Gave food at the George & Dragon last night a go since its restaurant was taken over by "Dine". Great friendly service, food was certainly way above average for pub food. This cheeky burger was nicely done, even my mates Thai curry you could tell was cooked from scratch. Will certainly take more mates down there and wife and kids too will also be on the cards.

We had my Grandads wake here . Was so lovely. Beautiful little old pub with some wonderful memories. The food they put on for us was beautiful. Lots of sandwiches ect very generous. And the cakes were fabulous. Thank you so much to all the staff at the George and Dragon. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect 🥰 .

Visited George and Dragon last week with family and baby at lunch time. We were helped around the back with pram to the garden. Baby loved artificial grass to crawl over. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were more than friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.

Family friendly pub which is always worth a visit when in Tarring. Spacious garden with a wide variety of drinks to choose from. Most recent dining layout is also a nice addition.

Popped in for lunch today and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Incredibly friendly, excellent service. The food was great and the desserts were absolutely to die for. Very dog friendly also. Our pup got so many cuddles. Highly recommend.

Fantastic pub. First time in there, taking advantage of the last day of the eat out savings and was so impressed. Excellent service with attentive staff who catered for everything you need. Food was good quality and ample portions. Will definitely be back!

This is a lovely old type of pub, dark wood red seating. .lots of friendly people. We have been three times now.food is good home cooking ,reasonably priced and plentiful.atmosphere is great, Sunday meat raffle and a live band. Clean toilets and lots of seating near or away from band area.big bar and good service. Booking for food would be wise .

Not been here for ages for various reasons due to the way it was being run. However the bullet was bitten and I ventured in. The menu was smaller than what I remember, but this maybe down to the current Covid situation. However in this case less is more. The food we had was tasty and everyone in our party enjoyed what they had. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were not rushed and had a great afternoon. Going back to an earlier comment, the place is still run by the same person/people but they have seemed to have improved on many levels and it was a pleasure going back and it was like meeting an old friend.

We've become regulars for the general knowledge quiz on Wednesdays. It's a great atmosphere and always packed (which is both a good and a bad thing). It can take some time for food to be delivered and it's often tough to get served at the crowded bar. However, the quality and value is pretty good, the staff are very friendly, and we very much enjoy the lively banter. They have a lovely garden and a semi-covered smoking area, too. A great, old-fashioned pub!

What a wonderful pub. We had the Christmas menu and it was delicious. There was 14 of us and everyone commented how brilliant the food was, aswell as the service. The pub itself was busy (as usual) everyone made you feel welcome. The sound of laughter was all around you. I just wished it was my local.

Friendly, good selection of beers and ciders. Actual open fires in colder weather and a nice beer garden. Traditional old fashioned pub ambience with surprisingly wide range of good value lunches. I was especially impressed with them welcoming my mum in to use the toilet even though we went to the cafe opposite (on this occasion) and she couldn't manage the stairs in the cafe.

Lovely 500 year old pub. Grade 1 listed. Hosts are friendly, due to age and listing there is NO direct wheelchair access, however, we took my disabled father as visitors to the area and another member of public kindly helped lift the wheelchair up the 2 high steps. Food here is reasonably priced and absolutely fantastic quality.

Great atmosphere and friendly service, really lovely Sunday roast with great selection of veg, crisp roast potatoes and tasty gravy. Loved the meat raffle at 3pm and the £25 bar tab prize just made our day. Thankyou Linda for your hospitality we will be back.
