Nice staff, very friendly. Never had a bad carvery here. My only gripe would be that there was no mashed potato available for my little girl when we visited last Saturday. Having said that...the meat was tasty and tender and a good selection of vegetables. Keep up the good work.

Very positive experience. The table was ready for us when we arrived and an extra person joined us and immediately a member of the team came over and moved a table to make room for them. Ordering was easy, food arrived in a timely manner and was enjoyable.

Ordered the sirloin steak, which was tasty, shame about the mushroom and tomato tasted like they were cooked on a grill which had not been cleaned for a month, the peas were tasty but cold and the sweet potato fries were hot and tasty, I would of liked to be able to give my feedback to the staff/management whilst sat at the table not as we were leaving. This place is usually good with no issues don't know what has happened.

Nice food, although my first choice was unavailable menu due to a new menu coming into play in the next few days. Helping could have been a little bigger. Quite a wait for food, had to ask twice for our dessert.

Fantastic service and even better food. My son wanted a mixed grill which they didn't do Bank Holidays. However thanks to Emma and Craig the chef made one for him. Can highly recommend the Skymaster. Will definately be coming back.

An impromptu visit for our evening meal, welcomed and given an option of where to sit. The ordering process was fully explained, including the QR ordering. The whole service was spot on, and many other establishments could learn from their customer service. Well done to the staff and a big thanks.

We arrived and we’re served immediately really helpful bar staff, after which someone came out to check on us and bring the dog water. The place was really tidy and clean and all staff made an effort to greet us as we passed.

Used Skymaster for 1st time although it's been there for years. Went for a meal before going to the Odeon cinema at Wesbrook, so handy for this. Had a pleasant time, had the cavery. Meals looked good, so will be goin back another time. All staff members were very pleasant. Clean place and was quiet.

Dropped in for drinks and a snack with my elderly mother. We were given a table right out of the way in a corner. Think it was to stop people possibly tripping over the mobile walker my mum uses. Food was okay, but the whole place was terribly warm with no ventilation. Would I go again, maybe not .

Arrived late evening Friday 25th with my son, (University visit) staying at the hotel next door. Have to say, after a 3 hour journey we got the warmest smile and most friendliest of welcomes by Emma who introduced herself 😁 very engaging and chatty, even got words out of my 18 year old son lol. Asked us our names. She spoke about her family and kids which I loved. She gave us great advice about where to go out and about, involving the chef as well. Booked us a food table for Saturday evening and I presumed she was the manageress. Until, as we were about to leave and talking with Emma, while Emma was mopping the floor behind the bar, she was in my opinion, criticised and belittled about how she was mopping? Mopping!! It was unnecessary and to be honest, made me feel uncomfortable. I then realised the woman who said this must be the manageress. The only engagement I had with her was when she said we had to leave early because my son and I were the only ones left in the pub I really felt for Emma! Her little face... She kept her cool... Visited the pub on Saturday for my evening meal, greeted by the manageress who I will say was polite and pointed me to my table. Saw Emma and again, she took the time to ask about my sons uni visit, our plans. The other staff were friendly and lovely. The food was delicious and prompt despite being so busy. After finishing my meal and because of Emma's customer attention to myself, I actually sought her out to thank her. Felt that comfortable we even had a hug goodbye. My advice would be, do everything you can to keep this lady, when you get new staff that need customer training, she should be involved. All your staff were fine don't get me wrong, but Emma was lovely..... If I'm in Liverpool again, I would happily visit your pub again. All the best for the future, Paul Court

Staff approached us to advise when to go for our carvery as other meals ordered would be out shortly service was just perfect. Also noticed how they also cleaned tables that had been vacated very quickly so obviously very aware of covid issues. Just wished they had been able to book in for Christmas meal but it's our fault we should have booked earlier.

Catered for my wedding breakfast and they couldn't have done anymore if they tried. Food was beautiful, kept us updated with everything and made sure Bride and Groom where well looked after. Even gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly which we thoroughly enjoyed. Always a great time when we've been here before but they really outdid themselves. Great service and great food. We went on a Monday night around 630pm, it was busy but nothing to daunting. We pre-booked our table the same day and was greeted with a warm smile and taken to our seats. Food and drinks very reasonably priced and It has a play area and outside seating for those with children. The carvery is amazing and approx £7.50 for a medium sized plates worth! Pay this place a visit, and like us, you will return again and again 👍

I've been a few times now. First went for a leaving do and the food was excellent. They had run out of a couple of popular options on the menu on that occasion but they've not missed anything since. Last two occasions were both birthday parties for my children and the food was fantastic. Plenty of choice on the menu left nobody without something they really wanted. Portion sizes were very good too. Nobody went hungry. They also supplied plates and a knife so we could have birthday cake (which they allowed us to bring in). There is an outdoor play area for the children, a small play corner inside too, so my two children love it there. They also have a children's entertainer (on Tuesday's). Plenty of parking, close to motorway and alternative travel routes if necessary. Travel Lodge on the other side of the site, with a Harvester's, Frankie & Benny's, Starbucks, Subway and Bombay 8 Indian Restaurant on site. So if you're staying at the Travel Lodge for a couple of nights, you've got a good choice available. Skymaster would definitely get a pick for at least one meal, the majority choice for the various family members too.

Food is good value although it is fairly basic pub grub and portions are not that large unless you go for carvery. Four of us has the 2 for £10 meals. Of those carvery is the best value and you can go large for an extra £2. Beef was tasty but not that tender but turkey was good. Puddings also nice but they cost nearly as much as the main course. Although this is not a craft beer paradise the Marstons pedigree was very drinkable

I visited last night with my son and his gf, who is vegan and gluten intolerant. All the staff were pleasant but David (Manager) and Megan (behind the bar) were both brilliant and went out of their way to accommodate us. They were both so friendly and extremely helpful. Hospitality is definitely the right job for both of them! All three meals were tasty, hot and excellent value. One starter and three main meals came to just over £21 with the daily offer applied. Altogether a fab experience and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Went to Skymaster tonight with my best Friend and Family. I had a voucher with 25% off so opened a tab for us. When I went to pay our bill the voucher did not come off the bill. I actually forgot about it at first lol but I told the Guy on the till seconds later. I must say they could not do enough for me to get that money back on my card. Unfortunately the tills are old and don't work to good so was unable to refund. In the end the Chef came out and just gave me the money out of the till. No messing no fuss. Brilliant customer service and the Bar staff are so friendly and funny. We all had a really great night. Brilliant service Brilliant food. Brilliant customer service. Lovely, well kept, smart, clean well presented pub. Lovely staff, brilliant manager in David. The carvery was superb. Just short on cauli and broccoli but the choice of other veg was great. If you are looking for reasonably priced food in a standard pub/restaurant this is for you. The carvery can be a real value meal, current promotion serving 2 medium meals for just £10 Just remember, all the carvery food is under heat-lights so can be very dried. So its all about timing. My suggestion would be take a look before you order! Lots of other items to choose from and staff are friendly and helpfull. Good family pub.

I had a medium carvery, which meant a refillable plate. I didn't want meat, I just wanted a plate full of veg and they were very accommodating and friendly. They assured me everything was veggie friendly and I was amazed that the gravy was veggie friendly. For the meat eaters, there was a roast dinner burger, had every animal on it that you could imagine including pigs in blankets, topped off with two yorkshire puddings. All of it tasted absolutely amazing and the carvery was great value for money. Will definitely be going back there again.
