal, my wife had lasagne which was dry due to how hot the meal had been and I had the beef pie and again was too hot to eat and by the time I could eat it the veg was cold which I left. It is a shame as the staff and venue are very good, if I went again I think I would have multiple starters.
A. H.
Nice food, gorgeous location. Friendly place and staff. Worth the extra miles from M6 J11 only 10 mins drive.
S. S.
The staff here was lovely, the vegan pie was great too! We came when it was quite busy and there was quite a wait time but the staff made up for it with their kindness :)
G. E.
Thoroughly enjoyed a working lunch with wonderful colleagues this week. Thank you team Ring O’Bells. Great service and food in a lovely setting.
See you soon 👍
S. C.
Visited this fab pub restaurant with two friends food was brilliant as always - team were amazing especially Corinne very attentive friendly a credit to the company we will be back very soon loved it
R. R.
Food was great along with the service. Jane was our server and we all were very happy the whole experience. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great food.
Great atmosphere.
Warm and friendly local pub.
We love it.
J. H.
Absolutely 1st class, food was gorgeous, service exceptional. I highly recommend the ham hock pie.
C. N.
Really nice place, clean tidy and well laid out.
Pleasant staff and reasonable prices. Would recommend.
A. L.
Last minute impromptu gathering the night before my daughter's wedding. Staff amazing. Extremely accommodating. Made us prosecco cocktails. Had vegan and gluten free in our party and they were very patient and friendly. Couldn't have asked for any more. Excellent!
G. S.
Stop by for an evening meal with friends. The food was lovely, the staff are nice and friendly. I would recommend eating here
D. J.
Delicious food and fast friendly service. Lovely old building with lots of character inside and nice beer garden.
K. W.
Excellent service, thank you Jane. Good food and good value for money All staff come into contact with are also friendly
J. S.
Great food
We had great company
Food and drinks were also great
Staff were very pleasant
M. C.
Very nice pub. Only popped in for nibbles and a quick pint but was enough to see this is a friendly well run pub with an extensive food offering. Probably best to book ahead if you want to eat off the main menus though.
P. N.
We used the Ring O Bells to host a funeral wake. The staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly and efficient and were able to put on additional covers at very short notice when we realised we had underestimated numbers. The buffet food was perfect. A big thank you to all the staff for making the event such a success
A. C.
Lovely pub very good food and drinks but as with pubs now getting to expensive to go
M. L.
The last time I had fish and chips here it was very poor and I gave a bad review. However today I decided to try them again. A vast improvement. The fish was really crispy, chips were just right and there were plenty of mushy peas. My companions had the roasts and they looked and tasted lovely. Impressed by the staff who were very smartly dressed and attentive.
G. T.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Good service
J. G.
Lovely place to visit, food ok but why serve false crackling with the pork it's awful, the gravy seemed to have been made with gravy granules, not with goodness from the meat. Nice Yorkshire pudding though.
P. T.
Great atmosphere and service together with a lovely Sunday lunch, say no more.
S. P.
Great location, nice food plenty of parking...who wouldn't like it..
T. C.
Been to this venue for many years and never been disappointed, situated on the edge of Daresbury village it is easy to get to from the M56 and well worth it too with a,superb range of lovely food, attentive pleasant staff and great surroundings.
Hard to beat for friendliness, cleanliness and value.
A. S.
Such a lovely place, very friendly and welcoming.

Food fantastic.
Staff very friendly.

My husband and I brought our daughter here for lunch. Lovely setting lovely staff. Their food was great but mine not so good, I chose lasagne, it was obviously microwaved, so although it looked like it had been crisped in an oven it was just soggy and gelatinous. The lovely waitress offered a replacement meal but we didn't really have time to wait for a replacement.
They did not charge for this meal.
My daughter had a beetroot vegetarian burger which she said was amazing, my husband had a meat burger also amazing.
The waitress Jane was truly apologetic, she was very professional and yes we will go there again.
S. A.
We went to the Ring O’Bells to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and the experience was great. The staff were wonderful, they were friendly, funny, and patient with my Nana who had left her glasses at home. The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were good. The actual atmosphere of the pub was nice as you could tell that everyone was enjoying themselves. Overall it was a fantastic meal that we all enjoyed, and I would really recommend it.
N. J.

Very good pub, lovely service beautiful decor
M. S.
The staff here kill it everyday, the food is always damn good but the effort the staff put in to make you feel special is something else.
I can't praise this place any more, it's always a fantastic experience and you're always made to feel so welcome.
Even during the busiest moments they make sure you're looked after and fed with great food, thank you guys you're amazing.
D. E.
Had a buffet at the Ring O Bells Daresbury after my mums funeral on 11th january 2022. Top marks for staff service and the warm welcoming room they provided for 30 of us.
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and competent.
Great selection of draught Beers etc.
Especial thanks to Jo, Dave and Kris who made the arrangements when i booked on fairly short notice.

Visited Saturday evening beautiful meal top class service. Can’t wait to visit again
M. J.
Gorgeous food, beautiful setting, its warm and homely with lots of knooks and cranies meaning you feel like you're having a private meal.
Been at lots of different times of day/occasions etc always great service.
W. C.
We stopped because we had missed Chester Services and needed a toilet break . . . But what a find. We sat in a lovely dog friendly area and I enjoyed a glass of mulled cider. Everything about the pub was welcoming.
k. f.
We visit here at least once a month absolutely gorgeous pub food is awesome
P. B.
Would be 5 stars but very overpriced.
Immaculate inside and the staff are friendly and provide a great service.
However £15 for 2 pints of guiness and a regular house wine probably explains why there wasn't more than 10 customers during our time there.
C. A.
Great food and fast friendly service.
D. F.
Try the avocado salad chicken and bacon delicious it goes great with a pint of the Mad Hatter lager
a. o.
Myself and my partner have come here a few times now, the food is lovely and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We got served by Corinne who went the extra mile to make our meal out lovely and is by far the best server we have ever had anywhere.
J. P.
The staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly, very attentive. Sadly, neither the booking I made on the automated system, nor the voicemail message I left had been seen by them but we were able to get a table. The food was standard pub fare but was pleasant enough. Unfortunately we had gone for brunch but as no one had heard our booking we had not been warned that brunch was only at weekends.
j. r.
Came here with my work team. Even though my booking hadn't gone through properly online when we arrived the manager ensured that they was able to seat our group even though they were turning away walk ins. The food was lovely also and staff members were Great. Definitely recommend here.
L. W.
Nice food. And nice cozy atmosphere. Staff are helpful. It's a big old pub. But it's always full.
N. W.
Great service from lovely and friendly staff. There was reasonable choice and a very reasonable lunch menu. Lovely surroundings and covid precautions with airy and spaced out seating. We were inside but I was told by friends there is a lovely outside area. Section of the restaurant is dog friendly too, so we will be back !
J. M.
The Ring o Bells is the perfect country pub - lovely surroundings, good food and friendly staff ( especially Jane ) . Highly recommend !
Y. H.

We visited as a party of 3 and it was excellent, went back as a 12 snd had our food completely free as it was that bad
j. d.
Ordered a med to well done steak it came back bleeding when cut into. They did change it for well done which was fine.
S. N.
Excellent salmon meals with very good and pleasant service.
J. W.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and great food!
C. P.
Excellent food, cannot recommend the Ring O'Bells enough. Service was swift but not pushy. Food was tasty and well presented. Special mention must go to our Server Corine who was efficient while having a great sense of humour.Best complement I can give is, we will be returning and soon.
S. C.
Nice place. Felt really homely and the staff where very accommodating. Food was nice although the veg was a little under done for my taste and a tat under seasoned hence the 4 star. Will definatley be back for the Eton mess though
A. H.
Nice food in a lovely quirky pub with large garden at the rear of the property. Chef's specials as well as usual chef and brewer menu adds additional options. Brilliantly friendly staff. And dog friendly in the bar area
P. G.
Food based pub really in a quiet road near Daresbury. Sunday lunch booked, service was very good, as was the food and portions, a few of us opted for the 4 meat version(can't remember what they call it). Only let down, which is difficult to manage, were 2 noisy families on an adjoining table. Kids shouting and getting excited made it difficult to relax and hold a conversation. Perhaps a family area would be a good idea? Well worth a visit.
B.
Nice pub in quiet part of warrington. kid friendly and accommodated large group of us. Never had a rarebit sandwich before and was pleased with it.
A. V.
Lovely food and service, salted caramel sundae was delicious and even left out the chocolate brownies and sauce as requested. Steak cooked perfectly, and not expensive. Would definitely recommend.
M. C.
Food was great, as was the service. Restaurants and toilets very clean.
B. C.
Lovely meal. Excellent service. Quite a few of the staff seemed a bit stressed out, even though It was a quiet time with not many tables to cover. You did a great job guys. Try and relax a little, and don't be too rushed about the job. Thank you. We'll see you again.
M. L.
Charming pub, lovely staff. My faves were the Cheshire Cat beer and the Sunday roast dinners we enjoyed. The slow cooked rib of beef was so soft and tasty. Yummy.
M. W.
Went to the pub for a nice bite to eat at lunch time. It was quite busy for a lunch time but the service and standard of food was not affected!
Fast service, well organised, lovely food and friendly members of staff in particular Corinne who served us, nothing was an issue, dealt with anything we wanted or needed there and then. We even had a giggle!
Super service Corinne thank you hope to see you again.
L. G.
Beautiful garden . If you have a dog there is a beer keg filled with water painted black with white paw marks. Literally water on tap for your pooch! Plus ample doggy bics. For humans- excellent service. Well cooked food, nice environment. Highly recommended.
D. D.
Lovely food, great pint and great service, especially from Owen, he was really helpful!
c. b.
Great out of the way pub not too far out side of warrington
C.
Superb food in a beautiful setting. Covid precautions were carefully adhered to in a comfortable, relaxed manner, with staff who were warm and friendly. We were served by Jane who was very welcoming and very efficient. The menu offered a good selection. We'll definitely be going back again.
R. A.
Great service and post walk pub dinner was enjoyed by our group. Excellent attentive staff, especially from Ciara 👏
We will definitely be coming again 🙂
A. P.
Food was excellent (only would say the butter is too hard for the pâté). Service was also excellent and those in training at the time too! Served by Corinne.
Have been here a few times and it’s always great!
L. W.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch of Fish, Chips and mushy peas with bread and butter on the side. Very nice as usual.
M. M.
Nice food, clean venue and good service. Good range of veggie /vegan options. Lunch menu offers a slight smaller but still generous portion. Make sure you have room for pudding.
A. B.
We had a lovely meal today and were really well looked after by Corinne who was one of the best waitresses, very friendly and excellent at her job. Food was amazing too.
R. W.
Fantastic meal, fantastic service from Corinne who made a real fuss of our 9 year old son and made him feel very grown up! Food was lovely and the place was dressed up great for Christmas.
P. B.
We called on “spec” after collecting from the Auction Centre and making our favoured purchases from the Moore village shop. This includes one of our best walks along the Bridgewater canal. We met outside one of the staff who explained that owing to staff shortages etc, they could not offer main meals today. But that drinks and sweets were available. This turned out fine. We could enjoy the inbuilt ambience and tasteful decoration of the rooms, without the busy melee. There was a slight problem with my wife’s fruit crumble which first time round had been over-microwaved but this was immediately put right with a second chance. My Eton Mess was delicious. I must highly commend any establishment that serves up a well kept Theakston’s Old Peculiar, a rarely found delight. Long may it continue. Our little staff member was attentive throughout and cannot be praised highly enough. We have been here before and always had complete satisfaction whether sitting inside or outside. Also of interest to Alice (Lewis Carroll) fans is the collection of reproduction framed pictures at the end of the front room we were in. And a magnificent quote from W.C.Fields “I always cook with wine. Sometimes I use it in the dishes”
J. W.
Great food! best onion rings I’ve ever had, pity I only got 2. Good entertainment and fair priced
J. L.
Lovely location, great staff who were very welcoming. The beer selection is good, and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend sitting in the beer garden, extremely tranquil on a sunny day!
s. l.
Amazing from start to finish 3rd time in the last few months we have been in excellent every time. Our new local only 5 mins drive away. Thank you
A. B.
Is my favourite place. We go here all the time. Quiet place, whit friendly staff and very nice atmosphere. The food is absolutely fantastic, not words to describe it.
S. W.
Great service and excellent food. The pub had a lovely atmosphere.
T. M.
Always a pleasant experience in a lovely village pub.
S. H.
Food was exceptional. Plenty of choice and different menus with different price ranges. Relaxed atmosphere and staff very accommodating. Will definitely return when in the area.
D.
Our waitress Emily was brilliant and really friendly, the place is very clean and lovely inside and the food was really enjoyable too. We did have a very minor issue with one of the dishes but it didn't stop us enjoying the meals and we will be back 😄

Bit pricey but our waiter was excellent.Seems very popular and was quite full. The food was very good and hot when served up.The decor is also good and the staff properly organised.Prices high but everywhere is pricey now.
H. P.
I ordered the pork with crackling but it was served without that is what drew me to it disappointing. Nevertheless the meal was very tasty and I enjoyed it. Lovely staff Great service.
T. J.
Lovely atmosphere and a real country pub feel. Plenty of space either for a casual drink or a nice meal. The menu choices are excellent and are obviously created by an experienced chef who has obvious skills to adapt and continually update the menu. Although we didn't eat during this visit, the food we saw looked amazing!
S. M.
Lovely meal friendly welcoming staff..would recommend
J. G.
Great service great buffet top quality food. Catered for 50 very generous portions. Recommend by (Chloe) and looked after very well. Thank you

Love the Ring O Bells always a great experience. The food was excellent, service brilliant. Value very good. Our server Jane went above and beyond. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely meal here today , and couple of drinks lovely cosy oldey worldy type pub .we'll worth a drive out to will be back very soon.staff fantastic..
L. B.
Lovely old traditional pub selling good quality food. The menu was very varied with a good choice. 5 of our party of 7 had the Sunday roast dinner which we all agreed was delicious with plenty of meat and a huge Yorkshire pudding. We all agreed that the dinners needed more gravy but we just asked for a jug of gravy and they brought one out straight away. We waited over 25 minutes for our starters to be brought out but it was very busy with it being a Sunday, apart from that couldn't fault the service. I recommend it as a great place to eat and will definitely be back.
Y. F. W.
Warmly welcomed even we just walked in for Sunday lunch. Every stuff were very attentive and polite and friendly, and they made us feel safe. The food was delicious too. We all ( include our little ones) enjoyed the first dine out after 4 months of lockdown. Thank you and we’ll come back soon!
K. B.
Excellent food and the best service we've had for a long time. Corinne our waitress made us so welcome. She was professional, courtius and had a bubbly personality. Would definitely recommend 100%
C. W.
Had a lovely lunch with great service from friendly and knowledgeable staff. Really enjoyed our visit.
J. R.
The ring o bells was very welcoming staff were very friendly and helpful went there after my aunts funeral the food was very well presented and very tasty.
f. r.
Lovely staff who were very helpful and covid compliant.
Nice outside area to eat and socialise.
Drinks are expensive though but I suppose they need to pay for the extra staff they have to employ to ensure proper table service.
C. C.
Great pub! Wasn’t feeling hungry so had the child’s vegetarian Sunday roast and it was AWESOME
A. K.
First meal out after the pandemic lockdown. Was a little apprehensive but was warmly welcomed to a relaxed pub with a good atmosphere. An intriguing and wide ranging menu. Generous portions of well cooked food, real ale and great value for money. The staff were attentive and engaging, and instilled confidence in the unobtrusive safety measures the pub has undertaken.

Excellent customer service, couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious, fresh and top quality. Decor was lovely. Would recommend the Ring o Bells.

Great food but difficulty with reservations.
We've been coming here for years and the food is always good, if somewhat slow to arrive at times.
We often come here for group functions and their online booking system doesn't work for groups of more than 8....which is just when you need to make a reservation! The confirmation says they'll call you back to make arrangements - but they don't. They said they did but phones tell you who has tried to call. We then rang on the day to add someone to the group and got an answer phone telling us someone would call back.....guess what happened! So a group of 12 arrived and there was no table at all! To be fair, the staff were lovely and set up a table and the meal went well and food was lovely, as usual. I went to pay and the gourmet card I used could only be used for groups of 8 or less, so they had to divide the bill. This looks like a company whose processes are set up for their convenience rather than that of the customer. It can't be that hard in the 21st century, surely! But we had a great time in the end, anyway. Just more stress than we wanted.
E. R.
This is a lovely country pub with an amazing garden to sit in and eat. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is good. Unfortunately the food is often mediocre although it sounds great on the menu. Recently had the cheese toastie on lunch menu which was a grey looking lump of cheesy soggy bread. I really should have sent it back as I'm sure they would have refunded me. We'll still keep going as the place & staff are amazing. Hopefully the quality of food will improve overall at some point
T. D. F.
Great staff, great beer garden. Nice to see staff with tattoos out too. Keep it real 👌can't fault. Great 1st date place and beyond.
S. K.
Social restrictions very well managed, order and pay by app facilities available, one way system throughout the premises in operation. Toilet facilities restricted to, One In One Out, with large engaged and vacant indicators on the external entrance doors of the toilets. The staff were very attentive whilst still maintaining current safety requirements, all wearing ppe. On top of that the food was excellent and really good value for money. I'd have no qualms in going back and recommending it to others.
R. G. W.
Well what a place, amazing venue very good selection food and drinks. Nice choice on the menu too and vegetarian options are good too. Good selection of wines and beers and other drinks. The quality of food is amazing and the portions were very generous. And the prices well that was a surprise for the excellent quality and what you get very impressed with our bill. I will be going there again. Make sure you book as it gets busy which is no surprise. The staff were very friendly and very good service too.
A. C. W.
Good social distancing measures. Beautiful pub. Only 4 stars as very limited choice on gluten free lunch options. Menu showed vegan/ vegetarion options but not GF. Had to ask for special menu. Service was excellent.
T. L. o. N. R.
Amazing. Took the missus there and we had a great meal with starters everything arrive just in the right time. Perfectly cooked. Outdoor seating was brilliant although I had to prop a leg on the table ahah
Would highly recommend

Really lovely food and great staff 😀

Food here is amazing. Lovely atmosphere and staff were great! Would deffinatly reccomend.
P. K.
I've been to this pub quite a few times mainly with my mother because she's celiac and this place has a very good gluten free menu. It's also has a very nice rustic look inside which makes for a nice atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal from here despite hearing overs complain I have always enjoyed any meal I've tried here but this latest one was the best one yet so I have to give it 5 stars and I'm sure I'll be going back there soon
K. R.
Always a warm welcome here. The food and atmosphere is fantastic. Ample parking at the rear of the pub as well as a beautiful 'secret garden' for the warmer days.
Theirs always a great selection of craft beers on draft and if you're a CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) member you get discounted drinks. Cheers!
C. W.
Fab Sunday lunch helpful and pleasant staff definitely recommend it
J. K.
Lovely place, we ate in the lovely garden area. Staff really accommodating and friendly . I had a great gluten free meal and to top our delightful experience they stocked Crabbies gluten free ginger beer. No complaints. We will be returning again, hopefully soon. 5 stars!
M. H.
Sadly here for a funeral of my wife’s relative but what a lovely calming place with an excellent atmosphere. Buffet was lovely and the staff were superb. We from from North West Wales and if this pub did B&B we would have stayed the night and explored the area. Will definitely go back.
E. B.
Booked a table for a party of 7 people for Friday 22 Feb 2019.
Glad I did as the pub was very packed, vibrant.
Despite being packed the arrangement inside the pub, did not make me feel claustrophobic.
A lovely vibrant feel.
Lovely decor, seating.
The food was served promptly considering how busy it was.
Our food was presented well and tasted beautiful.
Drinks were served promptly and the staff very attentive.
It was service with a smile, made our family night more special
Cutelry clean
Toilets lovely and clean
Plenty of parking to the rear of the pub.
Sincerely recommend, but book your table in advance.
P. Y.
A lovely pub. Lots of pluses: food, decor and staff helpfulness. We took a party of 6 adults, 2 children and a baby for Saturday lunch. Took account of our request for a high chair and allergy menu. Only negative, was time it took to serve us; small children can get quite restless. Nonetheless, well worth a visit.
l. c.
Just been for a beautiful lunch ,You are made to feel completely safe with staff constantly cleaning furniture and door handles .Toilet system using the occupied system all safe and spotless. The food was absolutely beautiful and Jane our waitress was lovely and friendly certainly would reccomend to anyone who wants great service made to feel safe and of course wonderful food 👌
D. R.
We were looked after by a lovely young lady called Corinne!!! Excellent service and excellent food!! Highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely pub with good food and great service. Went there for my sisters birthday, had a really good time. Staff were excellent. Been a while since I have been there will definitely go back
J. B.
It's been a few years since we have been to the ring o'bells 1st experience was top notch and this evening didn't dissappoint either, good food fantastic service especially our baby face server lol..good cosy atmosphere
M. E.
I have been coming in here for donkeys years and I hope that you find it to be the greatest pub/restaurant for miles. I live locally and I could not believe such a great place it really is. The staff are first class as is the food and surroundings. I often take my family there and although they don't live in the area, they recommend it to all of their own friends, every one of them who goes gives a recommendation. They say that there is no need for advertising when the personal recommendation is cheaper. I find it good value for money.
G. R.
A very good dining experience is to enjoyed at the Ring O'Bells. Plenty of variety on the menu and served promptly and politely by the efficient staff. A bit of a mix up with the drinks order which was quickly resolved, but I would not hesitate to dine here in the future.
Well recommended.
P. W.
A really beautiful place ,home cooked food ,staff very nice and helpful best of all DOG FREINDLY would highly recommend
F. H.
Fantastic pub fabulous menu staff are wonderful nothing too much trouble lovely area will be back soon
M. D.
Lovely meal, great decor and service.
Friendly restaurant, and not as expensive as you would think it should be!
S. N.
Our first visit on Sunday and although very busy we were able to find seating until a table became available. My partner is Coeliac and we were given a separate Gluten Free menu to choose from, which was extensive. Once seated for food our meals were brought in a timely manner given how busy it was, and the service was spot on with any extra condiments brought to us straight away. The food was great quality and piping hot. All the staff were polite and friendly. There is a large outdoor seating area which in summer would be a lovely place to sit and dine al fresco. We will certainly pay a return visit in the near future.
I. M.
The food smelt good - although I didn't eat here, I wouldn't hesitate to order based on the empty plates and aromas from the kitchen. The range of drinks on draught was good, considering the franchise status. The staff were friendly, helpful, informative, and conscientious. The standout feature of Ring O'Bells is the garden, which is a visiting point in and of itself.... one can easily imagine a bustling Sunday afternoon, full of revelry, dogs, families, and laughter. Highly recommended.

Lovely food and lovely staff
A. (.
When I walked in I assumed from the look of the entrance that this would be normal "pub grub" but I was extremely pleasantly surprised!
The food options made it very hard to choose as most items sounded amazing. There were 5 of us dining and not a single one of us had a bad meal or a bad word to say about the place.
Definitely deserves a 5/5
J. P.
Really enjoyed my visit there. Very friendly n service great. Could do with more choice in meals.
J. T.
We have been to this pub / restaurant a few times, great pin, great atmosphere, great drinks excellent food. Unfortunately this occasion we were there for the after drinks and food for my late dad's funeral. All I can say is the place is 1st class on all accounts! The food was perfect, my dad would have enjoyed it and the afternoon catching up with old friends and family to talk about old times was made more special by the environment of the beautiful pub. The staff were fantastic and can't knock it. Will be back again soon under different circumstances. Can't recommend this place enough.
G. D.
Nice pub that does good food. Visited for Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the generous portions, and quality of the fare.
3 of us had the *premium* Sunday lunches, one each of beef rib (for myself) lamb, and pork belly. The other 2 in the party were delighted with their meals, portions were sizable yet not over facing, the beef rib was truly slow cooked, fell off the bone and was thoroughly delicious, served with a with a red wine gravy and the usual potatoes & veg. The lamb had very little fat, much to my wife's surprise, and was very enjoyable, the pork belly, a slightly smaller portion, was again cooked well and presented beautifully.
Starters, we stuck to the traditional here, 2 prawn cocktails - plenty of prawns, in a slightly spiced Marie Rose, went down well! The other in the party had a choice of soups, opted for the vegetable and found it quite tasty.
Overall a very enjoyable lunch in lovely surroundings with good service, we would definately return and look forward to doing so.
M. P.
It's a lovely place to dine and have a drink, I really love this pub, the food is wonderful and the staff are very friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend this pub.
G. W.
We hadn't visited here since it had revamped. We have varied ages in our party including 2 vegetarians, we were all catered for from the standard menu and everyone enjoyed their meals especially the desserts. Service was very good although food prep was a little slow. Price would make this a special occasion meal rather than a frequent visit. Overall a very good evening and would have scored 4.5 if it was possible.
D. R.
Great food , great staff 👍
M. J.
Atmosphere and service is very good and this makes the experience great.
However, the food quality is not up to other Greene King establishments. I had the same autumn menu burger as I had at the Romper at Manchester airport 2 weeks ago, but it was completely different, and not as good
r. r.
A bit like a tardis is this pub . Massive beer gardens and great car park at the back .spacious and welcoming inside. Very dog friendly with nice staff and very good food . For a chain ...Pub food surprisingly good . Home cooked and very tasty. We will return
M. O.
Had a great meal in here very friendly staff and good food what more can you ask for
C. B.
Absolutely lovely, lovely staff, great food. Cannot fault it, I'm sure we will be back.
R. L.
Nice atmosphere and attentive service. Some menu items and beers out of stock which was disappointing. Food a bit average.
T. H.
Fantastic staff, good food and chefs able to cater for really special dietary needs. What more could anyone want for a meal out. Hope to see you all again soon - after the latest lockdown!
S. O.
Great service, lovely food, staff have great knowledge of the menu.
M. P.
This pub is a cosy little gem hidden away. The service at the bar was on par with almost any other pub. But for dog walkers and owners it's something else. The complimentary dog treats and the water bowl made it clear that our furry little friends are not only allowed, but welcome. Would definitely recommend!
E. H.
Always a pleasure to eat here, good variety on the menu and great service. Can highly recommend.
T. C.
Really good menu, food quality and excellent staff. Caters for dogs really well and away from other diners is you don't like pooches. Building and location is fab too. One of Cheshire's best. Busy though.
S. W.
Once my family friendly pub/restaurant. The food is very nice and is always his.
R. R.
Although I asked for a quiet table it was not really that quiet even though there was a lot of space available. Service was excellent and the waitress worked hard constantly. Food was average. Obviously a popular venue. Just not for me.
N. C.
This is quite a nice place and the staff were very friendly. The food is about average for a place of this type. My family enjoyed what they ordered. My only real gripe was when my fish and chips arrived. The cook had sprinkled about 15 chips on my plate. The plate looked half empty and it put me in a bad mood for the rest of the meal. For the first time in my whole life, I let the waitress know what I thought when asked how our meals were. She was kind enough to offer me extra chips and returned a few minutes later with about 10 extra chips. I wouldn't say that this place was very good value for money.
g. c.
Lovely meal staff were so nice and friendly a great time we had
M. A.
Went for company Christmas dinner, 97 covers so no small matter. Starter (mushrooms) was good, main course & pudding though were victims of portion control. One pig in blanket, 2 sprouts, whole lot covered with a massive Yorkshire pud, mainly there to cover who little there was of the rest of it. Pudding was a small piece of cheesecake. Service was good, beer was kept well.
n. a.
Nice quaint pub with a lovely outdoor garden.
C. N.
Been 3 times in 2 weeks love the place , food is great , staff are great , and not expensive, working my way up to having a mixed grill,
S. J.
Food is lovely here. Always leave very full and satisfied. Nice atmosphere and fab staff
R. W.
Was told it was fully booked for the evening but a lady managed to find us a table for myself, my husband and 1 year old son. Was a lovely booth so easy to keep my son enclosed in. Staff were very friendly and made lots of effort with my son. Have been plenty of times before and will certainly be returning
J. F.
Was lovely going for a meal was made to feel so safe the way the tables were set out the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you the food was so nice will be returning again xxx
T.
Excellent staff and the food is always really nice! Nice little warm pub which is always buzzing, can’t go wrong!
C. D.
Ring O'Bells had a lovely ambience in the whole place. The staff were very friendly and courteous, they couldn't have done enough. All the meals were very tasty and hot. As it was a Saturday night there was plenty of people there. We did have a short break between each course, but not too long that we noticed. I would certainly have another meal at Ring O'Bells.
Yes, an excellent meal was had by all.
L. G.
Fantastic service by Erin today and the food was amazing - served very quickly and to a very high standard. My friend had the vegan Garden Bowl and said it was the best vegan meal she had ever eaten at a restaurant. Will be coming here again and recommending to friends.
M. W.
Good variety of dishes on the menu to suite all tastes and preferences, we visited at peak at 6 pm however service of all dishes was timely. The food itself was hot, well presented and tasty.
The atmosphere was relaxed; nice touch was the availability of toiletries in the toilets.
Although we did not take our meals outside the well kept and manicured gardens were very inviting for anyone seekimg al fresco.
The only negative was that the bright evening sunlight highlighted that the windows were in need of a good clean however this did not affect our enjoyment of our visit.
We will certainly return.
l. P.
Lovely pub. Sat by the fire, was very cosy.
Two of our party had the sirloin steak as its only £10 on a Saturday, they said it was good, though not as tasty as normal.
One person had the vegan burger which wasn't great, just a burger and chips, no salad garnish at all.
All should have come with triple cooked chips but they were just bog standard frozen chips.
D. F.
Good food and ale. Pricey but all the food seems hand-made and presented well. Indoor setting is nice, with handwritten menus and local info. Outside seating, front and back with a small dog-friendly bar area inside.
S. H.
Nice pub. Good food. Always enjoy my visit
A. B.
Nice place, brilliant location, great decor. Booked a table for 6 and when a member of our party brought their children the staff were very accommodating into extending our seating as they could spare the space. For a table of our size the service was great with drinks and food supplied in good time. Only 1 drink was forgotten and quickly remedied when asked, all the food was correct first time.
J. R.
Perfect surroundings and amazing food. We had the sharing platter and truffle fries and it was so scrumptious. Hidden gem x
A. R.
Excellent food and drink ! Lovely old pub, with lots of traditional features !! Staff very attentive and helpful !! Would definitely recommend 👌 !!
P. S.
Great food, great staff, great surroundings. We were waited on by Corrine who was lovely. Very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Very enjoyable relaxed evening.
S. W.
Came as part of a group for my mum's birthday. We all had some sort of Sunday lunch.
I had the roast beef and the meal was very tasty, but the beef was advertised as being pink and it was really overcooked and hard to cut, but it still tasted good overall. Also the beef came as just two very, very small slices.
N. M.
Not happy with being asked how much tip I would like to give whilst paying by card. It would have been nice to have chance to sample service and food before deciding. Hence, no tip was given. I suppose lots of places do this now but I find it unacceptable. One of my party requested that the mustard sauce served with her meal vould be on the side and not poured over the food. This was noted but not adhered to. We made no complaint, but that was poor service. Which resulted in no tip left at all.
A. H.
The very best food I have eaten (obviously except my mums 😂) I had calamari, 7 hour cooked rib beef and choux bun.
The portion sizes are HUGE! !!! I can't recommend this place enough .
The ONLY niggle (and that's all it is ) was that there wasn't a lot of veg on the plates, and, my mum, who's birthday it was, hates gravy which her meal was covered in. ... I love gravy so it was a plus for me.
Everyone should go here
J. N.
Evening meal of the best burger. Burger was tasty and flame grilled, came with bacon cheese and fried egg could have done without that and also the chips and coleslaw. It was such a lot to eat! But, at least it came on a plate like I asked. Vegan dessert of torte with coconut ice cream was great.
All in all a lot to eat but enjoyable.
C. S.
Beautiful friendly pub with large beer garden for sunny days. Food is pretty good and I can recommend the pulled pork burger. Downside as so often is the case, it's unlikely to be close enough to walk for most so someone will be drawing the short straw.
C. N.
Lovely pub with friendly staff. The decoration is welcoming and it's really clean. What's even better is that its dog friendly so you can sit inside and even eat with your fur family. Loved it.
B. B.
I was very impressed by this place from the first moment. Unlike other local establishments this was well kept, fancy furnishings and very knowledgeable staff. All of the food options were above expectations, very delicious and thorough to the menu's descriptions. Wine selection is more extensive than any other pub I've seen in the UK.
J. B.
Great place to visit, service, food and drink are great, really friendly staff, great outdoor area in summer and lovely and cosy inside in winter with the open fires
S. C.
Lovely old fashioned pub always enjoy food and great service and atmosphere
J. M.
Lovely meal and good service.

Very nice for a family meal.
Varied menu, and good value for money. Staff really attentive and pleasant
Beer garden was lovely to sit in, well kept and tidy.
Will be going back again
A. C.
Varied and tasty menus, tasteful decor and efficient, friendly members of staff. Highly recommended. Big shout out to our server today, Jane, who had a lovely, friendly disposition and provided a great service.
H. O.
Old favourite many years ago. Place has doubled in size and is beautifully done. Sunday lunch was gorgeous beef although the vegetables were undercooked for me and too tough to eat. Service was excellent. Lovely place.
J. G.
An excellent choice to embrace the EAT OUT TO HELP OUT Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday experience!
With 50% all food and soft drinks without the £10 limit, it really is an opportunity not to miss! 👍
D.
Unfortunately we couldn't get a table in the restaurant due to being fully booked (which sometimes is a good sign), but we were seated and served in the bar area.
The food was good, enjoyable and reasonably priced. The surroundings were homely and rustic which we truly loved, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely eat/drink here again.
A. G.
Nice garden, perfect place for evening meal.
D. C.
Amazing quality food, very, very polite staff, and waitresses, I honestly couldn't fault one thing about our visit today.
Such great customer care, and politeness, is such a rare quality these days, absolutely 10 out of 10 on the food as well.
We will be going back there on a regular basis from now on.
Please keep up the great work.
C. S.
Had a big family christmas lunch which was delicious. A three course meal at a very reasonable price and the roast potatoes were amazing and there was plenty to eat. Staff were attentive and very friendly. I woukd highly recommend snd wound go back again.
P. P.
Really lovely pub, clean, traditional and staff 10/10.
Now to the food.
Pate, lovely a little less butter on top maybe but that’s not a complaint.
Fish and chips lovely, crispy batter, tasty fish, nice chips, peas were left under a food heater too long and had a crust on top.
Sunday roast was good.
Chefs choice of the day Sea bass and scallops, sea bass was over cooked, dry, tasteless and like rubber, the scallops were warm, the risotto was disgusting, like it had been left under a food heater to go hard and last minute somebody pour cold single cream and olive oil over it, sorry but 0/10 for that effort.
My poor mum had Luxury lasagna, she never complaied once as she chipped away at the top layer that was so hard I couldn’t even break between my teeth, it looked like it had been in the oven 4 or 5 times, it was black and burnt.
We were told the wait for food was 40 minutes as we sat down, I have no problem with that but I do expect quality food after so long.
The head chef really needs to know what leaves the kitchen and ask would I serve that to my parents.
H. P.
Good food, good service, reasonable prices. One of my favourites in the area.
r. c.
Fantastic pub! Popped in after a dog walk, the staff were all excellent and very friendly. The food was delicious and good value. Would highly recommend a visit.
J. S.
Lovely food and service as always
C. D.
Very lovely meal here with my daughter & partner. Prices reasonable for the value of food. Had choice of afternoon menu & main menu. Nice atmosphere with pleasant & helpful staff. Good choice of wines too!!
p. w.
Nice country pub, a little expensive but good all the same
M. P.
Great meal as per usual. Staff really friendly, and nothing to much. Cannot stress how good the food is. Would highly recommend!!!!
J. D.
Quality of the food was wonderful but there was a chronic shortage of staff. We were left waiting far too long to be asked what orders we wanted to place and then had to go to pay at the bar as there wasn't anyone coming to take payment at the table at the end of the meal. Again, the food is absolutely lovely, but they need more staff.
S. J.
What a great place, we only live a few miles away and have only been here a few times,we'll definitely be going back. We had our small dog with us and we were amazed at how welcoming the staff were and explained the areas were we could take our dog, such friendly staff, and really comfortable,oh! and great food!
S. D.
Our 3rd visit to this restaurant definitely a fave had an excellent Sunday dinner they have everything right lovely food and friendly staff our waitress Holly was so helpful. Can’t wait to return absolutely loved it 🤩
J. N.
Village pub with a good atmosphere. Part of the Chef and Brewer chain. Food service was good eveb when they are busy. Beers are an interesting range and wrll kept. Food was standard for the chain. Lots of nice areas to sit even if not eating and there is a big car park.
K. W.
food was fab and the service was just lovely x
j. j.
Lovely old pub which has been extended in keeping with the original character. Sunday roast meals were excellent! House wine not overpriced. Friendly service.
M. W.
A cosy out of the way pub which was surprisingly busy at lunchtime. I was in a party of 10 and there was another large party which meant for slow service.
I had the chicken, bacon and avocado salad which was tasty but was a little disappointed with the amount of bacon and avocado.
That lunchtime there was a gourmet burger deal with burger, chips and a drink for £10 which a majority of my colleagues had. Burgers came in a brioche bun which is to my liking
D. C.
We always have a great experience here, the staff are amazing as is the food. I wanted to thank Owen in particularly for his brilliant service today (we came in at 13:30 with the pug)
R. W.
Lovely food and great service. Nice little place and would go again
v. w.
Beautiful large Sunday roast dinner... Service with a smile and the Yorkshire pud are worth going back for.
R. N.
2 lots of cold chips replaced. Rib eye was definitely not. Very thin and no fat veins at all. Eton Mess had no meringue. Very strange. The service was however very good and friendly.
S. D.
Lovely pub and family friendly along with our spaniel dog.. Menu very versatile and something for all tastes. Good selection of drinks available...Enjoyed our Saturday evening.
F. c.
Lovely meal and great service the waitress was very good and knowledgeable about the food the staff seemed as happy to be back as we were to be there would definitely go again 😃
H.
The food was really nice, and the decor beautiful. Small critique - 5 stars if staff a tad quicker and didnt miss some of order and forget things asked for.
K. “. u.
Excellent meal AGAIN. Food, service, atmosphere, never fails. Lovely pub and staff can't do enough. Vicky, Eve & Kris so pleasant. Really enjoyed it, looking forward to returning
.
T. N.
Personally I had the cod and chips and found to nice, If a little oversized. I could possibly bear pudding after that but it was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very good.
M. B.
Sad occasion, there for a funeral but the food and staff were excellent. We would highly recommend.
B.
Super place, great food, even better staff. So friendly and helpful, never had a bad time here

A really nice outdoor seating area for meals and drinks. Staff were brilliant! 👏🏼

Good food served well. Also pretty quickl considering how many people were there. The jokes in the crackers weren't bad either. And four marbles is a better cracker gift than everywhere else too.
E. P.
Lovely pub. The food is always good. Staff are friendly. Recommend to book a table for the weekend although they try there hardest to accommodate everyone.

The Ring O Bells is one of my favourite places to eat, very friendly , lovely decor, and covid safe, excellent food and service, if you go enjoy 🍺🍷🍽️
J. S.
Lovely food, great location and our waitress Jane was lovely 😘
M. L.
Really good food and service. Staff very attentive

I have frequented this pub since the'80s and it is at its best now. Historic now utilising the old courthouse. A great place for having dinner with friends. Had lunch yesterday Lasagne with great chips and salad. Could have done with another layer of pasta though but not bad for just under a tenner.

After moving out of the area I hadn't been here for many years and I was very pleasantly suprised at the changes made. Inside and out has been changed and improved so much. Lots of seating inside and the menu was fabulous. We were informed of a 30 min wait for food as it was a busy lunch time but our meals arrived earlier than that. All our meals were cooked really well and were delicous Also the service by all staff was warm and friendly

Great pub and the food is lovely. Very family friendly, always a good atmosphere, and a nice place to go with your mates too. Can get quite busy so I recommend booking a table if you're looking for a place to eat in the evening. Staff are great and good beer selection as well!

Service was fine.
Sadly the food was not to the expected standard as it had been on previous occasions.
Quite disappointed with both dishes and especially the 'triple cooked chips' which were pale and tasted more like frozen, once cooked chips.
J. P.
Great place. Unspoilt by tourism. Little gem in a quiet village. Lunchtime menu 12-4pm half price good. Food is delicious. Large carpark. Would give 10 stars if I could
L. A.
Gorgeous setting ..food hot .staff attentive
M. B.
Really warm welcome and great food.
R. S.
Fantastic food and fantastic service, really couldn't ask for more
J. B.
Good selection of gins and real ale. Meal really good but a number of items on the menu unavailable. Lucy the waitress was very friendly and informed us on each item but had to continually apologise bless her. No shropshire blue cheese for the salad starter, no sapphire for the seafood grill, no cream or meringue for the Eton mess, only Americano as the coffee machine was broken and no Drambuie for a liqueur. Overall a good meal but Lucy lost out on a good tip due to the management's failure to meet what was on the menu.

En route back home after a long weekend in Betws-y-coed, I stopped by the themed pub for a spot of lunch. The ambience was delightful, the food, a platter of mixed grill which included Black pudding, a sunny side up egg and the best crispy onion wedge I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. This visit has set itself up for a sequel 😁😁.

Beautiful sunday dinner. I love the character of this place and the staff are great too

Good choice of meals, spacious & smart surroundings with real fire on cold days. Friendly staff serving tasty food. Even a good pot of tea which is unusual for a pub
F. C.
Excellent food and drink, service great. Lovely surroundings for a scrummy meal with family
J. L.
Leisurely lunch, very nice, staff A1
A.
Very atmospheric, cozy, tasty place!
R. W.
Great service but the pub is part of a franchise now. The most part of the menu is typical pub food thats microwavable, dry, tastless etc!
Sunday roasts are signifantly better than the rest of the menu.
O. R.
Good good, reasonable Prices,Sunday roast to die for...
C. H.
Came for a meal with family last month. Food and service both very good.
K. D.
Great pub for a Sunday lunch after a Lewis Carrol trail walk nearby. Food quality is top notch and the staff are friendly. Good value too. Highly recommended. ❤️

Stopped in on recommendation. Made welcome and felt safe. Staff very friendly. Better to call and book first but lovely meal.

The only place I've been too where the Alice in Wonderland theme naturally works. The food and drink selection was diverse with something for everyone. The staff were all friendly and the speed of service was great.

Absolutely fabulous looked after by the bar staff nothing was any trouble thank you ring o bells first time back to having a drink at a pub made to feel at ease would fully recommend going
S. U.
Very nice and welcoming place the beer and the food is excellent, you must give it a try and you can take your dog in a small area, what more do you want. Has a habit of keeping food warm and it dries out.

Just enjoyed a lovely meal with my wife with beautiful food, in a really nice environment.
Our waitress ,Elora was warm and friendly and with great knowledge of the menus and specials. We would highly recommend.
D. O.

M. E.
It was our first visit. Food was absolutely delicious but service wasn't great at all. At least our table didn't looked after well, We have to ask the girl whi sje was in charge if our table to clear out table or etc.... I would recommend this place if you are not to fussy about the service & we'll be return here soon
A. F.
Food was good but service very slow. Pub wasn’t even particularly that busy.
R. C.
The pub serves local Weetwood beers . Good food CAMRA discounts for real ale. Large car park. Dining is emphasised but still a "proper" pub where you can just have a drink
A. E.
Lovely food. Excellent service from Owen.
N. H.
Amazing staff and great food
P. C.

The only pub in daresbury village and a nice little pub at that..
The menu is chef and brewer chain
There's a good choice of food and drink..reasonably priced..a nice garden and a big car park...
A nice stop off if you are out that end for a drive.
J. L.
Good atmosphere, good food, staff very helpful and courteous
B. S.
Enjoyed a light meal with a group of (35) friends after a six mile walk. Good food, served without delay, and the beer is well kept too.
C. M.
Nice clean venue. Decor lovely. Staff lovely. Disappointed with my meal but waitress tried her best to address it.
T. R.
Staff went out of thier way to accomodate us when we had not booked a table. Good beers and good choice of specials. Nice place.
C. E.
Previously had a poor experience a few years ago, however several visits later and I've had nothing but great food and friendly staff. Nice decor inside and out.
P. A.
Good food, nice atmosphere and the staff are all really friendly.
C. P.
Had a problem with cheese toastie brioche meal as plastic use by label was left buried in meal during eating. However told waitress who brought another one. Didn't make a fuss but was told the meal was on the house including my gammon so can't complain at that. Pub food is usual pub grub standard could tell the brioche was packaged and straight out of a microwave hence the plastic label.
P. O.
Lovely family meal enjoyed by all including the children.
Friendly staff and I thought that some of the meal presentation was clever too. Must take photos next visit.
m. i.
Oh dear! This used to be a favourite summer time eat outside venue, many a happy time here. Big but the last visit very average food , service polite to the point of being apolagetic , what's gone wrong!
S. W.
Buiding is very nice and pleasent. Customer Service could be improved though. Parts of the order where missing and had to wait to for the staff to figure out which table we could have in the whole empty pub.
M. H.
Great food, beers a bit pricey but being a CAMRA member 10 percent off real ale. Lovely setting in a beautiful village. Birth place of Lewis Carroll.
N. F.
Very hospitable an a pleasant surprise for nice tasty food

Very friendly pub, excellent food reasonably priced too. Toilets for male and female have toiletries free of charge (first place I have seen to also have free "ladies personals").

S. G.
Lovely pub. Will be back for a meal.
C. P.
Had to wait forever to be served at the bar, the decor is really nice but the food has gone down hill a bit and the portions aren't great. There was more cake in the ice cream Sunday than there was ice cream.
N.
Absolutely fantastic food! No wait and has an amazing Mac and cheese! To be honest, the isn't really much that is bad except s9me dogs who row at each other.
D. B.
Once again food excellent and good value for money. The hunters chicken the best. Jane and the other ladies service first class.Overall 5 star.
S. M.
The food was a good experience however the wait for the food was embarrassingly poor taking upwards of 50 minutes; added on top of this was a generally poor service. 'Tis a shame since the rest of the pubs atire is a good apparel and atmosphere.
G. H.
Good menu selection. Service with a smile. Well prepared and presented food. Prices on the upper end. Overall good
N. P.
