Fantastic pub food !! We dine here most weeks we have got to say Alison who works there waiting on , serving behind the bar and also helps cooking when short staffed !! Amazingly personality with the customers always makes you welcome and will go out of her way to make sure you have a great experience!! She should in our opinion be the manager at the parr arms !! The actual manager is aloof and formal not much personality! I also owned a bistro in Staffordshire a few years ago , and I know the customers love interacting with the staff and made to feel special as well as great food !!! We dine here most weeks as we are lucky to live close by !! Also Lyn who works there is fab too !!! These 2 ladies bring atmosphere in the pub !! The manager needs to take a leaf out of their book !!! Sunday dinner is fab !! And there pies are scrumptious too !! Highly recommend it ! You won’t be disappointed 😀

Cracking Sunday pub lunch at the Parrs Arms. The group ordered a Sunday roast, beef & ale pie and a gammon steak (as well as a fair few starters and desserts). All the food was fantastic and the staff were great with the toddler at our table! Would very much recommend!!!

We visit the Parr Arms regularly for either just drinks or food as well and every time we can't fault the service!! Even our dog is made welcome when we take her🐾 We really enjoy the nice cosy and relaxed atmosphere and the home cooked food is amazing. The cheese and onion pie is fabulous 👌. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, a lovely lady (sorry don't know her name) always serves us and nothing is too much trouble and she really does go the extra mile. It makes such a difference having a local pub that we can go to that makes you feel welcome and makes you feel you want to return to time after time. We even spent our New Years Eve here and it was such an enjoyable night. Thank you to all the lovely staff at the Parr Arms, you make a fab team ⭐️

This is, with no doubts, my favourite pub in Warrington South to Mercy River. I love atmosphere, surrounding area, staff.. England has changed a lot over last few years and is so heartwarming to find a piece of real England left out there. With british ales, decor, even british diners and entire british taste.

What a lovely little pub. The staff where very friendly and the food was fantastic, it was great portions for a really good price, (not piddly portions that are well over priced). If we are up this way again we would definitely go back. Would recommend everyone to go and eat here.

An amazing experience with Covid19 restrictions in place. The brandy and herb pate and toast starter was delicious followed by a unforgettable rump steak baguette. The staff were absolutely amazing, attentive and represented the Robinsons chain at the highest level. We were that impressed with our experience that we have booked again and will be briging some of our family members along to join us. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience. We have found a great new pub with a fantastic selection of ales and food. Great work.

The staff were very good and changed our main meal when we told them that the cheese, potato and onion pie tasted only of potato and came with chips, so basically potatoes in pastry with chips. The alternative dishes were okay but nothing great. The starters were good and quite large portions. If you are hungry and want to come out full then you’ll probably like it here. If you would rather less with more attention to detail and flavour then try elsewhere. The 3 star rating is reflective of the excellent manner in which the staff accepted and dealt with our complaint, not the quality of the food.

Called in on spec for a meal on my birthday as we hadn't visited this pub for donkey's years! Was pleased to see it hadn't changed or lost any of it's traditional charm. Friendly staff. Wonderful chilli meal. Hand cut chips. Yummy! Love the fact that it's right in the centre of the village. Watch out for the car park tho! Small and can be a bit tricky to manoeuvre if you drive in.

Very good food and service is the order of the day. However, the restaurant is split into two parts: The smaller room, the bar, has a table (11) that is immediately adjacent to the gents lavatory access, which also leads to the rear exit. On a breezy evening, one is exposed to an icy blast every time the exit is used. If we return, we shall insist on being seated in the larger section, which looked more cosy. I have to add that when we complained, we were given an optional table.

Nice pub in a very picturesque position. It is right next to Grappenhall church and there is a cobble street outside. A lovely place to sit outside on a summer's evening. It's not bad in the winter either since they have roaring fires that make it very cozy.

Love the Parr Arms normally but my meal wasn't up to the usual standards. I had liver and bacon with onion gravy. The liver was over cooked so it was very hard and dry, the staff are always lovely. This was the first time that I did not enjoy my meal and we go there regularly.

Nice lunchtime atmosphere with people celebrating before back to work in the morning. Staff attentive and helpful. Also a dog-friendly pub. Only real negative for me is that the food seemed to be the same old chain fodder we are offered at most British pubs these days. I try to seek out places who have at least something Home-made to offer.
