Reviews of Selden Arms

One of my favourite places :-) fab staff, excellent variety of drinks and the staff are very knowledgeable about the beers available. A community atmosphere.
G. G.
Lovely friendly pub had a great catchup with s friend who was enjoying the many ales they hand on tap.
M. C.
Great pub, slightly off the beaten track in Worthing with an amazingly good craft and cask selection. The staff are very very welcoming and friendly with helpful recommendations. We paid a flying visit but I can see it's popular with its regulars and I could understand why.
j. g.
Great beer and a good atmosphere.
Previously I have found it to smell dreadful, not this time. However the toilets really could do with a clean. Just half an hour with a clean cloth to move some of the very old muck would be an improvement.
I. L.
I love this cosy, friendly pub. It always has a great range of beers on tap and in cans. The staff are welcoming without fail. And there's a ceiling full of beer mats. What's not to love?
J. r. O.
Cannot fault this pub and all the staff, great knowledge of ales ,beers ect.
You can walk in alone and feel confident but also come out having had a great day/night.
Everyone is friendly and you make lovely friendships along the way.favourite place to go.

Friendly, Great beer and a toad table. It's good.
D. L.
Lovely place and atmosphere. I totally recommend The Seldon Arms if you want a nice drink.
B. K.
A superb little proper pub, with a great atmosphere not like the plastic theme pubs. They have easily the best beer choice in Worthing by a long way . Sure there's better eateries, even though it's pretty darn good ( the curry nights were legendary before covid) but that isn't where they specialize it's the beer selection that rotates regularly from all over the the country, no bog standard pumps you see everywhere else. Guaranteed you haven't seen many of them before. A must visit if you like ales, go.
S. C.
Traditional old boozer with awesome beer selection. What it lacks in decor and ambience it more than makes up for in service and a quality selection of beers. I will be back 😁
S. B.
Very friendly side street pub. Extremely considerate of the covid situation with customers first seated and then drinks bought to them. 6 Ales always on covering wide selection.
F. P.
Very good selection of ales plus Belgian beers. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Friendly atmosphere. I based my star rating solely on how much I enjoyed the beer.
J. E.
Faultless ale pub. Why go anywhere else?
S. P.
Great traditional boozer on the edge on the central town area. The pub has a very loyal customer base although i was not made to feel unwelcome as the case in most ale pubs. The beer selection is excellent especially the range of bottled Belgium beers although there did seem to be manly stronger cask beers at 5% . Landlord seemed friendly and the ceiling of pumpclips is impressive and a good way to while away 10 mins spotting the ones you have done.
B. G.
Love this place, great beer choices and friendly service
C. B.
Old school boozer with mass range of beer options. One of the most hardworking bar workers I've ever seen. Running a busy place single handed with ease.
M. Q.
Pub of the year yet again.
Arun & Adur Camra award. Good beers well worth a visit.
b. r.
Great pub reasonably priced great range of beers. One thing I did enjoy were the dancing girls on a Friday night. Not as good since Soapy left a great demise as not many have a sense of humour like he did RIP Soaps
S. V.
Good beer. Table service. Friendly staff
J. M.
Pleasant and slightly quirky neighborhood pub, with a zinc topped bar and extensive range of beers and other drinks. A bit out of the way from the town centre bit maybe that's a good thing. Dog friendly but no patio or garden.
I. L.
A great locals bar that is very welcoming to all with great choice of ales and beers. Always had a dark ale on each visit over the years with today being no exception. Wish it was my local.
C. S.
Just love this pub! Amazing range of Belgian beers and well kept real beers. And seriously dog friendly. The super folk behind the bar give you the warmest of welcomes! 😊
R. M.
Great tradional pub. Great choice of ales and always at least one scrumpy cider on tap. Friendly staff and regulars. Good food at good price. My sort of pub.
L. B.
Great range of beer and nice to see some of the more familiar Belgian Ales too. Great service, although pub itself starting to look tired. Next to Worthing Hospital.
D.
Friendly neighbourhood pub with an ever so lovely selection of ales, a lovely, friendly crowd and a warm atmosphere inside always! Never a disappointment when I’m here! Absolutely love the service and warmth Bob and all the staff exude :)
p. g.
Proper pub. Wide range of delectable hoppy South Coast ales properly stored and served. Staff and clientele local working people as well as from Newcastle, Liverpool and Clitheroe, who could complete the Guardian crossword with barely a moment's thought. Hard to believe that this piece of Heaven really exists on Earth.
J. W.

A certain person who has a colossal knowledge of all type's of draft beers is good company but does not suffer fools gladly runs the best ale house in town with more varieties than you can shake a stick at.long may she continue
