Lovely pub, grate 🍻we were a party of twelve including kids. Stayed for food and beer. Lovely cosy pub, staff mostly young and brilliant, could not do enough for us and made us all feel welcome. Food was amazing and beer cold🍻🍷👍🥳

Absolutely gorgeous pub. The pub itself is hundreds of years old and, from the outside, you can see its age but it is clearly very well-kept and looks the part. Inside is like a gateway to another era, a blast from the past but only in a good way. We were met by an extremely friendly and helpful member of staff who was happy to help in every way possible. The outside seating area is absolutely stunning and ideal for a warm sunny day.
A fantastic selection of local beers and ales plus more modern drinks and the most amazing food ever. Honestly could not recommend this place highly enough!

We had a great Friday night out here as 2 couples dining. Glad we'd booked as all the tables were in use. Very friendly and helpful staff who made this a memorable night. The food choice was simple pub fayre, but all done very well, and good quality too. The crumble dessert with custard - yum! Clean plates from us! Good selection of beers in this JW Lees village pub. I chose and enjoyed the Lees bitter. All in all, food and drink worth the money that didn't break our bank. Will definitely return

Cracking little pub. Friendly and welcoming to visitors and a clear hit with locals. Great selection of drinks, cask ales and lagers. Food was a real high point. Excellent quality. Would probably be worth booking on a busy day. Nice beer garden too as well as a cosy interior.

Great range of ales, extensive menu and lovely staff. Spent some time here after a walk with our 3 greys up to the war memorial.

My friend and I went to the pub yesterday for food before going on to a concert.
We chose food from the Sunday lunch menu, delicious!
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, providing very valuable taxi advice. Highly recommended.

Besides being a very picturesque pub the service and food were first rate. We were a party of six and all the meals were served quickly and were enjoyed by all. Good selection of beers available .

Nice food. I had Liver from the main menu which isn’t seen so often. Well cooked and lots of it. Well done chef.
