Me and wife went to try the Thai menu as we'd heard good things and we were very impressed. The staff were all really friendly and attentive and the food was so tasty and at a reasonable price as well. If you like Thai food the chef at the plough knows what they are doing. Highly recommend a visit. Dog friendly as well so we'll bring ours next visit! Thanks Plough. You smashed it.

Great pub! Perfect location, just on the verge of forest, spacious and free parking, friendly lady owner, playful doggie and AMAZING Thai food and polite, warm service, and good prices! :-) my travelling friends said the Thai food is way better than the one served in posh Hampton Court restaurant. 5 stars! Cozy pub with a solid offering of different Sunday roasts. The pork was good but I would say the top spot is cauliflower cheese and veggie patty for the vegetarian option. Very dog friendly.

No menus provided, not sure if I was meant to guess what was on offer. Had to order at the Bar. Table too small for the amount of people that actually had to sit around it and eat. Roast dinner was good, pudding not so much (seemed like it was microwaved). No Coca-Cola on draft only bottles. Cost more than I was expecting. I didn't ask for one but no receipt provided so I could check I was actually charged correctly as tab was just written down and recorded on the till when I asked for bill. Staff were nice. I see no reason to go back in the future, not the best experience possible.

A pub. You know. Serves beer and drinks and hospitality. Space to meet friends and chat. No musak. When they have it, and currently it's like hen's teeth, try the Dartmoor Jail beer. Does pub food too. Nothing like a grape on a small lettuce leaf, just honest pub food. I love the place. Try it.

Lovely pub, the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy. I went with friends for a catch-up and some good old fashioned grub. The food was wonderful, full of flavour. . It's not a massive pub so if you are a large party (7 +) I'd recommend reserving a space. They cater for various dietary restrictions. . I enjoyed the beef Hotpot.

What a find! Fairly quiet Sunday lunch time, though rain may be keeping people away. Really standout roast lamb dinner, very generous with the lamb. Would recommend the cauliflower cheese side. Dog friendly, also with very friendly staff. We'll be back and I would certainly recommend!

Booked a table for my family of 5. Mentioned my daughter and I have allergies to gluten and dairy. They were very accommodating. On arrival the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I were given our lunch designed around our allergies and the food for all the family was amazing. Thank you for a good end to our family day out. See you soon.

Good, old school pub. Food was tasty, with a good roast selection, but only a Sunday roast choice. Friendly landlady, who was a bit stretched at times,could have done with some help,but didn't ruin experience.

The new land Lord & land lady are very lovely, welcoming & friendly. The pub has a nice friendly atmosphere, I was informed that meals will be going ahead soon. I would definitely go here again.

Five stars even though lunch was a touch delayed - that's what the staff here deserve. They were friendly and kept us updated, and the food was totally worth waiting for. We will be back! (Tip: the sharing platter is generous at the least!)

Decor is nice but hasn't really got going yet. Closes early Monday and Tuesday. Garden overgrown.No food. It's awaiting the arrival of the new landlord. Setting out front is as great as ever but3 of the 5 tables need replacing.

Whilst writing this review, sadly this place has been burnt down, due to a 'fire' and is presently being rebuilt...it was a very old pub with poor decor but great personal atmosphere and frequented by the locals and their dogs. Hopefully the 'insurance' will cover the rebuild and its not going to be a plastic pub!

I used to go to this pub before lockdown and it was excellent but now it is full of youngsters not social distancing people at the bar not wearing masks, I will not be going there again.
