This isn't the biggest spoons but there's still plenty of space. The menu is the normal one you find in all spoons but provides a great range and something for everyone. The pub is well kep, clean and tidy. The food was well cooked and the service great. Staff were so friendly and checked to make sure everything was okay with our meals.

Dirty tables staff available but don’t clear tables. Drab surroundings Slow service. Table for two, burger order came then 9 mins later my nachos minus the sliced chillies. Very poor! Would not recommend if you want food. Lagers and drinks great value

Nice weatherspoons, one of the better ones that is not worn to the bone on the inside. Small outside area and as always a cheap pint. Food was pretty good. Where else can you go currently that offers affordable food and drink. Bar staff were not that cheerful.

The furniture is looking a bit old, but any preconceptions were soon swept to one side. Tables were being cleaned regularly and we had no trouble finding a clean one. The food arrived quickly, was reasonably priced and the staff were really really friendly and helpful. It makes a huge difference when the staff are so friendly. They have a great team here.

I don't need to review, if you use pubs and Weatherspoons you know what to expect. This one attracts bargain seeking Drinkers, need I say more. The staff are always courteous though. If you use weatherspoons as I do occasionally, this one is typical, often runs out of stock on some drinks.

A typical town wetherspoon pub. Used to be a busy Lloyds bar with music but for some stupid reason they turned back to a standard pub. Food is hit and miss. They now have proper cider, the delightful Black Dragon. First time in about 2 years.

Visited this establishment 0n 1/10/21. Unable to get served at the counter. Tried to scan the service code at the table but apparently it is for iphones and would not work on my android phone. I eventually went elsewhere to eat and then downloaded the app for android from Google play. I returned later to wetherspoons and ordered through the app with no problems. Does Wetherspoons have some problem with elderly technophobes who just want to order a meal and drink without having to take a course in mobile technology? Incidentally the food, drink and service through the app was excellent.

This place is awesome. They serve food until 11pm. The staff are good. The only downside is the weekends because its packed so you will wait for your drink/food for ages but this is all understandable because they have the cheapest drinks and possibly the cheapest food in town. All in all this pub is doing a great job. My personal favourite at the moment as other pubs lack this great customer service and versatility. Well done Three Fishes for making me a happy visitor :)

I have not been into The Three Fishes since they closed the one on the opposite side of the road , as it was too crowded. However I wanted to try it again and I was impressed. It was quiet , clean and the restaurant has been upgraded and so too has the menu. The new breakfast menu was extensive well priced and good value. The big breakfast at £5.10 and all day coffee for £1.10 was excellent. The best value in town I would say. I would like to see a microwave as I like my food piping hot and not all of my breakfast was. However I shall be going back and I will use the chain when I am away .

Visited with my wife on 27 September 2020. Full Covid measures in place. We were looked after by Sophia who was delightful. Despite being under great pressure she found time to guide an elderly couple through all procedures, including taking and serving our order. Fish and chips were excellent and great value. Overall a very good experience.

It’s Spoons so you know what to expect. Very good food (I’m not a food snob) at unbelievable prices, but unfortunately as anyone knows, with Spoons you never know who’s going to be near you. Like most Spoons, this is full of the all day drinkers and people who’s understand of personal space is extremely limited. But you are going to Spoons, so what do you expect. Friendly staff, and with the Spoons ordering app, you no longer have to leave your seat to order or pay. Gourmet food it isn’t, tasty food it is.

The Three Fishes is a good place for a meet up with friends and family. Reasonable priced meals which are good quality and the portion sizes are big for the price you pay which is good. If your going for a night out, it is a great place for pre-drinks with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to suite all taste buds. Also on a Saturday they have a live DJ which is good but can get very busy very quickly.

We visited for lunch yesterday. Cheap, but the food was pretty poor (even taking into account the price). I had the sweet potato curry (vegan) which was fine, but the naan bread was like rock. My partner had the veggie burger, and again, the bun was like rock. Cheap but not cheerful.

Always in here for a cheap meal with husband. Great tasty food. Always welcomed and they staff are willing to help. Cheap wine and Jack daniels. Cannot fault the service we get here. We are always popping in for a quick bite to eat. Rated four star as sometimes its difficult for me to get a seat at busy times and being disabled the only seat is mostly upstairs. I also find the chairs Ok and not that comfy. But other then that perfect service each time and we never go hungry. Food fills up my belly and I love the new lemon tart. Delicious. Recommend this pub to anyone.

Only place serving food when we needed it. Cheap food, cheap beer, shabby interior now, used to be much better. Cleaning the toilet floor more often would be nice. The owner is too busy bombarding the customers with pro brexit rubbish and not concentrating on what his business is about. All Wetherspoons seem to be going down hill. Staff were nice, with an air of being harassed. Food was ok though. Very quiet in there, though people seem to use then more for food and we were late.

The new app ordering system works great, but if you order tea they refuse to bring you milk. We were sitting up stairs and were told we had to go down stairs to the bar to get it. Whats the point of ordering it through the app? I thought it was to save congestion at the bar.

We have frequently used the 3 fishes and has always been good value, however today was a big disappointment, we returned our two meals because the fries were not fresh. The young lady behind the bar apologised and returned the meals to the kitchen, 5 min later meals returned to us, apart from the fries being hotter they were no different. Others had also complaned, when we left there were many tables that had not been cleared,will be a long time before we return.

Love the wine in here, always a decent one, and not many pubs sell Villa Maria by the glass. Went in at lunch time and very busy , felt for the 2 bartenders as that's all there were, not enough on a Saturday afternoon when the weather is good, found a table for 4 upstairs and we had to clear it ourselves, staff were bringing food out and going back empty handed, they could have taken back empty plates and glasses that were mounting up on tables.

Been going to Wetherspoon's for a long time now, food and drink excellent value, shame the Shelley closed as the fishes is not so good, would be nice if the bar staff offered a hello or how are you or nice to see you, but it is a heads down drink served and on your way sort of attitude. But I think you can't have it all. One thing that is paramount in any establishment is clean functioning toilets and I am afraid that the fishes falls well short in this department, such a shame as could easily be sorted with a bit more effort than just signing on the toilet check form as being satisfactory.

Most Wetherspoons are pretty much the same - good value pub-u-likes. Just one tip for managers - drill your staff that serving customers takes priority over glass collecting. Many long waits with lots of staff milling around.

One of the best Wetherspoons I've visited if I'm honest. Really clean every time I go in, and rarely had an issue. Only problem ever had was resolved by manager within seconds and to be honest, no staff were at fault at all, some lowlife stole my halloumi fries 😂

A typical JD Wetherspoons pub - large, plenty of space, a big bar that serves reasonably priced alcohol, simple bar food and a good atmosphere. It's a million miles from being high class or gastro, but that's not why you're going to go in here. It's great for after work on a Friday, enjoyable for a quick lunch that's worth every penny.
