Reviews of The Swallows Return
P. C.
Beautiful venue, staff are friendly and the food is very nice!
The food is expensive compared to other restaurants however it is worth it for a nice evening out
The new soda flavours are a great addition, definitely recommend the raspberry or blueberry flavours 👌
D. K.
Great service and really very good food. There were eight of us and all our food was first class. Personally, I can recommend the Duo of Lamb, delicious.
P. E.
Fab setting, excellent and friendly staff. Also, THE BEST fish finger sandwich and triple cooked chips we've ever had!
C. A.
Been a few years since last visited and very impressed clean with nice decor and importantly for ourselves dog friendly.
The service was friendly food tasty in reasonable portions with z good selection of drinks.
O. S.
Amazing service, lovely setting, tasty food and drinks - would definitely recommend and I'll be going here again.
D. D.
Very lovely experience! Tasty food, hospitable staff and plenty of laughs. They kindly stayed open en extra hour on a Monday night and didn't ask us to leave early. We only found out they were closed as we were leaving. Special thanks to Lara who put a smile on our faces at every encounter.
J.
Nice big beer garden and nice inside the pub too. It's also very good there's cycle racks to lock bikes to. Good selections of beers that are reasonably priced and good customer service.
I can't think of much to criticise about. Maybe more promotions on food and drinks.
L. W.
The staff were very friendly with excellent service , the food was delivered promptly, it was delicious with generous portions and good value. The restaurant had great decoration and was very comfortable.
j. s.
Lara was a great waitress and looked after us well. She was chatty and attentive, and listened to all our requirements carefully. Food was delicious
S. &. R. D.
Have visited several times now and always excellent service and good food, however feel compelled to leave feedback as the toilets are simple unhygienic. Repeatedly out of service, floors flooded and no amenities within and has since put us off returning.
J. T.
I have never been here before now!.
It was a nice place with a friendly atmosphere. They do sell food, but i did not eat any today. I would recommend this place to a friend.🙂
M. P.
ONLY issue i had were portion sizes for our starters
The scallops were really small and 5 prawns, felt it was expensive for the size of the portion, the wife had camambert which again were small
Apart from that though very nice and our waitress Lara was very good and attentative
P. P.
Extremely good service but unfortunately the food did not match up to it.
Three out of the four mains were very overcooked. Mine in particular (breaded chicken escalope), was so overcooked it was difficult to cut and the chicken had totally dried out
M. G. (.
Such a lovely place to eat at, staff were so friendly, they did make a mistake with the order but were so apologetic about it, so not rating them down for that! We love their partner pub in Herts too! :D
P. H.
My favourite place usually, but there was a long wait for food - almost an hour and some things not available on the menu which we were not told until 20 minutes after giving our order.
s. b.
Nice meal at a family friendly pub that welcomes dogs. Food can be a bit hit n miss at times but generally quite good at mid range prices
P. F.
Beautiful pub with great service and incredible food!
K. L.
Nice airy restaurant. Well spaced out for covid. Greeted on the door and all precautions explained.
Service was excellent and quick.
Food was good and reasonably priced.

Went to visit friends in Fering and they took us to this place for some lunch. Very clean restaurant pleasant staff and top top it all the food was really really good indeed.
A. I.
Just had a beautiful lunch with my friend . A lovely service from Chloe. She was really welcoming and warm. She made our time spent here a real pleasure . Thank you Chloe.
D. G.
Went here for a work Christmas meal. We got to choose from the set Christmas menu with about 6 choices for each course, or the normal menu.
It is a lovely venue with a really nice atmosphere. It was clean and the toilets were nice and clean as well.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Looking forward to going back again at some point.
There was also a DJ and a mini dance floor on the night which was a nice surprise. I think they were happy when we all got up and danced!
Highly recommend.
C. W.
Lucy took care of us, she was absolutely lovely. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection and the service was quick and friendly.
P. N.
Enjoyed a very nice lunch - chicken and mushroom pie with carrots brocili and chips or could have had mashed potato.
Finished with apple and blackberry crumble with custard. A glass of Merlot helped wash it down
L.
Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, sweet little dog area with treats.
P. D.
Good food very dog friendly little pricey but nice place to stop for a drink or a meal
J. H.
Love this place. Met some colleagues for lunch, staff were friendly and helpful to a fault. Food was reasonable for the quality. Amazing.
S. P.
We had fabulous food. The pie was lovely and the black forest dessert was incredible. Our waitress Lara B waas helpful and attentive
J. P.
Nice place ,only popped in for a drink so can't really say much. The staff were friendly and quick to bring drinks and what food we saw coming out to tables looked good.
S. b.
Lara was lovely, she was very welcoming and warm helpful and friendly lovely to see a smiley face great waitress and an avid Tottenham fan ! Great service, great meal will definitely come again . Go on you spurs
S. C.
Good Sunday roast
My stuffing and a few other bits were missing whilst other had theres, but not a big deal.
Staff were very attentive & helpful
They have done a great job converting the barn into the restaurant
Would recommend for a Sunday roast with the family or a drink in their garden
S. D.
Really enjoyed our visit. The food was excellent. Lara our server was super friendly. Will definitely be returning A🌟
A. S.
Great, friendly place to eat. Helpful staff and varied menu.
Some of the tables are a bit draughty because of doors being left open.
A. B.
We had Gammon very nice but a bit dry as no sauce!so I'd like to recommend adding pineapple to the gammon dish!
M. D.
A really beautiful and welcoming place to come and relax. We turned up reasonably late and the staff were kind and approachable, and the food was absolutely fantastic.
s. s.
Popped in for lunch with my wife and my brother yesterday, quite busy, and food seemed to take ages to come out, buy it was very tasty, I would have given 5 stars if they had remembered to bring me my beef dripping sauce for my steak.
C. D.
Perfect retreat and a real gem just off the roundabout with great food and a friendly welcome. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.
G. J.
The food was amazing and our waitress & trainee waiter were lovely. Location and atmosphere were great too :)
S. O.
Cosy, nice menu, lovely staff. A little expensive though.
J. G.
Had three meals in one week all 100% and thay are dog friendly would recommend to anyone. keep up the good work
U. L.
We went for Sunday brunch but were left disappointed with the quality of the food provided. A real shame as a previous visit for Sunday lunch was very good.
J. W.
Brilliant selection of food, friendly staff and fabulous decor and ambiance. Try it - very reasonable prices too!
R. G.
Good location with plenty of outdoor space, however not great service on my latest visit and only one real ale on tap!
P. P.
We enjoyed our lunch and the ambience so much decided to book Christmas Dinner while we were there
A. D.
Excellent, friendly, good humoured staff on a very busy Christmas Day. They worked tirelessly and clearly cared their guests had a great day, which included our dog, My family loved the food and there was plenty of it. Steph was amazing at welcoming us & problem solving to get everything right. We had a great visit. Highly recommended.
M. P.
The service, food & ambience of the restaurant were all great. The staff were friendly & helpful.
d. k.
Large converted barn and car park. Very nice inside. Good interesting menu and extensive bar. Scallops for starters followed by Sirloin steak then mini crumble and coffee. Pleasant service and dog friendly. Only minus was the coffee rather weak and bland.
Z. H.
Random walk out of uni across the road and voila this little gem. Gorgeous surroundings. Lovely helpful staff and best of all fabulous and cheap coffee! Cheaper than uni! Highly recommend
T. W.
Everyone was really kind and helpfull. They all served us with a big smile on there faces. They even laughed at the unfunny jokes that my nan made!!
D. B.
40th Birthday Meal for my daughter, party of 17. Would not let us book before 3pm for Sunday Lunch. Good food and service was good. Nice atmosphere. Thanks so much.
M. D.
Came down to Worthing drove along to Ferring but couldn't get parked so decided to stop here for lunch before heading home. Firstly what a beautiful building... Sat inside with the dog the young boy who looked after us was outstanding excellent customer service. Food was outstanding very nice and delicious. Just the tiniest issue steak was a bit fatty.... overall very satisfied. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and next time we are in the area will definitely be returning.
J. s.
Just been for a Brunch at Swallows return, absolutely lovely food ,I had the small cooked breakfast ,the service was very good and staff very friendly .Such a relaxing atmosphere ,will definitely go again .
L. L.
Lovely and airy. Choice to sit inside or out in lovely garden. Sparkly and helpful personnel.
A. H.
Lovely restaurant, this is now my favourite in my area! food is lovely and fresh, great team and Tom the manger is friendly and helpful.
N. P.
Our waitress Olivia was very good and patient with us, she had a nice calm manner and double checked our order to make sure everything was right, she came back to check that we were happy with our meal choice and asked us at decent intervals if we needed anymore drinks. The food was nice but i was a little surprised that they had ran out of a few things on the menu on a Friday and at 7pm however this was not a problem as there was plenty of choice left for us to choose from. The atmosphere was pleasant and it was quite busy but not overflowing on the day we visited.
C. G.
Overall the meal we had there was really lovely! The building is stunning, but we chose to sit outside as it wasn't raining for once, and we have an energetic child who can't sit still!
My only negative comment would be the choice of vegan/ vegetarian options. There was a choice of burger or pizza, but the burger was not available. Luckily I eat fish and had the salmon which was delicious, but there wasn't anything else on menu I would eat, so won't be back until the menu has more v food.
M. T. s. &. L. c.
Went for a group meal. Phenomenal! Best food we've had while eating out in a long time! No great wait times, fresh hot food, friendly staff. And an oddly wide alcohol selection :D
S. M.
Food was nice but on the day we went, the service was very slow, taking about 20 minutes to take the order, and a further 45 minutes for the food to arrive.
It may just have been a one off, but with a diabetic member of our party, it started to cause a few issues.
Other tables seemed to have been served faster (especially the ones outside), so it didn't seem to be the same experience for everyone. We watched though as people sat down after we had ordered, had the food, finished and left, before our food arrived.
A. S.
Great Sunday Roast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very busy though a must book venue...
J. B.
Was quite disappointed with the food and drinks, some of the beers are tepid, the fish is out of a freezer , at the prices they are charging for food I expected fresh cooked fish , so rather poor really.
M. N.
Really nice place to go for dinner and our waitress Lara was really attententive and had a great personality.
I. R.
Very welcoming and good ambience. Food great, my only complaint is the size of meals. Too much for a small appetite be nice if smaller meals were available
D. E.
Had Sunday lunch, really good, will visit again 👍
S. H.
Abaolutely the best pub in Worthing! Magical and unique place - great for a romantic dinner with your loved one but also for a business lunch or some party. Definitely will be coming back many times!
K. M.
Another lovely meal with my partner. It was the first to visit this pub and I'd love to come back again. 👍👍👍
A. M.
A last minute late stop. Food available when other places had stopped. Friendly and reasonable value.
M. P.
Food fabulous, service very slow not organised, had to ask for cutlery .
S. W.
Lovely pub, lovely staff, very welcoming and a nice atmosphere. Had the beef Lasagne with side salad for lunch, and it was very enjoyable. Well worth a visit, try it sometime!!
G. T.
Had a really pleasant meal at Swallows Return on a Saturday afternoon. The safety precautions in place were reassuring. The staff were very attentive and we felt well looked after by Chloe and Grace. There was a slight mix-up when a starter that was ordered as a main came out with the other starters, but the staff were kind enough to bring out an extra portion on the house to make up for it, which we appreciated. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and the staff were very helpful in surprising the birthday girl with the cake that we'd brought with us. Great food on an understandably limited menu, and a charming, rustic setting.
L. F.
Steph was fabulous! Nothing was too much.. She almost said.. "The answer is 'yes' - what's the question?" It was refreshing to speak to her, as the previous pub we visited could not be bothered... And we were spending £2-3k on this wake!!
When we first visited the pub, Steph was happy to take the time to talk us through where we could have our 50-75 guests located on the afternoon/evening of the wake. She then discussed all the food options and was happy to order more food on the evening if needed.
The wake went extremely well with all the food being served to a good standard and all the staff at the pub made the Wake as best as it could.
Much appreciated Swallow Return! We will be back!
C. F.
The food was good and it was good value and we didn't book in advance but got a table.
L. B.
Food was lovely as always and service was exceptional especially Lorraine who looked after us well
P. W.
If you want to get the best from this place, then visit on a Sunday for the roast👍👍
d. O.
Very enjoyable meal- a real improvement from a year ago when we last visited! The host was charming, the Peroni was perfect, the waitress was attentive and lovely without being loud or pushy and the house burger and roast beef were delicious! Most important of all, Bonnie the dog was made to feel very welcome, with her own bowl of water brought over specially! Covid wise everything was reassuringly clean, there was a sensible one way system in place and the tables were nicely spaced apart from each other. We felt safe and well catered for. Thank you!
C. S.
Great team...very nice inside...food amazing....one small advice...music a bit louder please because everyone could hear everyone talking...and when you clean the cutlery don't make so much noise(20mins)...we'll see you soon😉
J. S.
The Swallows Return is a really lovely pub. The service is very good and friendly and the food was delicious. We had the warm beef brisket sandwich with dripping sauce and chips. The beef melted in the mouth and the Banoffee pie was very nice. Would definitely recommend.
t. c.
Lovely pub, great food and extremely dog friendly.
C. K.
Delivery a bit slow (but busy) and food slightly over priced in my opinion, but restaurant and food very good and we all really enjoyed the sorbets and the flower pot dessert.
C. L.
Sj is just the best waitress very happy and helpful ! great food as well ... recommended
A. P.
Food very nice, service accent as usual
N. H.
Very pleasant evening at The Swallows Return. Had an expertly cooked pork belly with innovative black pudding mashed potato. Nice gravy. Good service from friendly waitress. The decor is immaculate. Great experience
H. H.
Oh boy I’ve driven past this place and not known of its existence. Staff friendly, lovely site, lots of parking, food reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.
N. B.
Lovely roast dinner good service in a nice setting plus they accept dogs
C. B.
A nice pub which has been nicely decorated but other then that the food really isn’t up to scratch. The sandwich I had was average, the bread hard and not enough filling. Chips no better then those from Burger King. Probably wouldn’t go back.
P. C. (.
Hello. The lady with the blonde hair ( sorry don't know your name ) was very professional. Food was excellent and reasonable priced. We was here about 2 years ago and it wasn't very good but decided to give it another try. Glad we did. Thanks again
J. W.
The thing that stood out most the me was the lovely staff and service! Everyone was very smiley and helpful, I felt very welcome. We were served by SJ and she was lovely 🙂 Food was delicious and reasonably priced too! The converted barn building has a lot of character, great lighting. Good selection of alcohol, something for everyone. I would recommend.
D. L.
Steph was really great, ever so helpful and friendly, with a professional approach that was very reassuring.
d. n.
Beautiful place, with a very friendly team, who looked after me throughout my visit, didn't have food today but what I did see looked delicious
A. V.
Lovely waitress Lara polite, friendly and helpful
Great food
J. S.
Lovely food and lovely friendly staff x
J. C.
Sat outside for a drink with friends this afternoon. Very quiet in pub/restaurant today although it was quite windy and cool at times. Table service was provided for food and drinks. A one way system was present in the building and all Covid check-in and rules were in operation. Friendly staff and pleasant venue and we'd happily visit again.
J. J.
Our server Jack was excellent food was served promptly and was delicious
J. P.
Great food, fantastic service . 13 of us for dinner and not a problem, all came out hot and together. Hats off to the chef. Delicious
G. C.
Booked a table for 3.30 didn't have the starters we wanted ,then to be told the main meals were no longer available after being in there over an hour ,then chose a different meal ,then for the poor waitress to come back and say our 2nd choice wasn't available, was very disappointing to say the least , we didn't get our main meal untill 5 oclock ,I've eaten hear several times over the past few years, and recommended to many of my family and friends , but found our visit on Sunday very very disappointing, no communication between the waitress and the kitchen staff , the poor waitress was so embarrassed to come over and tell us ,not once but 3 times we couldn't have our choice of food , let's just hope the communication between the kitchen and staff can be improved. Apart from that the lunch was very nice .many thanks
Gill Clarke
A. T.
Very nice place with great atmosphere around the fireplace, made it very cosy. I had a steak and was very tasty and well cooked as i asked for. Will defenitely visit again
D. F.
What an amazing place! So happy I found this! It is gorgeous both inside and in the outdoor area with plenty of seating. The food was good but the service wasn’t great. But that doesn’t overshadow the overall experience.
E. B.
It was a good night out, good food and good wine.
Recommend for a evening out
R. C.
Nice venue and the staff were polite and friendly. We have been on a couple of occasions and both times the food has been average and the service time slow.
R. P.
Food is good, with a huge choice on the menu. Always friendly and happy to help
M. G.
Had a wonderful lunch service eas very good
H. G.
The staff was incredibly friendly and service was very promt. I couldnt fault a thing !
D. C.
Great food, friendly staff - highly recommend
L. L.
Lovely lunchtime meal. Placed us by the fire, Christmas at atmosphere and decorations. Fast, friendly service and good food. Might even go back again...twice in one week! Perfect for social distancing too
R. B.
Very good altogether. Good beer, great food and excellent service. Thanks 😊
S. B.
Wonderful service, and food was excellent. Had a bad experience afew years ago and haven't been back till last week.!
F. D.
The food is always excellent and enough without being over indulgent
P. R.
We celebrated my Mum's 80th Birthday here. We enjoyed every moment.
We were welcomed by great friendly staff who provided superb service.
Food was excellent. Atmosphere and surroundings warm, comfortable and clean.
A very happy and memorable occasion enjoyed at this superb venue. Highly recommended.
C. L.
Have been a few times before never left disappointed. Served by SJ today, was a lovely meal that I left stuffed! Had a nice lasagne dish and my partner had the prime burger. Sorry no photos forgot as we were pretty hungry. The place was nice and busy even during covid. The staff were lovely and attentive. I personally really like the latte's, I know it's a weird thing to point out but they taste great
I. B.
We went for a beer and snack lunch, the first attempt was a disaster but the day was saved by the manager Sarah Jane who dealt with the problem herself in a very professional manner. Based on this effort we will return for another go.
J. M.
A group of friends and I went to enjoy a Sunday roast, and we were not disappointed. Even though it was extremely busy during our visit. (Around Sunday lunchtime), the staff were pleasant, polite, and attentive. Nothing was too much, and everything arrived with a pleasant smile.
I'd definitely recommend going. The food, atmosphere and staff were amazing.
A. K.
Big barn restoration of a pub/restaurant. Lots of space. Clean and attractively decorated. Outside facilities. A little bit standard and lacking in real character.
A. T.
Floor and tables really sticky! Hard to find the menu. Left without ordering
L. R.
I've been looking forward to this pub for quite some time and as it was my birthday we invited my son and partner, we were so disappointed. Our waitress was lovely but unfortunately we had to send back food twice because it wasn't hot. The soup was cold and the mains luke warm. Such a shame because the pub itself was really nice and welcoming. The waitress was very good and gave us free coffees. Don't know if I would go back.
A. W.
Lovely pub, nice meals with spacious outside gardens.
M. E.
Staff were very attentive and food was great
L. M.
The Swallows Return has become one of our family's, "We have something to celebrate" restaurants. My daughters love history and venue is an barn conversion. They say its like "being in a castle", and that they feel "posh" when they eat here. I am still to find out what feeling posh feels like. The Swallows is a reasonably priced venue with a nice large car park, beautiful building and grounds. You have the choice of sitting inside or outside in the sun or shade.
Staff are always very well presented, pleasant and welcoming. The venue is nice and clean with a farm house feel to it. It is clear staff work hard to keep it looking the best they can.
The food is always great and changes for seasons and updates as you would expect, alcohol and other drinks are also varied and well priced.
We have only ever had one problem here with our food but this was sorted out fast and with heaps of apologies.
This will continue to be our go to celebration restaurant for the posh feeling :)
d. p.
Really enjoyed lunch and felt that the Covid precautions worked well with tables well spaced and a one way system in operation. The meal was well cooked tasty and well presented. The service was very friendly and relaxed and Alfie the waiter was very helpful. A really enjoyable lunch.
H. T.
Very nice food and wasn't rushed to get out.
I. S.
Good lunch time experience
G. P.
Our first trip to the Swallow Returns today and we were treated so warmly & friendly by the staff. The food was great & such good value! We have already booked to go back!
C. H.
Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent choice of food available. Large ham egg and chips was great, my wife's steak and salad was perfect. Not too expensive either, so good value in my opinion. Likely to return when in the area again.
Dog friendly too with free dog treats available, so even better!
m. y.
Good was amazing staff were fantastic and the place is beautiful
c. m.
A very beautiful place to go for a meal
The Sunday roast is excellent
Plenty of seating inside or outside
The staff are very jolly & friendly
A young girl called Olivia served us, what a pleasure, nothing too much bother to her & what a beautiful Smile
We found OUR LITTLE GEM ☘️
R. B.
No wine list available to peruse and limited availability, service not very good ie kept waiting for some requested items and took a long time to clear away dirty plates (restaurant not very busy). But food we had was good. Just need better customer service
V. G.
Good meal, plenty of parking, food good, service good, visited for lunch with 2 small grandchildren. Restaurant was a little 2 warm, but it was a very hot day and think we had the table in the hottest part of the restaurant, but we will go back if we are in the area. Thanks Lucy for looking after us all.
V. B.
We went to the Swallow’s Return Goring this evening and all the meals were well presented and enjoyable. Alfie was our waiter, very friendly and pleasant. Would recommend a visit. It was very busy and has greatly improved.
N. B.
What a beautiful converted barn, the food was amazing and the choice of drinks was also faultless. Our waitress was Chloe and she was a pleasure all evening. Would definately recommend this to anyone. Excellent
L. N.
Lovely dinner outside very nice staff
D. N.
Service was first class and the staff are so friendly, food was excellent.
Lovely atmosphere, may book for New Years Eve
D. F.
First visit & wont be the last! Very impressed after debacle at Devils Dyke - thank you.
a. k.
Firstly the building is beautiful and outdoor space is great. However the food and waiting time for it isn't great. It's a real shame as we have been here a few times (pre covid) and always hope the waiting time for food will improve. To balance my review they were busy and coming out of lockdown
A. H.
Nice enough pub restaurant, but if you don't get there early they tend to run out of what you might want from the menu. This is common and has been for some time. They even ran out of milk once. Who runs out of milk??
L. D.
Having been here many years back and it being OK. I returned here today with a relative for lunch. Service wad a little slow but I don't mind that. It wasn't intrusive and it was friendly. It wasn't busy but equally wasn't dead. It's got a rustic oldy feel to it inside and it felt warm and inviting. The food was lovely. I had ham egg and chips plus apple pie with custard and ice cream. Portions were generous and good value for money. I'm glad I've returned and look forward to coming again.
E. P.
Great food. Lovely friendly staff.
D. J.
Very good pub, food was great, reasonable portions and price. Dogs are welcome, access on foot is a little difficult as there is no pavement or easy pedestrian route to the pub, but it is close to the bus stop and train station. The pub is nicely laid out and has a suitable area for a party of people (which we were in). I would recommend this pub.
D. F.
The decor & staff are great, the pub is a converted barn so has lots of character & charm, staff were friendly & helpful.
Food still has room for improvement, we had a roast, lamb shank was tasty however some of the veg was burnt which is always a concern, that the chef has plated it, & let it leave the kitchen
M. G.
We knew as soon as we arrived it wasn't going to be as good as it looks from the outside. Such a beautiful building from outside but some of the carpets and furnishings were more Harvester than the updated barn country pub we had hoped for. We had pre-booked but waited 5-10minutes for anyone to attend to us meanwhile registering the lack of staff (it turned out some had called in sick). Once seated the cutlery on the table was dirty so I had to ask for it to be changed. We agreed to order at the bar due to lack of staff, while apparently its normally table service. From arriving to eating was about 1.5 hours - we were happily chatting but were starting to get frustrated. Unfortunately the food didnt make up for the other issues - tiny roast potatoes, very overcooked veg, one piece of broccoli for 3 people, not enough meat, lifeless Yorkshires, and I am sure my veg pie was from Aldi. My friend had to wait 10 minutes after us for his vegan meal. To be fair the manager was very nice and he offered a round of drinks to apologise - as we were driving i said could we have extra roasties instead but at £2.50 I must admit I was surprised when he then charged us for our coffees, especially as they were SO bad 2 of us left them. Won't return sadly- a shame as it looks like the outside would be fab in summer!
Edit: having read other reviews I also need to add that there were several items not available from the menu and my friends turkey in pancetta was just cheap looking turkey. Seems a common complaint.
L. K.
Visited for new years eve as a member of a party of 9. We weren't told beforehand that there was a set menu for food and that the normal menu wasn't available, which meant one of our party couldn't eat anything due to dietary requirements, and I was rather limited in choice due to my allergies too. However managed to get something to eat which was reasonably priced. Drinks a little expensive, over £6 for a single whisky and ginger ale. The DJ was great and played a great selection of music. Had a nice time just a shame that the set menu was unadvertised.

Only had a drink but lovely looking venue and friendly staff
D. &. J. T.
Covid safe, staff masked up.
Been here a number of times, first time about 2 yrs ago was lovely, been back several times and it just isn't the same. Food is quite expensive for what you get, I ordered the Lamb it waS around £15, didn't feel worth the money, when it arrived it was cold, it was exchanged for a new meal and was piping hot.
Very dog friendly.
Might give this a miss a bit in the future.
Return next year sometime to see if its changed at all.
P. D.
I’ve been here 3 times recently with either a big group for Work, or smaller group with family. Each time the food has been delicious! The place has been really busy but we haven’t had to wait too long for our food. The waiter Steve is very helpful and attentive.
Twice I’ve had the roast beef duo and the portion has been large and the beef fell off the bone. Would definitely come back here again.
C. G.
Nice pub but painfully slow service
R. G.
This is a lovely pub/restaurant with decent beer and lovely food at a good price. We had an issue with our desert which of our party thought didn't taste right and it was removed from our bill. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
P. P.
Nice place, courteous staff. Nice to see a vegan menu. Early Sat eve and they had run out of the some vegan meal choices. Very poor as its not a wide choice. Others have since told me of their similar experiences. Vegan food (veg) cooked in fish water yuk!
Not bothered about returning
S. H.
Lovely family meal today. Great roast, beautiful building & such friendly staff. The atmosphere was so good, we will definitely be back & recommending to our friends. Thank you
L. D.
Popped in for lunch today, ordered the mushroom starter with toasted bread, the lift as and the chicken breast sandwich - Well
The mushroom dish was overdone, the sauce had disappeared due to over cooking,, the bread was toasted only on one side, the chicken sandwich had so much wholegrain mustard in it, it was almost inedible, the koftas were okay (not very hot) looked like flung on a plate, should have a flatbread with, I am sure it used to. The staff seemed not to know what they were doing, I popped into the bar (which was empty) to find the toilets and the 3 of them just stood watching me, I had to go up to them to ask where they were. I think maybe a stint of training might help.
E.
My family go here alot as we just live local. Food as always been great. Sunday lunch lots of meat and summer veg. Never need pudding as we are stuffed. Great for young children too. Staff always friendly at bar and in the restaurant.
N. T.
Nice atmosphere, but sadly very lacking in vegan options. The one burger we'd had on several visits we were later informed in fact had egg in it! UPDATE Jul 18: Finally vegan options! The curry is especially good (when they have it available). Service is a bit slow at times and the menu is a bit confusing, but the numerous vegan options mark a big improvement.
A. W.
Nice staff, very quiet.
a. p.
My party of four were booked-in for a meal on Saturday evening, from the outset we were greeted well and duly shown to our dining table, once seated we were introduced to Chloe, throughout our meal was friendly, helpful and attentive.
We will certainly return for another meal in the near future.
L. H.
Lovely meal in comfortable relaxed atmosphere and great service. I know this pub gets mixed reviews but we have always had good meals here. Really good range of beers and some vegan options.
M. C.
Food was amazing, as was the service from our waitress Lucy.
Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the fact they had run out of burgers when we visited. Also
due to COVID you had to use the side of the building to exit however it has no lights and was a bit hard to see the path at night!
A. R.
Great food good bear excellent service
C. Y.
Went for a meal with my family and the service was great, food delicious with a great atmosphere. We were looked after by the Manager (Aussie man) who was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be going back again!
J. B.
Really enjoyed our roast dinners, very prompt an polite staff.
S. W.
Lovely place! Visited here for the first time last week. And, as it was a Sunday, of course I had to try one of their roasts. No regrets at all, absolutely fantastic! Will certainly return again.
Top marks, The Swallows Return!
A. C.
Went for a roast here today with friends, was served by Alfie - what a credit to the restaurant! Roast was delicious and they had treats for the dog too. 100% definitely be back again soon, thank you !
A. W.
Veggie options very poor...our tomato feta tart( forgot the feta) with a after thought of 3 green beans put ontop of the tart ....boring!
Our other guests enjoyed their food....burgers and a lamb shank roast....and two beef roasts.
Waiter was great and attentive as was all the staff. Just wish someone out there would make a decent alternative Sunday roast a decent nut roast.... I've yet to find!
P. M.
Excellent food and service. First time my Partner and I had been there - we will certainly go again !
W. W.
Whilst in the area dealing with some emotional family matters this was the only place near to us for some food. The staff were amazing, they went above and beyond to ensure that we were looked after. Daryl was extremely helpful and I will always be greatful for assisting me and my wife at a difficult time. Food was great, prices reasonable and a wide variety of drinks to choose from. The venue itself is spectacular, lovely atmosphere and very relaxing. Great work guys keep it up. Also killer Moustache.
V. W.
We recently held my Father’s wake at The Swallows Return. The manager Carl, was helpful from the first phone call until the last drink served at the end of our day. The buffet was varied and people were well fed. The venue itself is lovely and we’ll be returning just for a meal out very soon.
I was told it’s closing for a refurb so I hope it’s just as pretty after.
S. M.
Lorraine is a legend! Best food I’ve ever had ( mothers cooking standards!!) :)
C. P.
Yet another lovely meal. Friendly staff, lovely venue, cracking food. Been here 3 times now and never disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit!!
U. G.
I really like The Swallows Return as a place to go and eat but they still don't cater for Coeliacs or those gluten-free very well. I've been many times and each time I ask for a Gluten Free Menu the answer is sadly NO. The staff always try to accommodate or adjust what they do have but I always leave disappointed and with food envy especially after watching others consume a sticky toffee pudding (which can easily be made GF) Hopefully soon we will see more GF options on the menu.
C.
Came here for a first visit 2 weeks ago, very nice ambiance and social distancing was explained clearly to us. Table service was good and waitress was very polite. Would defo come here again when able to do so.
t. o.
We went for a post Dog walk drink & lunch to find most draught beers 'off' and the only ones 'on' were warm with sediment - not nice for thirsty punters! Also visibly lacking in staff for a peak time summer venue. Food very nice, when it arrived, in spite of issues staff clearly trying, but lacking in leadership & direction
D. P.
Lovely setting, Great staff but is due for a refurb which they are planing soon. Set Christmas menu was reasonably good but some stuff was unavailable and not all of it to tip top quality. I'll be back after the refit expecting to give a five star review.
R. B.
They have a few menu problems at the moment with a chef leaving but I thought they coped very well in the circumstances. They called us back after we had booked to advise us of the situation and they coped manfully with my grumpy 😡 dad moaning about everything from the beer to the menu options, even though he already knew the score and still went. The waitress deserved a medal!
D. G.
Friendly staff wonderful food served beautifully
K. H.
Went with family for my dads 75th. Food was lovely and served quickly which, given there were 10 of us, was pretty good! Have eaten here a few times and recommend a traditional roast dinner....yum!
K. S.
It's a lovely place, a pleasure to visit. If the god is a good as the venue is to drink in it will get 5 stars. Beautiful old barn conversion with outdoor courtyard, covered terrace, stylishly lit. All very nice, clean & efficient pleasant staff.
S. W.
Lunch for 14 for 70th birthday. First class service, food, ambience. Thank you all so much for making such a fantastic birthday so special for a special man and his family. Steaks were lovely, sea bass great, hunters chicken, all that was ordered was perfect
K. K. K.
Always nice and warm welcome. Very nice place to stay with your family , friends or love. Good food, nibbles and of course drinks. This place is a good place to chill like when you are in your own home. So if you are looking for a nice place to relax this is one of them.... Highly recommended 👍🏻
M. Q.
Excellent food and service really enjoyed it
B. L.
Fantastic place recormend this place good service great menu plenty of parking 😀
L. C.
OK food although they had run out of a number of items. Service was slow but the staff were apologetic.
D. K.
We really like the swallows return and if we are going to go out for lunch this is where we head for . The bar is well stocked and the menu is really good .
We like the layout of the barn and it’s great at Xmas .
Staff are polite and the food is good .
We shall return .
R. W.
Lovely location & food very good. We were served by Oscar & Jack who were very friendly. We will be returning. Excellent.
T. A.
This superb barn conversion holds a lovely bistro pub with great service and mouth watering food selections. Highly recommended. It has a homely, cottage/ farmhouse ambience. The menu was quite extensive and our party had nothing but praise. I loved the log fire and cosy lounge area too.
Thank you for making my birthday special. My family and I will visit again in due course. Mr 'Happy' from HK.
L. W.
Sitting just at the bottom of Highdown, this is a lovely little spot for a meal, a snack or a drink. The converted barn feels very Sussex and the garden areas, whilst not isolated from the main road, don't feel or sound intruded upon by it. The menu is reasonably broad although it does lean toward the burger end of the market. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, not least with small children. A great place for lunch, a sun soaked afternoon or an evening out.
S. H.
Came here for a Tuesday on the Eat out to Help Out aka the Rishi special. Enjoyed a family meal with my mum, aunt and uncle. SJ our host was great, the service was excellent as was the food.
S. K.
Decor was pleasant and the overall look of the restaurant is very appealing.
Service from one of the male staff was mediocre, it felt like he didn't really want to serve me. The female server who took my food order was pleasant and helpful.
The food was nice with reasonable prices though be prepared to wait a long time, it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive
Day and time of visit: Sunday, 8pm
G. B.
Had a really lovely lunch today (duo of lamb) with a decent Malbec. Had s big refurbishment earlier in the month and the new furniture fits in nicely with the overall style. The waitresses are always lovely, smily and helpful. Top notch . 👍
K. B.
Went today with my brother and sister in law. Wonderful service from Lorraine, who certainly added to my enjoyment of the meal. Very good food too. Priced very reasonably and wide choice of food. Recommended to all. Kim 😁
g. p.
Lovely atmosphere , lovely staff lovely food and drink
T. W.
One of the best Vintage Inns we've visited. Lovely old converted barn. Greta food and excellent service from our waitress Chloe. Highly recommended.
A. H.
Lovely meal, excellent service
C. M.
Very nice meal and very kind staff it was a bit of a long time in between courses went in at 1:30pm didn't leave till 4pm and they didn't bring all our meals at one and had to ask for more drinks and had to wait a pretty long time for drinks as well the food was good but not great I ordered the garlic flat bread which was undercooked and my main was quite small but cost £20 but everyone else's they were pleased with it. We all agreed the pudding was the best part of the whole meal lovely jubbly and 4 of us 3course meal and 2sets of drinks £130 all in and the wine is really big for the price overall very nice meal but waiting time was long and dithered around alot but it was Sunday lunch time
J. S.
Lovely building, very helpful, polite staff.
M. W.
Good food at good prices, we had a lovely table for just the two of us. Which is very rare.
S. L.
We booked at table for 6pm, our table was still being used and hadn't ordered desserts so had to wait for another. Service was very very slow, we had been there for an hour and 15 and hadn't got dinners, one meal came out with wrong order, had to pester for pudding menu, was over 2 hours in total for a table of 5 people, food was ok, but not worth a very very long slow wait
T.
Been here many times over a few years, and have never been disappointed ( except once, when we ordered the day's special, venison) It's quiet enough to easily hold a conversation, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is lovely. What more can you ask for?!
J. W.
Booked for lunch - due to a gas failure there was a very limited menu! However the food that was provided was really good. The server was top class! A really enjoyable lunch! We will be back soon!! Many thanks!! Jeff!
C. S.
Great food lovely staff and great location. Well done
M. G.
This pub is housed in a nicely converted barn with a very cosy atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and the food was very tasty. We went for the Sunday Roast, which was very good, and I can highly recommend the pudding platter!
T. S.
Amazing Restaurant with such attentive waiters & waitresses ... Highly Recommended 5*
A. S.
Can’t fault the food, but the demeanour of your staff can certainly be faulted.
On arrival for our meal, myself and my wife were wearing our appropriate face coverings, to which the government guildelines state ‘when seated to eat or drink at a hospitality premises, you must wear a face covering’ to clarify a FACE COVERING. However, my wife was totally humiliated by a member of your staff who asked her ‘have you got a face mask?’ She was wearing an appropriate face visor which your member of staff could clearly see. Her next response was ‘oh, so are you exempt?’ We were both speechless! The server's attitude was extremely disrespectful. Fortunately, the food lifted our spirits. I strongly urge you to educate your staff so nobody else is humiliated in this way!
U. M.
Good Ales and Friendly Staff. Lovely looking and chilled out pub with amazing decor'. The food was much better than our previous visit after the 'revamp'.
D. T.
Excellent service and great food. Wide menu choice, speedy service ...would definitely recommend and we will return again soon :)
D. S.
I can only give three stars because I only have info on what it looks like. We booked a table for a Birthday party and during our travelling time they suffered a technical problem in the kitchens that prevented food preparation. They did try to call me but only had my home phone number, and, of course, we were in transit. The Swallows Return looks really nice and would have been perfect, but we hastily rebooked with The Worlds End just down the road and had a fantastic time. I can't fault the Swallows Return, these things happen...but I can't give five stars either.
M. C.
Lovely food and staff. The outside seats are way too deep so that to have back support your knees are practically on the seat! Just need a cushion at the back. Really nice place.
r. L.
Really enjoyed food .not too many people so pleasant.staff very attentive.pricing good
M. B.
Had a tastey meal on our route home. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff attentive and very welcoming to our over active little girl. Thank you, we will return when we are passing passing again.

Lovely pub
S. W.
Had a delicious meal there after a day on the beach. We were very casually dressed but were made very welcome and enjoyed a lovely evening meal with first class service.
Visit this pub and enjoy.
K. S.
Lovely area to sit outside. Service very good. Had a Sunday lunch, delicious.
L. H.
Had several really nice meals here. Lovely place, great ambience and the service was excellent. Pleased to see they are adding more vegan choices to the menu.
A. S.
Really impressed with the food and service. The manager has turned this place around from when I last went a few years back. If you gave up on this place in the past, it's time to return.
C. R.
Always wonderful food here with a good wine list. Highly recommended. First class service
B. C. (.
Had the Sunday roast, Turkey was succulent and delicious. Really nice food. Friendly staff. Had a nice time.

Amazing food and great, quick service. All felt very safe and within COVID restrictions. Massive thanks to SJ for lovely service and being so accommodating and welcome. 😁

Friendly pub, brilliant for just drinks or for food too. Great seasonal menu.
J. S.
We enjoyed our meal at the Swallows Return and the ambience is really nice Debby was very helpful and ensured we had all we needed.
G. H.
Waited superbly on by Lara, food was super
s. m.
Have been on many occasions, although large space it's got a very cosy atmosphere.
Food always good.Although last time we were there service was slow and they messed up our order. But very apologetic and took the cost of one of the meals off the bill.
M. M.
Good food, good selection of drinks. Never have to disappoint in food. Big portions for main courses. Beautiful building and decor. It's nice to sit outside also.
J. K.
Was very busy and ran out of the beef and lamb! Not ideal for a Sunday lunch. That said it was very busy and we will go again.
C. H.
Shannon was our bar stuff for our pub lunch. Courteous, polite and welcoming. Great food, fast service and very well cooked food. Compilments to the swallows return team. See you again soon! 😘
R. C.
Lovely setting, unfortunately due to staff shortages they where running a reduced menu on a Sunday .everything seemed a bit rushed we where in and out in just over an hour wanted to go to this place for ages. Gave 3stars because under 3 would not go back they could been having a bad day will go back when full menu back on.
J. S.
Lovely pub our first visit very relaxing atmosphere friendly staff and food was first class
T. J.
Good food good service but 40 min wait on what looked to be not to busy lunch service, but the food was hot and very tasty.
K. C.
Really lovely brunch.john our waiter was fantastic and very attentive
j. H.
Comfortable surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, loved my chicken & mushroom pie; love going here.
J. W.
Twinkly lights . Cosy fires . Plenty of space between tables. Friendly polite staff who were very attentive as its table service only in line with current guidelines. Very enjoyable visit
D. B.
Absolutely stunning place, food was amazing and our waiter Alfie was so nice and welcoming!
S.
Lovely atmosphere, good staff, spacious and comfortable. Smells good too.Good sized car park and great menu choices including an interesting and fairly broad vegan menu.
S. F.
Beautiful location great food and even better staff. Thank you SJ and Grace for your amazing service yesterday. We’ll be back with Ringo soon ❤️
L. N.
Very good quality of food. Very good service from cheerful staff and helpful. We will be returning.
L. C.
Beautiful place, fantastic food, great staff and wonderful company and a sunny day
What more could you ask for
P. S.
I'm sad to say it's unremarkable. It's such a pretty building yet the food falls short, table service has vanished and the menu now seems very limited. Staff were lovely and good with the kids, just wants someone to grab hold of it and make it great.
c. l.
Nice food. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Food portions on the small side and only one ale on offer.
B.
Came on mother's day, the table we booked was 20 mins late and took an hour for food to arrive, they were out of steak and the mains were stone cold, only redeeming features are the friendly waitress and aesthetics of the place
R. S.
Food well presented. Manager was brusque and not as friendly as she should of been. Waitress SJ was lovely. Toilets were freezing.
M. G.
Great food, lovely restaurant
P. B.
Great restaurant, never had a bad meal. Current covid precautions are well adhered to, friendly with a nice atmosphere.
S. F.
Lovely Sunday roast beautiful old barn conversion with super friendly staff.
C. H.
Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely food but unfortunately not to much choice, although probably just personal preference and taste.
R. P.
Good food, great atmosphere. SJ was our waitress and she was very friendly and helpful. Worth a visit
v. s.
Just had my mums birthday meal there and the food was fabulous and we were well looked after. The surroundings is so beautiful and nice place to sit and enjoy each others company.
J. S.
They made us feel very welcome and safe. I have a food intolerance and are always helpful. Very good food and service.
A. H.
Part of the Vintage Inn group but situated in a converted barn just adjacent to Durrington in Worthing. Service was good and prompt although there was a slight delay for the main course, we were told about it and so it was not an issue. If you like the Vintage Inn menu then it's worth a visit.
R. C.
Good quality food and lovely atmosphere. Served by Dom. Lovely chap, friendly, courteous and offered to change my drink when it wasn't right.
D. S.
Great staff, very attentive. Food is served and plated up with care. Not too busy Monday lunchtime so give it a try if you have an hour or two.
J. U.
Good food but, INCREDIBLY slow!!!
Took an hour to get the starter, then the main was delayed.we were out with our 9year old son who was way past his bedtime by the time we got home.
Will give it a miss next year!
D. B.
Spacious place, original interior, great staff, good food, abundant parking, perfect location. The major positive difference are the looks of the place and the settings. Thoroughly enjoying on every visit.
J. H.
Lovely ambience. Food was good. Cosy with the fires lit. Friendly staff.
j. l.
Fabulous dining experience. Very generous portions. Good veggie options available as well as the usual fare. Gets extremely busy on a Sunday lunchtime.
L. O.
Absolutely love the Swallows return, I have come here for my past few birthdays and the food is fantastic. Great atmosphere and lovely rustic decor. Staff are very attentive and friendly.
M. B.
Food was lovely, friendly staff. Cosy interior.
C. A.
A party of 4 eat last week. Very disappointed with the starter of prawn and lobster, not many prawns, little mayonese and hardly any lobster, thought this was not worth £6.50. Daulphinyoise potatos were small as a portion to accompany meat at a price if £14.95. Also waited awhile between courses.
E. D.
Starter was luke warm and roast was alright but service was incredibly slow, both waiting staff and the kitchen! Probably won't go back.
N. B.
Well after a trip to the beach the two of us were headed home to Crawley to see this hidden gem of a place hidden at the side of the dual carriageway...
From the moment we arrived we realised it was a special place to come to eat together... Service food and ambience in the hot summer afternoon was superb and we were courteousley looked after at table 80 by Alfie & Jenny...being NHS staff we were offered a discount off of our bill too....
We will be returning...
If ya want something a little different we highly recommend this place...
Superb...Thank you.x
I. D.
Good food and drink, good social distance which made it very comfortable. Alfy our waiter
Helpful and polite, would use again.
S. R.
Atmosphere is lovely and relaxing with the open fires. Staff very friendly and helpful and food really nice including the falafels for starters and the vegan burger
P. H.
Standard of food and drink fine as usual. Service not impressive possible staff shortages
E. H.
Regular visitor to this pub.Very consistent. Good food good atmosphere. Good service.
m. a. h.
We visit the Swallows Return in Worthing regularly and find that there is always a great welcome from the staff. The food is good and well presented and we are always satisfied with the content.Nothing is to much trouble for them. The atmosphere is great and the building is lovely being an old Sussex barn beautifully restored and adapted.
T. B.
The Swallow's Return is a lovely place. It's dog friendly, so you can bring your best friend. The food and drink are delicious and varied. The prices are very reasonable too.
E. C.
This is one of mine and my other Half's favourite places to eat. Such wonderful food, staff and a cosy feel makes you feel so welcome.
d. t.
Great food and lovely venue in a countryside setting. Very clean and Covid secure.
S. N.
Good food and venue. The service was great and reasonably priced. Only minor downside was the crumble was disappointing (all top and no filling). Would go back.
T.
Didn't know there was a vegan menu and the veggie choices on the main menu were limited, but my meal was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful
P. F.
The Swallows Return looks lovely after refurbishment, staff friendly & food good especially pudding which was hard to pick as so many sounded tempting! It was very busy with a good atmosphere! 🍷🍮☕
N.
Lovely tasty food. Brilliant service as usual, our waitress SJ was great!
C. R.
A lovely pub with really friendly staff. Worth a visit
A. L.
Brilliant staff, service and food. Great find.
G. D.
Tired look, no permanent bar staff waited 10 mins for a barmaid to appear. Outside tatty , food OK had a pint of bitter very cloudy returned it and had to settle for bottled beer,
K. L.
The atmosphere is really lovely and being it is a converted barn the deco is second to none. There are nice big comfy sofas to sit on as well as lots of table seating areas.
P. B.
Staff friendly and attentive food reasonable and well presented, facilities clean. Food arrived in good time. In all had a really good experience
R. T.
Birthday meal unFortunately could not eat the meat but was given the cost of meal of the bill and tables where close together very busy
A. S.
The service was appalling - it took a long time for them to take our order, and we had to ask them three times to bring a jug of water. However, when the food finally came, it was delicious!
P. G.
Very nice meal, after such a long time since we were able to visit you.
M. H.
Standard pub grub, conveniently placed. A good selection of drinks, although having been there a few times, getting more and more annoyed with the frequency of which their real ales are "off". Usually half of them are unavailable.
G. J.
Nice food and friendly, helpful staff. They have a nice broad pub grub style menu and a vegan menu which is great.
L. J. S.
Lovely food, friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend this beautifully situated place for any occasion. Would definitely return in future 😀
D. H.
Good food and friendly staff, I'm really looking forward to going inside as it looks super!
P. k.
Its ok . Lots of space between tables and alot of outdoor seating .. Meals not cheapest but ok .
C. H.
Lovely meal sat by a roaring log fire and excellent service.
H. S.
Very cosy. Food was ok but not the best.
T. L.
Good food, and friendly staff. Service was a bit slow
D. W.
Good food, friendly and efficient staff and interesting venue (converted barn).
R. T.
Excellent location , good food and Sophie was excellent! Highly recommend
R. A.
We were attending a play at nearby Northbrook Theatre, didn't know the area but saw that The Swallows was next door but despite some negative reviews we gave it a go and very pleased we did, the staff were all welcoming and helpful, although some things were off the menu what we chose was very tasty and value for money.
P. J.
I dropped in today once finished work and was meet with a friendly face made sure I knew the new coving requirements, steph, chloe and Jackie were great and food was amazing
S. “. M. M.
Great venue: decent size and ambience, food pretty good, but indifference from some of the staff dampened my enthusiasm. That said I would recommend the place and I'll go again.
S. H. h. R.
Good menu, nice setting ,and not too pretentious ,dog friendly ,a great summer or winter Venue, very pleasant staff.
R. A.
Great day out ! A lot to see..
n. b.
Super food. Great service. Need to keep an eye on the beers
D. W.
Lovely setting and decor. Very nice food, good beer, friendly and efficient staff. Recommended.
A. C.
Nice place decent food and atmosphere, lovely outside in the summer and cosy in the winter, the only criticism is that they run out of roasts pretty quick on a Sunday.
K. J.
Really good food. Only reason it was not 5 star rating was the service was a little slow
L. C.
Food was good and the staff lovely but it needs a good clean. Dusty lamp shades and cobwebs all over the walls where we were sitting.
K. C.
Harvey was so polite and friendly
h. g.
Lovely pub, looks beautiful and has great food.
C. W.
Really good place to stop and eat on the way home from a long walk on the beach. Lovely food and great service 👍🏼😊
H. H.
Food was great, however they were out of stock of most gins and platter pieces. For a booked 7pm experience it was pretty disappointing.
S. S.
Good food at a fair price .lovely surroundings .
s. o.
Excellent food ,ambience and service. Will definitely return when back this way.Our waiter,Alfie, was friendly and efficient.

Lovely beer garden but having been closed the actual beer was definitely not at its best
L. N.
A lovely evening, really nice food. Lots of choice on the menus and great service.... Really nice waitress. 😀 Thank you
