I enjoyed this pub, the 2 storey layout is great and also has a good outside seating area too. Very reasonable prices for drinks too

We came here tonight after a long, tiring day at gullivers world as we wanted to get some food before our train journey home back to Manchester. There was a drunk man inside being dealt with by police and the staff handled it great! They were very apologetic about the disturbance which hadn't even affected us at all as he was kicked out within minutes of us arriving. The two young girls working were very accommodating and professional throughout our visit and we'd definitely come again if we were in the area again.

Had Supper at the Looking glass last . Really run down and dirty. Crockery chipped, disinterested staff, Portion size was good for both meals but chip oil needed changing. I used to frequent this pub a couple times a month when it was Wetherspoons, however it is clear the new owners are not at all invested in this new venture. Most likely will not return.

Lovely Sunday roast. Nevet fails to please when I come here. Great service. Missed off the mash potatoe and got it within minutes. Briliiant when it arrived. Nice an fluffy. Asked for mint sauce and got it right away. Brilliant service. Would totally recommend. Gravy comes in a little pot. Would prefer it actually on the roast but other than that, brilliant.

Called for an impromptu Sunday lunch - unfortunatly they no longer do them. Ended up with an all day breakfast/lunch. Relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced food, & some with a drink included. Choose between a soft drink, or from a selection of alcoholic drinks. Had to ask for more chips as not many on the the plate when the meal arrived- but more were delivered a couple of mins later. No fuss at all. Pleasant staff. Would go again for a mid week lunch or teatime meal.

I don't expect much from Wetherspoons, cheap and cheerful with a decent universal menu which is great for allergy sufferers like ny daughter, but this place is a lot more run down than most. Food is okay, but I've often received the wrong order. Tables come with extra stickiness, so take a wipe!

Typical Weatherspoons with good value drinks and food (as long as you're expectations aren't to high). I went for a Pizza, based on previous ones at other Weathies which have always been excellent. This one was undercooked with a stodgy base. Friend ordered a Chicken and Beefburger, which arrived cold, and was replaced, not much warmer than the first. Used the app to order which is good, but does leave you wondering how quickly your order will come. Overall I like Weathies, as long as it meets your expectations. I understand that this one is closing soon (2 in town, so no great loss).

A simple ordering error by one of the staff prompted around a 10 minute wait to take back and correct! The food isn't bad but the pub comes across as another "boozers" pub that seems to encourage that type of element!

Better than the other Wetherspoons Pub. I don't know why I liked it. Perhaps the atmosphere was a little more intimate. The first time, on the ground floor, there was a foreign lady, who was talking a little too loudly. The second time, I looked down from the first floor, onto the bar.

This is a small castle ,with a walk around it. It is situated in the centre of Clitheroe, and offers spectacular views if the surrounding area, from the castle wall view. There are ample garden grounds, with a park, football area. And plenty space for picnics.

1st time in here for over 12 months or more really due to covid of the two spoons in warrington I do prefer this one as it is much smaller. The staff tonight have worked extra hard to give us the customer a much better experience. So this is the 1st time for me to enter a public licensed premises since before Christmas when the last lockdown started, this has been a massive boost to my mental wellbeing, you really don't know how much.

Only given 4 stars as the food we had wasn't the best, we ordered steak pudding and chips, to find the pudding wasn't steamed but baked - pastry was hard. Needed a whizz and this was the nearest place I could find. I ordered a drink and whilst waiting for it, I did the do, then went back to the bar. The girl serving asked me was I alright, and I told her why I popped in. She told me that I should have just gone, I didn't need to order a drink. What a refreshing change to hear this. Needless to say, I had a few more in this delightful place!

Nice pub, would say when I went it was rather buzy and alot of the tables had no chairs as people pulled them over to other tables and we struggled to find a seat to eat when other people where not eating. Again as any spoons nice and cheap drink and food. Decor in there is nice and the staff where friendly to, love the app so much easier than standing at a packed bar.

We have just returned from a visit to The Looking Glass in Warrington. The property is located on the edge of the Town Centre. There is no parking on site however, there is a car park 2-3 mins walk away which charges £1 per hour which I felt was reasonable for a town centre. It was our first time here and the place is lovely with two floors and a balcony on the 1st floor. One point to note if you have children, is that initially we sat on the 1st floor and was told shortly after sitting down at a table that children are not allowed on the 1st floor presumably for safety reasons with there being an open balcony. We ordered 3 meals including a children's meal and the service we received was exceptional. The lady who served us was very attentive and thorough. She asked me to check the receipt to ensure all the meals were correct. I noticed an error where I was charged for a Fruit Bag where it is included free with the children's meal and the lady was quick to acknowledge and rectify the mistake. The food arrived less than 10 mins after ordering and was nice and hot. There was a nice friendly atmosphere and I would definitely return to The Looking Glass.

The Looking Glass is one of many Wetherspoons that I've frequented over the years and is far from the worst. I've seen some fairly negative reviews, however I have always found the staff to be polite and attentive, the cutlery clean and the food hot. Some of the folk I've visited with have claimed their food to be a little cooler than they'd like, but nothing so bad that I'd drop a rating below 4 stars. Due to the layout, it does get a little bit cramped on match days or during bigger political moments, but other than that it's rather easy to navigate with a good selection of tables both upstairs and downstairs, with a bar for each floor. I'd talk about the menu but why bother? It's a Wetherspoons. You know what you're getting aye?

Is a bit tough in this pin but it's very cheap. The best food they offer used to be a burger and a point for a fiver. You now should drink Jabberwocky and eat their steaks on a Tuesday evening which is steak night.

You know, it's Spoons, so you probably know what to expect. Nice selection of cheap booze, some crafty beers and quite good food - slightly greasy, as most of typical pub grub, but that's not a problem if you wash it down with some gin and tonic or a pint of ale.

The pub is very popular but my gripe is the staffing levels at times are very poor. On busy times ie when Rugby match days the pub may heaving but only 2 behind the bar. The staff need to note people as they approach the bar or acknowledge them in order to stop people jumping the queue. This is down to staff training. A smile might also help.

The atmosphere is always lovely in here but I always get ignored when standing at the bar waiting to order. It seems that the bar staff here aren't very attentive and don't make much eye contact. Besides that the food is always good, quite a bit of outside seating and there's an upstairs seating area and bar for when it's busy.

Wasn't expecting much from the food as never very good in Wetherspoons, but didn't expect microwaved rubbery pizza and the BBC pulled chicken in the chips was precooked chunks of chicken. The chicken dippers were ok though. Drinks were good, but generally don't eat in Wetherspoons but was so hungry tried to get something they couldn't ruin.

There were Warrington Wolves posters on the walls and information about their forthcoming away matches and coach travel to them. So it may well be a busy rugby league fans pub before home matches.

Went upstairs prepared to have a meal, it was very quiet and no proper menus out on the tables.We didn't even have one on ours.There was a young lady working with a Wetherspoons t shirt on so we asked her if there was s special on on a Mondays,she didn't know and had to go downstairs to ask somebody.Evenyually she came back to say that there was an offer on drinks.We asked when the steak night was on and she wasn't sure about that either.We had to go downstairs to order but the meal was good.
