One of our favorite places to visit when we lived in the U.K. The food was always fabulous, I almost always ordered the steak and ale pie and our kids loved the burgers and sausages. The outdoor seating is lovely when the weather is agreeable.

It firstly surprised me that we got a table on such a beautiful sunny day. The young staff running around were super polite and helpful. Food was quick, drinks a little slower but given how busy they were you could see why. Excellent little find and will be back. To make it even better the doggies could join and were even given little treat packs.

Love this pub! The food is delicious and staff is very friendly, they're always smiling when we're there. They are excellent with food allergies, which is very important for us. Their garden place is nice to sit out, idillic with the canal right next to it. Also had lots of fun on their bingo night! Although I don't have a dog, it's nice to see they're a dog friendly pub too! I highly recommend this place.

We went for dinner on a weeknight in the school holidays. We had a nice table and the staff were attentive. The food was freshly cooked and tasted really good. They kept our drinks topped up and brought food promptly, but didn't rush us. Everyone was really friendly. Thanks for a lovely evening!

A lovely friendly pub by the river, lovely atmosphere, great food, great welcome. Dog friendly as well. We were passing through on a narrowboat holiday. Good mooring. So probably won't be back any time soon, unfortunately. But highly recommend. 😀👌👍

My wife and I popped in for lunch while cycling on the Wey navigation.. hungry and thirsty we found the service food and drink at the New Inn to be just the ticket. The garden beside the Navigation is a lovely place ..and the parasol provided gave respite from the hot sun ... big thanks to staff for the service.

Sat in the garden overlooking the Wey Navigation where you order at a hut with a table number and the food is brought to you. We only had a snack with drinks but system works really well and the order was delivered really quickly. Our goats cheese tart was really good.

Pub was nice but expensive and the beer garden allows bikes but no paddle boads or kayaks which is weird as its rihj on the edge of the river wey. Paddle boars take up the same space as a mountain bike

I just wished to send this message to all of the Team at The New Inn!! I have a little boat, on the River Wey, and over the past few years she just seems to like just mooring outside - nothing to do with me!! My very best friend lost his Mum recently so, as because both of his parents just loved the River Wey, and Triggs Lock, I suggested that we have the 'Wake' at the New Inn. So, what can I really say...?? The venue was more than perfect and the staff looking after us were truly more than amazing!! Thank you so much!! Fantastic spot for a quick pint and bite of food by the river. We stopped off here on a cycle ride and there was plenty of outside seating and an outdoor bar, staff were friendly and we had our burgers back in no time. Good pub grub in a nice location and a reasonable price; not too much to complain about there!

Portions were all nice and big. I had steak and ale pie which had a lot of mushrooms in it, a bit too many (read almost half the filling) considering it wasn't a steak and mushroom pie! Very covid compliant, we had reserved 16 outside seats, only 6 at a table. Pleasant and friendly staff. Good range of drinks. Reasonably priced menu served in satisfactory time. Enough umbrella's to provide shade for the tables. To sum up, a very pleasant lunch.

Another fantastic meal. We went for the Easter menu and had it delivered. Amazing starter, Calamari cheese balls, wonderful roast and just in case that wasn’t enough food, two delicious desserts. I highly recommend the crepes although my partner would highly recommend the apple and caramel tart. Excellent service, nothing is ever a problem, wonderful staff and scrumptious food. You have to try this place as you are really missing out if you haven’t . Thanks everyone ☺️

Great all round place, lots of seating outside, nice view of the canal, worth having a stroll down to build that appetite up for the food. The menu is not expansive, but what they do offer is lovely well cooked and presented pub food , all seven of us couldn't find fault, absolutely delicious and reasonably priced at around £12-14 for a main. The white bait and steak and ale pie gorgeous, as were the ribs ,great plates of food. Totally reccomend this place

We did a walk from Guildford to Send on the River Wey and came across this beautiful pub. We weren't expecting much in terms of food but we were delightfully surprised by the service and the food. Good service and the food was brilliant. We will be back.

Food was great and the location is beautiful. The only slight comment was that the reserved seating area isn't waterproof whereas the first come first serve area is. Seemed a little strange as we booked a table outside, but in the rain it wasn't suitable, but the 'first come first serve' tables were under waterproof cover. My only suggestion would be to have reservations on the dry tables as people that have prebooked may have travelled some distance to the pub. We travelled from near Gatwick Airport to meet friends and nearly didn't have a table avaliable even though we booked. Not enough to knock a star off though as we had a great time and we're lucky that a table in the waterproof area left as we were looking for a dry table. Lovely place, good staff and the food was fantastic!!

Popped in to the canal side patio for a drink and some nibbles. Well say up with plenty of waiting staff making sure drinks and food arrived quickly. Ordering was via the shed outside. We shared the nachos, cheesy chips and onion rings. All good and washed down with a couple of nice (but pretty bog standard - our choice) drinks

They're really trying hard to get back to "normal" but I think they've gone too far! There's no sitting inside food is delivered "take-away"-style in boxes and served with disposable cutlery (which, I'm sure, no-one tried to eat with before buying!). It seems a huge expense compared to the other establishments we've been to where the usual crockery and cutlery are used! I have to report that the food is still excellent, however!

The food was good and tables fairly well spaced though ordering meant queueing in a cramped space and waiting while staff worked out 50% discount. No ordering at table meant several people wandering about. Staff didn't wear masks and no sign of anyone cleaning table as we left. Plastic menus were on the table and were not wiped or taken away. Despite this we had a good meal in a lovely garden.

What a lovely pub by the river! I stopped by after almost 2 hours walking and the smell of food from outside invited me to get take away food (as we are in lockdown). Very friendly staff who also recommended the Sunday roast take away. I can't wait for lockdown to end and be able to sit in the terrace amd enjoy the food there. I highky recommend The New Inn. It's been my today's discovery.

A lovely pub that is right on the banks of the River Wey nice friendly staff. I have unfortunately, only been here during Covid-19, but they do a great take out. If you want to buy alcohol, food must be brought at the same time. The chips are great and lovely to have with a pint after paddling in the river with a pint. 100% would recommend.

We had a home delivery lunch from the New Inn, Send. Delicious food, which travelled well (pastry arrived crispy, chips still fresh etc) and in double quick time (30 mins from order to delivery). Great service on telephone and done in a covid secure manner. Menu includes most pub classics. Quality was high. And food came in sturdy, recyclable cardboard not plastic. A good lockdown dinner or lunch option in the Woking area !
