Had my 25th birthday meal here. Right from the beginning when we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Service was incredible. Very attentive and GENUINELY caring people who want to look after their customers. You can see that they care. My sister in law brought her doggy and she was very well looked after. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Food was high standard very tasty! Never been here before but was worth the gamble. Harry Charge

On visiting Worthing as a large group for Oktoberfest we stumbled across this pub. Even though we were a big group we were warmly welcomed by the excellent bar staff who were like bar staff of old! Great banter and remembered our drinks and even some of our names when reordering. Definitely seek out this place if visiting Worthing. We'll be back!!

Absolutely Fantasic we eat out every Sunday and this is by far the best food in and around Worthing we'll be back every Sunday.Dog friendly and nothing was too much for the staff. Honestly you won't be disappointed

Busy pub, but plenty of tables so we didn't have to wait. Good selection of drinks and good food menu. Went for a roast this time, at about £12 each it's not bad value. Really good roast, lovely meat and good selection of veg. Pleased with the service and speed, only waited 10mins for the food despite it being busy

I don't often come The Egremont and only eaten here a few occasions. The food is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and you are served quickly so you don't have to wait too long. Very comfy seating and often always a table to sit at if busy. Plus, you don't get much traffic noise coming in from outside.

Just had the BEST roast dinner. We eat out every Sunday and popped in to the pub for a drink before heading off in to Worthing town centre for the day. The smells coming from the kitchen got our tastebuds flowing so we decided to see if there was a table for two. Staff were more than accommodating. ordered pork belly which came with perfect crackling and the beef came out to perfection. the vegetables and the cauliflower cheese were also sublime. Overall it was a 10 out of 10 for the food and the service from all the staff was exemplary. Going to be hard to go anywhere else for a Sunday lunch from now on.

Very, very pleased with this place. I mostly eat Vegan and the Vegan menu is extremely good. The chef has put a lot of thought in to it, ended up going for starter, main and dessert as I wanted to try it all. Wow. 6 of us and a Westie had dinner here on Saturday night. I haven't been to the Egremont for years and we were all so impressed. We all had different choices from the menu and each dish was amazing, so tasty and well presented. The staff were a delight and were very attentive. There was live music but we were at the other end of the pub so we could hear it but we were still able to have a conversation. Thank you so much. We will be back.

Very good bar/restaurant staff, not too busy as no live music this Thursday evening. A couple of tables free to eat and room at the bar! French onion soup, whitebait, skinny fries and sweet potato chips all good, garlic bread very good. Food served within reasonable amount of time and cleared away quickly without being over fussy or waiter interrupting 😊. Would return again.

January 2018: Only found out about this place recently! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food menu has good variety but the prices are on par with a restaurant. I've had the cod and chips, which were okay, and the veggie burger so far. Recommended for its nice atmosphere and excellent gin menu. March 2018: Downgrading to 3 stars. The lunch specials aren't good value for money. This is especially true with the pasta. I had a vegetarian spaghetti dish with tomatoes and olives. Except there weren't any tomatoes or olives to be found. As I ordered quite late, about 10 minutes before the kitchen closed, I didn't bother raising it with staff. This dish, along with chips, cost £10.50. Speaking of staff, they're an interesting mix. The ones who served me before were polite and friendly. But today I interacted with new staff members. Their service and attitude left me not wanting to return. One staff member was particularly annoying with their loud, inane chatter. I understand that one needs to keep themselves entertained when there isn't much customer traffic. But this one was grating. Come in the evenings for gin but don't expect value for money. Or consistency with the staff.

Great service, really good food - the ribs are a highlight, and Wednesday's French menu is a nice touch - and a rotating selection of beers. Live music often on too. Parking nearby at the Splashpoint car park. And they are really dog friendly too! Only slight grumble is the lack of baby changing facilities, but the staff have always been really accomodating if we've needed to change a little one.

I know it was busy but the bar staff need to get their act together, it was like a lotto if you got served or not, I felt like a baby bird waiting to be fed by it's mother. if it was not for the music that was on I would have gone. we are paying customers and without us bar staff you don't get paid. also flat beer on a Saturday night when your busy is not expectable. 'Greg from The Eg' has saved this tatty, neglected pub and turned it into a local gem. Lovely decor, good food and live music. What more could you want? One minute from the beach but not packed with day trippers. It's the heart of the local scene that end of the beach.

We attended a Christmas meal here on the 15/12 /19 , organised by a friend of ours who went to the trouble of arranging the event and paying the pre-booking fee , there was a real lack of organization on behalf of the egremont as there was no tables reserved for the occasion, the seating arrangements were all jumbled up and there wasn’t even spaces for everyone in attendance , so the situation was to wait it out for tables to free up , there were two very young children there too , our friend went to a lot of trouble to organize the event and felt let down by the lack of professionalism on the part of the egremont, the staff waiting on us were fine but the host was upset by the whole thing , we all had a good time but that’s not the point, we had to cheer our friend up and that shouldn’t have to be the case, the pre-booking fee was also forgotten about and the bill had to be revised, should mention the food was actually quite good , please have more consideration when taking large bookings , not good enough I’m afraid.
