Reviews of The Drumming Snipe
박.
I really love this place.
The atmosphere is cozy, all staffs are so nice and kind, they are always smiling and foods are awesome! Their menus are amazingly creative. I try ox tongue as a starter and rabbit leg as a main dish.
I promise to be a regular customer. I am willing to recommend this restaurant to my friends. 🤗

Absolutely fantastic, from the food to the staff. A truly lovely menu, great to see such a variety of game on offer. This is a place where the staff really care, a real credit to the pub. A hidden Gem in Surrey, I will most certainly be coming back!
L. T.
We chose to come here for our anniversary as we had had such a lovely time for my birthday back in January, so happy we did!! The atmosphere was so lovely, cosy and warm on a very autumnal day. Service was beautiful, all the staff were incredibly warm, polite, professional and attentive. The food was amazing! As a vegetarian it’s really hard to find somewhere that really makes an effort to make vegetarian food a little bit special and sophisticated. We were also given a really special little sweet treat to celebrate! Thank you!

I've been here twice now. Both times were very pleasant. Nice food and great service. They have served me one the of the best cocktails (and the worst) and overcharged me on one occasion by £70 and I'm still not complaining. I urge people to try the Drumming Snipe on a nice day. Get a seat under their canopy in the garden and take your time as it's not one to rush. The oysters are decent and fresh. The mussels are full of flavor. The chicken is cooked perfectly. Shepherds pie was to die for. All the food I've eaten here has been fantastic and I'm betting their steak is going to be really good judging by the menu. My favorite cocktail here I think is called the hennessy sour. Realllly tasty drink. I would absolutely avoid the English julip. It has to be the worst cocktail I've ever had. It's like a cup of mouldy water with mint on top...no offense to the maker. Big thanks to Toby the bar keep who was extremely polite and very friendly.

Enjoyed an excellent family meal. Service was friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. Not cheap but well cooked and locally sourced ingredients. Hogs Back Brewery T.E.A. on handpump.

Would absolutely recommend! We just came back from there. My friend and I had the set menu. The oysters were huge and delicious, we then had the plaice and mussels! Both phenomenal! My son had sausage and mash and even that was outstanding! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you

Our expectations were so much higher after reading the reviews. We appreciate times are hard for the hospitality so we would have been happy with the prices if it had showed a better sense of value for money in terms of size and taste. The lobster was small and covered with a garlic butter; it was so strong we couldn't taste the lobster any more! Having said that, oysters at £1.00 each was good value.

Stumbled across this place looking for a pre theatre lunch on Thursday. The service was second to none and very welcoming. The food is extremely high standard as is the wine list. A great find for us, loved the converted horse boxes in the garden, and even the small details such as the wallets used to present the bill..
A. D.
We went for a family Sunday roast tempted by the 30% off food bill voucher as this place is known to be pricey. Whilst the service was slow the food was excellent, the roast beef and chicken were outstanding and the sides we also top notch, well done with the roast potatoes! Not to be left out were the deserts, the sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate tarts were stand outs.
Not sure I'd pay the full price for the meal but with a steady stream of 20% and 30% off vouchers we will be regular patrons!
I would have given 5 stars but when we wait over 5mins for the sides after the main plates were delivered to the table then I have to knock a star off.

A really great find that, for some reason, we've never stopped in at but just looked really inviting as we were driving passed, with it's lovely flower displays out front ... and then as soon as you walk into the garden, it just got lovelier with a fantastic covered area, cosy blankets, great outdoor heaters and lovely little nooks and crannies inside the pub and around the garden. All the staff were super welcoming, friendly and offered great advice on food and cocktail choices. The food itself was fabulous, but the cocktails were seriously epic and can't wait to go back to try more of the menu!

Always have a great time at this place. The food is excellent and the staff are great, in particular the assistant manager (I think she is Polish), so friendly, kind and always has a smile. The South African manager is also great and friendly. It's the staff who will make or break a restaurant. People like that are an asset to this pub and I think it deserves to be called out. Yes, the food is fantastic (pricey, but worth it), but the service with a smile adds to the experience and makes us always want to return. I feel lucky to call this my local! :)
B. M.
Great pub with fancy eats and outdoor drinking area. I stopped by for a Sunday roast, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The pork was good, the crackling was top tier, but I have to give the crown to their duck-fat roast potatoes.
Usually a pub roast comes with potatoes that fall short of home quality - either soggy and anemic looking, or dry from being kept under a heat lamp for hours. Not these. They were crispy and seasoned to perfection on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Compliments to the chefs on what was by far the best pub roast I've ever had.
J. S.
Lovely decor and amazing food, but pricey! We called in on a spur of the moment and hadn't realised this was a special occasion only kind of pub. £9+ for 250ml glass of wine. Where have decent reasonably priced pubs disappeared to!

Great menu of fresh produce(oysters), high quality, great service

Update: 4th June.
Went for lunch. They had a special jubilee menu of British seafood and sparkling wine. Amazing! Fantastic food and charming service as ever.
Went for Sunday lunch, food was amazing as ever. Thank you to James and Dominica who looked after us. We had a lovely time.
l.
The outdoor area is really lovely - decorated nicely, with blankets in case it's cold & areas that are both shaded & in the sun. It's the best part about this pub!
Most of the servers were kind and friendly.
Unfortunately I got food poisoning from 1 of the oysters here (& was violently sick in their establishment a few hours after dining) - hence the 3 stars. But the management team handled it *extremely* well. They conducted an investigation, refunded me my portion of the meal, & were very apologetic.
I know the deal, having worked in food before: it only takes 1 small piece of bad raw seafood to cause an ordeal. So I was appreciative of their communication afterwards & their mgr was very open.
Generally out of 6 of us dining though - only 1 really raved about his meal (he had the trout). The rest of us found it to be just OK (they ordered the 1/2 lobster & burger). I'd come back to thank them for the handling of the situation, & may give the food another try - with a pass next time on the £1 oyster deal :)
S. L.
Had sardine for starter and it was rather fishy with the squid sauce. Roast beef for Sunday roast was very average. Roast potatoes and boiled vegetables good but the beef can be better. Being a pub there was selection of beer.
P. G.
Lunch today was really great. Everything beautifully cooked
and served with a smile. My dessert of Roasted plums with Marscapone was delightful..
K. F.
Only stopped for a drink but it’s a beautiful spot with very attentive staff. Hope to come back for food soon - which looked delicious (although from the menu perhaps not many vegan options!)
J. G.
Steak was really good but. However a foul aroma of sewage seemed to have filled the restaurant which was very off putting whilst eating. However I Would go back. I would rather they increase the menu price rather than tell me a meal must require a side dish which was a separate cost aswell. Staff were very nice.
A. S.
Great food and service, however slightly limited menu and quite expensive. A relatively small amount of parking can catch you out at busy times
A.
Staff are a bit clueless and food is fine, not stunning but good pub food. The place itself is very nicely decorated and has a lovely feel to it.
L. B.
The drumming snipe is a lovely pub with excellent service staff and great (vegan nut roast was delicious).
Dogs are welcomed (outside only) with treats and a water bowl.
Lovely experience all around.
L. O.
Amazing food, fantastic service and beautifully maintained environment. Can’t wait to come back!
J. W.
Professional service with an excellent menu all within a comfortable ambiance
A. H.
Lovely pub, delicious food. Had the bargain set lunch. Would be paying twice as much for food of this standard in a London restaurant. I'll be visiting again next week!
J. C.
Very good restaurant, interesting selection of dishes. Good service and excellent atmosphere. Food is well cooked and well presented.
J. K.
Lovely setting. Very attentive and friendly staff. Plus the food was gorgeous with a lot of choice of interesting dishes
C. C.
We had a wonderful time at the Drumming Snipe last night. We only live across the road and were so excited about being able to walk to a decent pub. The snipe lived up to our expectations food was wonderful and unique with a great choice of gluten free dishes. Cocktails made by Manuel tasty and decor cosy. We found out towards the end of the night that the bar area is dog 🐕 friendly and our two dogs joined us for a drink. Maddie gave fabulous and chatty service with a personal touch. And all the team were polite and well presented. Well done James and team we look forward to seeing you soon.
M. R.
Food was pretty good but, I felt, over priced - maybe this is just a Slurrey thing, near enough to London to inflate prices but too far from Town to actually be able to justify it. I think I'm just cross & really dislike Cities.
H. B.
We ordered the cook-at-home Wellington Box for fathers' day and were blown away. The quality of the food was exceptional and the cooking instructions were clear and simple. It was fantastic value for a very special meal for four adults.
N. M.
Excellent. Creative menu, well presented, generous portions and very tasty. Efficient, pleasant, helpful waiting staff.
E. G.
Lovely covered outdoor space, made inviting and comfortable with heaters and lighting. Staff are very welcoming and a very good friendly service. Food excellent
B. S.
Excellent food, attentive staff, lovely manageress, music so interacting we had to Shazam it! A long way from home but we’ll try and come back.
J. P.
Went to this establishment to meet up with friends and meals were delicious. Well done to all staff
J. L.
One of my favourites.very friendly staff and an awsome place to be.food is great aswell.well worth a visit....
K. J.
The pub itself is extremely clean, staff are very attentive.
Would highly recommend except the location is not in Woking Town Centre.
r. a.
I had a fabulous dinner there on Friday but a couple of weeks back we had a patchy lunch. The food is always fantastic but the service can be slow. Also please stop using metal wine measures for sparkling wine :)
T. E.
Came for Sunday lunch and were warmly greeted at the door by Dominika who took care of us for the entire time. We had a dog and a member of our party was in a wheelchair. The team catered for all our needs and it was some of the best service I've ever had in a Surrey pub. Food was great and we will definitely return soon!
G. J.
Really delicious menu and cosy pub. The fried pickles were particularly good. Good children's menu too. They have a lovely outdoor area which we will revisit in the summer.
R. C.
Really great pub, food and atmosphere. Had a lovely meal and have no complaints. Would note that this pub is not a greene king pub, it is just in a green king building!
W. T.
Good food, unfortunately quite a few menu items not available.
B. C.
Excellent! This was our second visit and was perhaps even better than the first. Nice to have a choice and a few unusual ingredients. All cooked and presented very well. Excellent and knowledgeable service. If I had one slight gripe it would be the rather expensive extras, such as bread but it would not deter us from a return visit.
S. D.
Wow. Just wow. Went last night with my brother. The food was sensational and the service was amazing. Our table attendant; Dominica was soooo accommodating and serve us with a huge smile. She was amazing start to finish we were not rushed and we taken care of so well. I have been here before and they never fail to pull out all the stops for their customers. Thank you for a wonderful pre Christmas treat. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New year. We had the goose breast, crab, monkfish scampi, sirloin steak and cauliflower steak. The espresso martini was almost as good as mine just kidding, it was better! Thank you!!
E. C.
A great place to go for a special meal. The presentation and taste of the food is great. Not the cheapest, but worth it when you want some really nice food. Very well judged service, attentive but not too invasive. Great place.
D. M.
Received a warm welcome on our arrival and were led to a covered area with tables well spaced apart. There was heating which warmed the chilled evening air. The menu wasn't too vast and had a number of 'interesting' dishes. Service was friendly and slick, and the food we selected was really well cooked. All in all, a very pleasant experience and The Drumming Snipe definitely deserves a return visit.
N.
Very nice vibe/atmosphere inside. Food was delicious. Good selection of wine and staff were very friendly. Will be back !
S. K.
Having heard many positive comments about this venue, we dropped in for an unplanned snack break to check it out for ourselves. Pleased to say they lived up to their reputation. The service was quick and all staff were friendly and keen to serve. We only had limited food but if that was anything to go by, we are in for a treat when we return for a full meal. Their own Drumming Snipe ale is pretty good too.
N. P.
Is it this the best restaurant in Woking? Quite possibly. I can't say for sure, as I haven't eaten everywhere, but it's very very good and likely sits near the top.
Had a fantastic dinner here earlier this week for my wife's birthday. Super service and great tasting dishes. Scallops, Potted Rabit, Ribeye on the bone with bone marrow, Hake in a beautiful sauce, all delicious, from an interesting and diverse menu.
This is definitely the next level up from your normal gastropub. It's reflected in the prices mind you, but if they keep the quality and consistency up, I can see this place getting a Rosette or two a couple of years time.
Keep up the good work!

Cozy decor and spacious interior , great food, lots of free parking right around the corner from entrance. Our waiter was super attentive, fast and professional, the sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch ice cream and caramel sauce is out of this world. The hostess was friendly and helpful, booking is necessary as it gets quite busy at times. Will definitely recommend , except it’s not really child friendly. Dress casual- smart and wear some lipgloss.
A. O.
What a great place, warmest friendliest service, excelllent layout and decor and lovely tasty food, just perfect! Went on Sunday for lunch, really enjoyed the "snacks," the roasts went down very well as did the starters, the staff were very attentive and professional, this is a great find and when I'm back in the area I shall be booking again! Thanks team for a lovely experience.
B. E.
Great food. No one rushing us and looked after my mum when she felt a bit ill. Venue is great and very dog friendly.
C. J.
Great and interesting food. Service was excellent. Very impressed.
D. H.
Interesting and unusual menu and not your usual pub grub. If it were not quite so pricey particularly their own Drumming Snipe ale I would have given this five stars for our meal but I believe they do have some cheaper dining options
T. B. F.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Lunchtime set menu is fantastic value.
All 11 of us had an unhurried and relaxed lunch. Thanks to the team at the Drumming Snipe for making this a very special birthday lunch.
Will be back again soon

Went for lunch and had top class imaginative menu. Excellent value for money with excellent service. One of my favourite restaurants
M. S.
Superb dinner last night. My son has a new baby so we opted to eat outdoors. Tented area, well lit, heaters. Great service. Delightful, thank you.
S. L.
Good food and pleasant service, although quite pricy for the quality of some of the dishes.
J. H.
Good food, friendly staff . Was more experience then expected especially when the service charge was added on top .
c.
Came here for birthday dinner and it was the perfect place for such an occasion. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. We sat outside in a well covered and heated area which was lovely. Blankets on the chairs in case you get cold added an extra special touch. Highly recommend.
E. M.
Such a lovely spot. The food is consistently stunning, the staff are very welcoming and the atmosphere is totally relaxing. We've sat both inside and outside (outside is great in the cooler evenings as it's covered and has heaters). Would highly recommend.
M. W.
I enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant. The ambience of the outdoor marquee really is welcoming with a significant effort made to be so and the staff competent and friendly.
The food... well, I can't say I didn't enjoy it as that would be untrue but for some reason I was left a little bit unfulfilled. We collectively tried a number of dishes, ranging from a fresh tomato and lovage soup, through terrines and sardines to burgers and mussels. They were all "nice" but something (and, I'm sorry to say, I really can't put my finger on exactelt WHAT) just made each dish dissapointing in some way.
S. W.
Good food. Staff very attentive. A very good experience
J. S.
Good service and delicious mains. Desserts were the only let down as didn't live up to their potential (black forest sundae had no cherries and salted caramel tart wasn't salty!). Despite that I'd definitely return in the future.
J. G.
Had a couple of the snack dishes which were really tasty. The person serving was trying a little too hard to sell us drinks, then food, then dessert which is a little offputting, but otherwise was a great pitstop and would recommend
W. P.
This is the most authentic place I've eaten in anywhere near this area! The food is excellent and the service is exceptionally professional and friendly (especially if you're lucky enough to get Christophe!). Well worth it.
A. v. P.
We had such a good experience on Saturday here; the food was great, the covered outdoor area has been made so festive and cosy. The staff were absolutely wonderful and accommodating and very conscious around cleanliness and covid.
J. H.
Excellent Sunday roast. Succulent beef nice yorkshires with pigs in blankets, good gravy and roasties. Veg were all overcooked for my liking. Presentation and service both excellent. The manager, Manuel, gave excellent descriptions of the selection of ales. He took great care over us and was very welcoming and took pains to entice us to visit again with tales of Friday night and Saturday night specials....very tempting. Recommended
A. T.
Excellent pub! We had the set menu for £19 and had three delicious courses. Great choice and unusual options. Service was great - we were served by Briony and she looked after us so well.
I. W.
Excellent service and fantastic food. Certainly the best pub in the Woking area. We go there as often as we can.
J. C.
Best roast I have had in ages, didn't rate it highly first time we went as I think we caught the end of a service and the food wasn't great but this time round it really impressed.
m. d.
We had an excellent meal. Great burger and lovely pudding. The service could not have been better.
C. V.
Just popped in for a coffee whilst my car was being washed opposite. Really friendly staff and lovely coffee with dairy alternative.
D. S.
Lovely decor and overall ambience let down by multiple flies in the windows and on food served. Blaring too fast jazz music not conducive to relaxed dining. Food was a let down, the double cheese burgers were over done and dry without any moisture. Side salad was strange and the risotto was overly greasy. The dessert was served with a fly on it which was changed for another one. Overall feel let down and overcharged for what was served to us.
R. D.
Went for a Sunday Roast and I was blown away!! Best roasts potatoes ever! The team here have done a great job at getting outside COVID safe seating very well organised, i felt safe and well looked after. The service was of the highest standard and we will definitely go again. So why only 4 stars and not 5, for me the wine was slightly pricey for what it was, and the choice of beers was good but not 5 star good. That is just my preference though as i am a bit of a sad case when it comes to wine and craft beer, the wine in another top Sunday roast pub slightly edges it for me there so as bad as I feel, i have to stick with 4 stars (why cant we do 4.5 Google?) The food and service is 5 stars every time.
g. t.
Real nice pub, didn't eat there but the food I saw looked very appetising, one problem we had was the night we went there they had no real ale due to delivery probs. Otherwise a nice pub
R.
Food and service excellent.
High end restaurant standard.
K. W.
Great venue for private party. Friendly and helpful staff, food delightful and amazing atmosphere
B.
A high end pub with industrial style interior and a pub garden with horse boxes that make for an unusual but interesting seating area. Lovely food using seasonal ingredients to create dishes that you wouldnt usually find in a pub but are a delicious suprise. Friendly staff who are welcoming, especially the bar tender Liam who make delicious cocktails and ice coffees.
C. A.
Looking for somewhere to take my mother in law for lunch, I chose The Drumming Snipe based on the name alone.
What a treat! A seasonal menu, with surprising combinations and delightful staff. Lovely British cuisine. Thank you
H. H.
Absolutely love this pub! Great team and great food. Well worth a visit!
There's always something vegetarian on the menu, and good prices for what you get! 👍🏼
E. C.
Nice decor. Slow to get our food. The burger was disappointing for the price - bit dry and cheap fake burger cheese. Staff very friendly.
C. R.
Good gastro bub. Nice food and good service. Great deal on Travelzoo.
P. R.
Exceeded our high expectations with varied and extensive menu supported by very attentive service. Will definitely be back to try other dishes and enjoy spacious and character interior.
G. S.
The staff is very, very friendly and suoer nice!
The food was ok (hence the 4 star), expected more based in reviews.
The atmosphere is great and the place is super clean. It is a very good place to grab some food or catch up with friends
A. B.
Set meals only but good value for the quality and size you get . We had mussels from Cornwall and I can honestly say they were the best id ever had .
Very clean and Covid sorted. Loved it !
M. d. l. O.
A special birthday. Lovely place with a fantastic chef. The food is of very good quality and the staff lovely. Unpretentious pub/restaurant offering 5 star services. Luckily during lockdown they will offer a takeaway service during weekends
V. F.
Very much enjoyed our lunch here yesterday. The menu is interesting and the food is tasty. Lovely staff who are very helpful. Would definitely visit again.
R. B.
Great place to eat good fresh produce. Fantastic facilities beautiful clean toilets. Our family really enjoyed a wonderful dinner. A big thank you to all the staff.
c. l.
I really thought my local the "Mayford Arms" was finished :( ......but no:):) this is good.. serves food and gooood beer whats not to like :):):)
J. P.
What a fantastic dining experience from booking to leaving! The service is extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Our dinner was delicious. The ambience spot on. We will be back!
A. S.
We have eaten at the Greene Oak in Windsor quite a few times and as this restaurant is owned by the same people we thought we'd give it a try.
The decor is great and the staff friendly, welcoming and helpful but unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations.
We had the scallops to start, which are expensive at £14. They come with a sweetcorn puree which is a bit bland and the scallops were also a bit tasteless. I think they were probably a bit overcooked and would have benefitted from being cooked quicker over a higher heat.
Had the plaice to follow with a side of cabbage and this was also overcooked and a bit tasteless.
Chips were fantastic though.
S. R.
Amazing food, very well presented and tasty. Staff very welcoming, organised and helpful. Beautiful restaurant and garden. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.
B. H.
First visit to The Drumming Snipe & we plan to be regulars. The food was superb, we particularly liked our starters the crispy squid. James/Maria & a girl from South Africa were charming, good humoured & professional. Great selection of wines & beers. We shall be telling our friends about this excellent establishment.
d. w.
Excellent food and service. Will be back next time we travel from Yorkshire
S. K.
Lovely pub. Managed to squeeze in a table for dinner at the last minute. Friendly staff and heavenly food. It's not typical pub grub or even gastropub style food but rather it borders on fine dining! Allbin all great experience and will be returning
L. S.
Top class food, a beautiful room, and really professional service - this is a step up for Surrey. The menu is much more interesting than your standard pub fare, and is perfectly executed. Hugely recommended.
k. c.
Good food, nice decor
Big down side is the service- staff very friendly but unfortunately clueless.
I have been waiting for ages for someone to take our orders even staff passed by few times looking at our table.
12.5% service charges added to our final bill for service which was very poor is not good.
Next door pub offers more pleasant experience- food and atmosphere for less money too.
C. G.
Amazing food and excellent service. Best roast dinner I ever had.
I. R.
Top restaurant with helpful and attentive servers. Food was excellent. One of the best around if you want more than just the standard gastro pub food. Highly recommended.
G. C.
It's great when a pub makes an effort!
A week back, I rocked up in the car park of a pub that will remain nameless, they were running a service in an open garden with no effort to make it work... Needless to say I just drove off! Not at the Drumming Snipe... clever marquee arrangement, good heating, good lighting, hand sanitisers on the tables, blankets (which were unecessary!) and not forgetting great food and great service. Great job!
I'd have scored a 5, however the yorkie's in the roast took the edge (just the edge!) off an otherwise excellent experience!
K. O.
Throughly enjoyed a dinner meal at the Drumming Snipe as a Travelzoo special. Excellent, high quality menu and very high standard of discreetly attentive service. Definitely recommend this venue.
I. M.
Recently refurbished gastro pub. Very nice food and good service.
E. a.
We went on Sunday and enjoyed a very good roast, I think the quality was a way above a pub standard. Recommended place, I'll surely come back again!
P. S.
Excellent service, great food and tasteful decor. We ordered a selection of bar snacks/starters which were well presented and very tasty. The staff are professional yet friendly. We will be definitely be returning.
S. B.
Greta food and drinks, make sure you are clear with dietary requirements and allergies as my partner received a fish piece in her fried pickles portion. This was rectified swiftly and the rest of the experience was fantastic.
J. A.
Had a meal here tonight. Covid-19 procedures in place and felt pretty safe. Service excellent and food delicious. My only complaint..... £12 for a large glass of dry Rose wine! Disgraceful! Had 3 glasses.....£36! Extortionate! Would put me off being a regular visitor.
V. l. p.
Father days meal, the atmosphere is really good, the service from entering the restaurant to finishing our meal, was outstanding, the staff are really welcoming, always smiling and very helpful, the food was awesome, the afternoon was fun. book a table as soon as you can..
C. R.
Lovely pub friendly mostly dining area few tables by the bar for a neck oil
R. S.
A lovely first experience. We'd not had an evening out since February and this was a great experience. The place was very Covid aware and we felt relaxed. With attentive staff and great food we'll be back soon!
C. H.
Superb food and the most pleasant of staff. Thank you.
P. C.
Fantastic gem of a restaurant.
Great service and atmosphere, unusual menu.
Large covered outdoor area
Recommend the goat 😋
We will certainly be going back
D. A.
James does a great pub, dine a cut above the rest!.
B. H.
Excellent food! Our fourth visit and we've always had great service. Steak tartare was superb. Not cheap but you get what you pay for - top quality
M. S.
Really good food. Had tried them once for lunch pre lockdown while this relatively new restaurant was still finding its feet. Then, the food was a bit underwhelming. On this occasion, taking advantage of the new Govt scheme, dinner for four was really very good indeed. The crispy squid and beef shin roquettes were sensational. Mains of roast chicken, plaice, fish and chips and the burger were all very good. Desserts of sticky toffee pudding and peach and almond tart were also very good. Service was friendly and no issues with regard to Covid safety. Would strongly recommend trying this place.

Food was very nice service was good but a very lot of money for what we had will not be going back soon better prices to be elsewhere
M. G.
Lovely service, excellent food, huge portions. The portion size, although many may like it, stopped us having a pudding, which was a shame. We had to take our leftovers home.

I would recommend The Drumming to anyone. The staff are incredibly attentive and humours throughout your time there. The food was wonderful. The roasts in particular are worth the visit alone!
K. L.
Gorgeous food in generous portions. Staff were all helpful and efficient. Good atmosphere.

Although I have lived in Woking since November 1974, this was the first time I have visited The Drumming Snipe. It was suggested as a Sunday Roast venue by very good friends of mine and could not have been a better choice. Good food, good service and good company - excellent all round. As McArthur said - I will be back!

I eat here relatively regularly as it is my "local" despite there being a few gastro pubs closer - but none are as nice!

Quite expensive. Cost.me £16.50 for a double vodka and a pint.
Lovely beer garden, lovely staff. Good customer service, very clean

Nice location, great pub/restaurant, BUT unfortunately the roast wasn't up to its usually standard, however the staff did what they could to please us with extra potatoes and vegetables....

Amazing beef roast I’ve ordered today as take away and Maddie have offered an amazing service ! Very polite and helpful ! I was told they were going to open a Mayford shop at the pub where you could find strictly necessary items ! I will definitely order again and looking forward to the shop to opening !

My wife and I were sat at a table which more like a busy corridor with a constant flow of people walking past, in front of our table was a bucket catching drips of water from the light fitting hanging from the ceiling above it.
Service was slow, fish starter was disappointing pork terrine was rock hard, not a very nice experience
B. W.
Lovely food, nice and spacious and the staff were very good

The restaurant is lovely and the service was good. We had a Travelzoo voucher and were given a ‘Travelzoo menu’ different from the normal a la carte menu. I asked for a table near a window but was given a table deep in the restaurant near the door to the kitchen and near the staff ‘work station’. This was my first time eating in a restaurant since ‘lockdown’, no windows were open, but the tables were well spaced and the staff wore masks. The main courses had very limited vegetables and you were obliged to order an extra side of veg. The wine is expensive. It would be nice to re visit this restaurant and sample their normal menu.
R. S.
Very nice place, first for a Travelzoo meal deal. Great food and staff. Will definitely visit again.
Y. K.
Nice service and kind staffs. Also food taste so good!
Good place for Sunday outing.

Second visit to the Snipe for lunch, menu was an amazing choice at £16 for two courses although sides are extra and the mains come without vegetables. We both had devilled cod tounges to start and one plaice fillet and one stewed goat as mains and one side. With one 250 ml wine, one sweet which we shared and one coffee with service the total was £58. Great value given the choice on the menu. They said that they have lost 30 covers to create distancing so I hope more will go, when they can, to this great restaurant.

Had a lovely meal here. I had the chicken which was cooked to perfection . Attentive staff. Only gripe was phone constantly ringing and not being answered every time. Need to rethink position of phones.
