I haven't been here for a long time, fondly remember it as the jack horner. Went tonight and it was super busy, but what did I expect for a Friday night?! The staff were super friendly and as accommodating as they could be in a packed place. But the number of people spoke for itself. The drinks menu was vast and the food was divine. I had pie of the day and it was a huge portion, great value for money. The chocolate brownie didn't disappoint either. As said previously, great location for a pub crawl, but also lovely for a meal out. Very versatile.

Lovely setting, quite nice selection of drinks and the staff are extremely friendly. My only criticism is the portion sizes of food. Given the fact the food is quite expensive, I would expect reasonable portions. The portion of calamari we got was laughable, the quality was reasonable but bang for buck, wouldn’t eat there again. All being said we would certainly enjoy a nice drink there again as everything else was great so a solid 4 stars.

Following an appointment at the hospital, I made my first visit to the Corner House,and I'm glad I did. The bar staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was a good drinks selection and the food was well presented and well cooked. Would particularly like to thank Jessie and Rose for taking care of me... thank you guys. Next time I'm in Worthing I will definitely return.

This place, if you're going to eat seems like a restaurant rather than a pub. They have different serving staff for eating and drinking. I had a Sunday lunch there and it was excellent. It looked deceptively small as they piled everything up rather than spread it all out. There was plenty of it and was really tasty.

I was in worthing visiting some friends a couple of weeks ago and decided to pop in to the Corner house for a drink. We hadn't planned to but saw one of the roast dinners coming out and couldn't resist ordering! I'm glad we did, I had beef and lamb and it was honestly the best roast I've had in ages. The meat was cooked perfectly and the veg tasted really fresh. I'll definitely be back, thanks!

Used to come here a while back and has always been a lovely atmosphere and the staff are warm and welcoming. The menu seems to be different, potentially new Chefs, however the Sunday roast was exceptional and a great value for money would highly recommend and will be returning in the near future.

To call this place a craft beer pub is a bit misleading. They serve the widely known Brewdog Punk IPA on tap and a couple of lesser known German lagers and pilsners but nothing new and interesting. Staff were also rather lacking in charm. However there is a nice outside area and it seemed to be a nice place for families and very dog friendly. Decent pub but not somewhere to go for any unique drinks.

Pleasent couple of hours spent in this pub. The food we had was decent pub grub! 2 of us had fish and chips and peas which was very good and our companion had sausage and mash which also was good. Slightly pricey bar with limited internal seating, however has large outside capacity with 4 heated booths. Great in the summer if drinking Al fresco. Used to do food not sure if it still does, you will need to check with them if they still do. Attracts a nice clientelle as the prices tend to deter rif raff.

Not bad beer. Usually a couple of brews from small Sussex brewers. And a nice garden. I haven't eaten here, but I'm told it's alright. Just over the road from the New Amsterdam, and round the corner from the Selden Arms. So a good spot to have a little crawl.

Been going here for years. Great pub with a great vibe and decent beers. If you are looking for a craft beer pub with dozens of beers on tap then this might not be the place for you. But if you want some solid beers, gin, or wine, and generally a good time, it's a fantastic pub

The pub as a building has been through many guises through the years but is one of the staples of Worthing. In it's current incarnation it has tasty food, a good selection of beers and lagers (yes, the C word), a sheltered but sunny beer garden and having been recently refurbished is still looking spritely inside. Like them on Facebook and you'll get notification of their "Street Of The Week" - they pick a road in Worthing each week and if you live there you'll get 15% discount. It's also the best place in Worthing for a good Christmas sing song every year in December.

Excellent selection of drinks on offer (including a personal favourite - the Adnams Wild Wave). I always feel welcomed with the staff approaching in a friendly, polite manner. The beer garden tables have just the right amount of space between them and the heated booths are an excellent added bonus. Another nice touch is the chilled music playing in the background.

Table and toilets were clean, our table was under shelter and the staff were polite and helpful. The limited menu is quite limited (please get desserts again when covid allows) but very happy with the amount of vegan options that seem like they actually put thought into them rather than just a oh here's a plain vegan burger from the wholesaler. Both the beef burger and the vegan burgers were lovely and the onion rings were fiittt. I'm excited to come again :)

A family friend pub where kids are welcome till 7pm. A good choice of four cask ales from local breweries all of which were in good condition. We ordered two pints, two fruit juices and two medium wine and sodas, came to £21 which is quite reasonable given how much some pubs charge for wine these days. We stayed for another couple by which time it was filling up. Good staff, fast service and reasonable prices.

Nice place to go for a drink or a few. Tends to get very busy, particularly on a Saturday night. The staff are usually quite quick at serving so you don't wait all that long at the bar. There's outside seating space with heaters which is cozy. A little on the outskirts of town which is its main pitfall.

We ordered a round of pints and the lager tasted stale (3 different ppl said the same). Politely asked the the bar staff if we could change it for another lager to be told that that's how the lager should taste! I insisted a couple of times that we get a fresh pint, which we finally got after the manager intervened. It's a nice pub, good atmosphere, great little beer garden, but you shouldn't have to argue to get a stale beer changed.

Yes it's not the cheapest but the quality is good so I'd say it's value for money. Nice friendly atmosphere. I was here on my own and there was no problem about where I sat or to try and rush me out. Tv on in background showing Olympics with no sound but nice music playing in the background so a great setup to please most tastes. Will be back again and recommend to others

They did everything right Went for sunday lunch with dog and young child and the reception cooks not have been more friendly without being over the top. Brilliant food, a fantastic atmosphere and the staff were brilliant throughout. £15 for a roast beef is well worth every penny. You can get a cheaper sunday lunch but it won't be as good!

I am giving 3 stars because the food was excellent. Pretty much everything else was poor! We had booked for 7.30pm and we arrived just before. The girls serving showed us to our table and got a bowl of water for our dogs. Allowing our dogs in was a major reason for going to this establishment. We were given menu's and proceeded to choose what we wanted. When ordering we were told about the items that were not available, a little late in our opinion, as it included 3 of our 4 main courses and 1 starter! We sat back down and looked at the menu again and then ordered 4 starters and 4 main courses, that were available! We waited for 45 minutes before the food came to the table, 4 main courses!!! Then the starters!!!!!! All at the same time!!!!!!! Apparently we were told that all the food was coming all together but none of the 4 of us appreciated that. Why call it starters and main courses if it is all coming together? By the time you have eaten the starter the main course is cold and all this after a 45 minute wait!!!! The fact that they allow dogs in and that the food was very good was to their credit but everything else was very disappointing.

Previously a gay pub, although ownership now do not mark it as such, they do not object to LGBT's expressing themselves or their tender affections in there. Therefore, the LGBT's can rest assured that they can come to the Corner House (p.k.a "The Stage", and before that, "Jack Horner") Rated it 4/5 because I never give full marks. I always believe there's room for improvement. I like it there. Looking forward to seeing any improvement! :)

This is a really nice gastropub. Recommended by my girlfriend. Just dropped in for a pint and a burger but it was top notch. Early afternoon, so rather quiet but I'll be back.
