⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Traditional Country pub, set in the heart of aldenham. Cosy atmosphere, with a smile on every member of staff. We attended the steak night at the round bush & I must say this was no disappointment. Beautiful cut of a T-Bone steak cooked to perfection. Shannon & the team were very welcoming at all times & the service was second to none. Highly recommend this traditional cosy country pub…..

Our first time here and very impressed by the staff, food and drinks. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in even though we hadn’t booked on a Friday night. The very pleasant waitress brought us menus and drinks as soon we were seated. All the staff maintained a high level of attentiveness throughout the evening. An old friend joined us shortly after we arrived and again great service from the staff. We shared two starters, the pate and a generous amount of shrimp. The rib eye steaks were excellent and cooked exactly as requested. My wife said her meal was also very good. The deserts was great and the cappuccinos nice and hot. The Directors beer was excellent and complimented the meal. I’d have no hesitation in returning, we all enjoyed a very nice evening with great food and exceptionally good service. Very nice country pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Such lovely landlords Tom and Sue and their daughter Shannon who runs the pub. Excellent service which was attentive but left us to chat to our hearts' content. What an amazing evening I had on Wednesday. Eight of us had the most amazing food and oh what fun we entered their monthly quiz the atmosphere was fantastic so wonderful just to be able to laugh and have fun again. The service was wonderful the food all came out at the same time everybody loved it thank you thank you thank you the Roundbush Pub. I cannot wait to come back. Table now booked for 10. Also the gardens were beautiful and looking forward to bringing my grandchildren this week. The kids menu looks great and the play area is so lovely. Recommend the Roundbush ... A lovely local pub and it’s not part of a chain which is nice. Had a lovely couple of pints of Aspell cider and was served by a really friendly barmaid. Sat in the beautiful garden which had lots of shade. Didn’t eat so can’t pass comment on food. But ambience, service and quality of pint poured was top notch. Thank you kindly.

Impulse trip out for dinner took us to The Round Bush. We ordered the haddock and chips with peas. The portions were huge. I honestly was not expecting it. The food was sooo good. Fresh tasting, hot and so filling. Definitely worth a visit. Coming back with the family for Sunday roast to see how that tastes 😋

Absolutely love this place. From the wonderful service, delicious food and the brilliant kid-friendly garden. We just had my son's 2nd birthday party here with lots of family and friends. The portion sizes of my pre-order were amazing! We were all so stuffed!! We were so well looked after and everyone was commenting on how much of a great place this is. I will definitely be planning more events here. I also need to treat myself to their wonderful roast as a friend of mine told me it was one of the best she had ever had! My parents were also raving about the breakfast... so I guess I'll have to do breakfast, lunch AND dinner to get the full experience :D

The Round Bush pub is just 20mins drive from London (Via M1) The area is quiet, once you exit from M1 towards the pub you might think you are in the country side but not, you can see greenery along the way. We went here on a nice Saturday evening, (I phone to booked ahead). They have a back garden with ample of tables and benches. Inside is a decent space. One way system and social distancing was observed, sanitizer everywhere The food was very nice, tasty and My son said the fish fingers was “yummy”. the steak was juicy, My Haddock fish and chips I can say it was delicious! We didn’t order any desserts as We are very full. The place was clean,they have toilet for wheelchair users. And dog friendly. I gave this a five star is because of the play ground. The staff are very nice and friendly too. If you want to getaway from city life and looking for a cool chillaxing place to have lunch, dinner or just a pint of beer, this is a perfect place.

First went to “The three compasses” where the owner didn’t allow us in without any reason and was grumpy to us and told us there’s no food for us and that we have to leave a certain way out of the restaurant premises? Then we came here and we’re greeted with open arms by the owner and his daughter who treated us amazingly. The food was so tasty too, feels like home. Service not as good as usual. Some how it was my friend's fault that he ended up with two bar staff serving him and he hadnt paid for all the drinks. One of our party had the wrong meal delivered and had to wait for his to be cooked while we ate ours.

Friendly and welcoming service. All the dishes were plentiful and well prepared. Nothing warmed up in the microwave here. There is parking outside and a dining area inside. The Round Bush is cosy but not cramped. It has a country pub feel with fireplaces and traditional bar. We felt we could take our time and not be rushed.

I've been to this pub 2 or 3 times in the past (pre-pandemic) and again last Saturday. As per previous experience, the food was really lovely and the lady serving us was delightful. Fantastic. We were so well looked after. We were visiting the Warner Brothers Studio Tour in Leavesden later that afternoon and wanted a late lunch early tea for our son's birthday. The staff decorated the table for him including a badge (which I had been able to get for him) and balloons. It really made him feel special, without being over the top. A great dog friendly pub with resident do Max(Maxine) Food is served efficiently and great for lunch or dinner. Has great garden for outdoor eating in the summer. Food is affordable and well presented. Staff are always friendly, they are always smiling and just a breath of fresh air.

Came in here for a quick bite after some foot golf, very welcoming and hospitable staff, were shown straight to a table after ordering some drinks, of which there was a good range of beers and ales, the menu was extensive and we ordered burgers, which were very good, the other food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked of high quality also, the décor was very traditional, low ceilings and an old feel which really added to the atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

The perfect local. Doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. Forget the nonsense about the hygiene rating. That was before the present owners and many many years ago. Well the pub is in a charming rural setting and the staff were very professional and helpful. I can’t understand why beautiful buildings like this steeped in antiquity often retaining their aged settles have to introduce laminated or wooden flooring remove any semblance of antiquity, paint the walls in anodyne grey and have these naked bulbs with orange filaments giving a total utilitarian and cold ambiance to the interior, why??!! if they retained the originality of the building with chintz, soft lighting and carpets it would never go out of fashion. In my opinion this relentless modernisation has become a plaque in too many glorious old pubs.

I would improve a bit the service, with a dedicated person staying only on the outside, to speed up with orders. Anyway, it was a nice and relaxing experience. This is going to be our new go to place! We had decided to go for a pub lunch, kids in tow. I had driven past the sign for The Round Bush many times on my way home from work. Finally has a chance to go there. The pub has parking and a lovely beer garden with a great play area for the children. As we had not booked there we no tables available inside so opted to sit in the beer garden. No problem, especially as the news was delivered with great customer service. And, that sets the tone for the visit. All the staff are excellent. Really friendly and absolutely know what fantastic customer experience is. The food was really good. Worth every penny and brought out without a long wait. Well done to the folks at The Round Bush. We will return!

So the vegan bangers and mash could be veganised by substituting the sausages for vegan sausages and removing the mash completely 🤔. The veggie burgers should be vegan to give vegans a second choice of main at least. No vegan deserts and only soya milk for coffee. Decor was disappointing and characterless for a country pub. Staff were polite and the chilli sin carne was nice. Veganism is on the rise and this tired pub needs a kick up the posterior to support people who choose to make ethical choices for animals and the climate crisis.

Pleasant and unpretentious country pub. Although it feels a bit weird saying "country pub" for a place (just) inside the M25. Staff were very nice and welcoming and the food arrived very promptly. Unfussy pub grub, none of that gastro nonsense here. Nice old pub carpet - you know the sort of thing. Beer from Charles Wells (Bombardier etc) and in good condition.

Excels with bookings, staff and swift menu service which is good for mid day service. Shame about parking which is not helped by poor customer usage and muddy country lane environment. Wear walking footwear or avoid parking opposite or dont use busy periods. Will def. call regularly and recomend!

The pub is a hidden gem, away from the main road between Bushey and Radlet. It is cosy and the food is delicious, however it can feel a little overcrowded on busy days. The staff are really friendly and very helpful I would definitely recommend the roast beef.
