Got stuck on the M6 enroute somewhere else. Peed off, we pulled off the motorway and had a lovely meal. Really friendly staff and food was beautiful. Made a disappointing day much better xx

Good atmosphere, hot evening so outside was very busy, with a lot of bikers. Which was cool seeing all motor bikes. Shock when two pints Guinness cost a lot more than in Wetherspoon's. And advertised cask ales, but none were available when we visited. So other half not so happy, he likes a good dark (stout) cask ale.

Best pub lasagne I've ever had. Not far from the hotels down the road and obviously much better. So, if you ever stay in the Holiday Inn or Premier Inn have a 20min walk for decent food and drink choice.

Been a few times now . Food is always awesome. Bar staff are pretty ok . Place is always clean and drinks are good . I do like going there but it can get busy . Been a couple of times when there has been a wedding but always found a table. Might be worth calling to reserve a table b4 you go . It is one of the good pubs and no scrimping . Outside has a decent sized car park. Don't recall seeing much for children but it is a pub after all. There possibly is a children's area I just never seen it . Definitely worth trying if your in Warrington.

Lovely pub, great staff. Even my 85 year old mum likes it !!!!!!! Had the fish goujons 'bar bites' x2, side orders of chunky chips and cheesy garlic bread, all good portions, nicely presented and beautifully cooked. Nice pint of San Miguel on a hot day went down nicely as well.

I actually love going to this pub! The food is lovely, not had a bad meal here yet to date. Goid choice on menu and reasonably priced, the twist on chicken in a basket is my fave. Great, friendly service, Covid measures were in place on my last visit with track and trace being completed which was reassuring .

Service was good and staff pleasant but food was just okay. I ordered Moroccan lamb which is usually a lamb stew flavoured with Moroccan spices but this was chunks of roast lamb and gravy. There was also a thick piece of skin and fat around the edge of the slices. Those who had the pie weren't impressed with it. But the person who had the veggie burger enjoyed it and said it was flavourful.

We stopped by on our way to lake district and were amazed by this gem in Warrington. Food was just fantastic. We didn’t wait too long. We had soup of a day. Starter with goat cheese and burger with chicken. I highly recommend this pub for its good and lovely people working here. Thank you for a great day.

Nice ordinary pub. Friendly helpful people. Had a BLT with chips and salad. Nice and fresh. The beer garden isn't really a garden but a bit of the car park. Needed to use that as I had 2 dogs with me. If you're. Looking for olde world's, not for you but otherwise, good.

Nice large pub on a main road with large car park + outdoor seating. Food good and staff polite. Hand sanitizer on entrance and staff + customers wearing masks and a few large booths which gave you that extra separation from others. However, it just didn't feel homely but that's our personal choice. Decor was ok although the toilets were clean they need a good revamp as they were old fashioned. We did intend to go to another Rope & Anchor near Dunham Massey but put wrong post code in sat nav so perhaps I was expecting a homely country pub, which this isn't but it seemed busy with locals + other customers.

Came across this pub by accident while collecting are new car close by,we were pleasantly greeted and seated orded 3 steak pie chips and mushy peas,when they arrived wow nice presentation so we dug straight in wow the chips are amazing the pie and peas were good but the chips are to die for,as usual ended up spilling gravy down my top but to hell with it ,only thing it could do with was a slice of chunky butterd bread to dip into the gravy which may of been available but we were in a rush to collect our car we won in a raffle from redline competitions a couple of miles away, will love to return when not in a rush,once again them chips are great dont change them.

I've eaten there twice both meals were good, they have a pool table in good condition, a gambler and have big screens and sporting events too, ample parking, eating area, good outside space with shelter, on a busy dual carriageway, not that you'd notice, drinkers and ladies that lunch, weekend and evening crowd, no trouble and interesting characters, staff could be more enthusiatic

Definitely got a new chef at long long last used to eat here a lot but food got that bad we stopped but when new management took over thought things would improve it didn't but even though its taken them all this time to fix the problem they have food much much better went in yesterday saw the food coming out so decided to risk it glad we did it was first class and it's been a long time since I've seen so many people eating so will be back I'm just astonished it's taken si long to recifify the problem that was staring them in the face it shows that a good chef is worth his weight in gold he's definitely a keeper if he asks for a pay rise give it him he's worth it
