Last but certainly not least was Bobos Cocktail Bar on our seriously epic pub crawl of York! By this time the previous 1000 beers and cocktails were really kicking in and I'm not ashamed to admit that I hit the dance floor hard! The vibe here is excellent and fun. Plenty of different areas to do your thing! Great party tunes long into the night. Definitely recommend if you are in York.

Very trendy cocktail bars on two floors with heated outdoor seating. Limited menu but the burger was delicious. Two cocktails for £9, sweet! Unfortunately the toilets are three floors up and there is no wheelchair access.

Great cocktails, friendly customer service and value for money. The bar has a modern and funky style but a music playlist to suit most tastes. It was also nice to have a wide selection of nonalcoholic cocktails that were good value for money and extremely tasty to boot! Nice shisha bar with table service on the roof terrace, not too overcrowded or loud which is good.

The venue it self is pleasant and the staff were polite. Toilets are up three flights of stairs and narrow which isn't great when you have had a few drinks. Cocktails are reasonably priced and they do have a happy hour where it's 2 for 1 but annoyingly it must be the same cocktail. We tried 5 different cocktails at this place and only really enjoyed 1 out of the lot. The long Island ice tea here was a let down, tasted more of lemon then anything else. It's not a terrible place but at the same time it's not the best place, it's just an okay place, I would still tell people to go and try it out because everyone as different tastes.

I was at Bobo Lobo last night and it was one of the best nights out I have had. The pineapple cocktails were amazing! Bar tenders Chris and Jordan were a right laugh and made us feel so welcome suggesting a "snickers" flavour shot - tasted awesome 👌 DJ was on point and the general atmosphere was great. Will definitely visit again! 😊

My friends and i visited for lunch with a baby in a pushchair and two dogs. We sat outside and the staff could not have been more helpful. They came outside to take the order instead of us having to come in to the bar in shifts. Completely unprompted, they brought us a tub of water and even a couple of plates of chicken for the dogs. And the food and drinks were very tasty and really well priced. All round brilliant experience. Highly recommend.

Staff were amazing. I got very sick very quickly and ended up throwing up over the balcony. The staff were so lovely and helped me have a drink of water and helped me outside and stood with me until I was sure the sickness had passed. They had to boot me out (understandable, company policy) but they were so nice about it. Drinks are great, staff are awesome. If you're the kind of person thst gets nervous on a night out, Bobo Lobo is a very safe/friendly environment. P.S., sorry again for your balcony. 😅

A calm atmosphere with some good drink choices makes this a good choice for a night with friends. Bobo's offers a variety of drink choices ranging from classics like strawberry daiquiris (the classics are offered with a multi-buy discount) to their flaming zombie cocktail, as well as mojito's in a variety of flavours, so it is likely everyone will be able to find something they can enjoy! Post lockdown Bobo Lobo have out in place good measures to help keep patrons safe from covid. You are asked to queue outside, and once inside you are taken to a table, and told that a member of staff will come to your table to take you drinks order to save you walking around and risking further spread. Having been to Bobo Lobo's before lockdown I would definitely recommend it under those circumstances, but even now while things are still uncertain I felt safe visiting Bobo's.

Rude bouncer at this bar. If your in and around York I recommend going elsewhere if you can. Was with a group of friends and they are forcing you to download the NHS app which I believe is illegal.

I was very happy with my choice to hold an end of year society event at Bobo Lobo. The service, food, and drinks were all fantastic. The staff was very accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. I would highly recommend this venue for any event! Unique drink options like their flaming skull, also make it a fun place for friends to sit and mingle over drinks and food on a night out!

Myself, my wife , our son and his partner came across this small, cool place whilst enjoy an evening in York. The warm welcome from the very friendly door staff in my experience is a rarity these days . Once inside , the atmosphere was fantastic , the staff were all super friendly and in particular a young lad collecting the empties was game for anything , he was a top lad . Summary , great location, great venue , decent prices but most of all , a really cool vibe , the place was JUMPING !!

We ate there today and I am giving this place a 5 star review not because everything went perfectly but because actually it didn't quite....but the staff couldn't have handled the situation any better which I think deserves a positive review. We had booked a table for 4 at noon, however when we got there the restaurant had experienced some issues earlier in the day with their electricity supply meaning they simply could not accommodate us at 12pm and we were given the option to hang around in the bar or come back at 12.30pm - as they were clearly still trying to get the place ship shape we quickly decided to come back in half an hour. Not their fault the leccy had gone off earlier and rather than being one of those people who seem to lurk on the internet looking to be offended by everything in the hope of a free meal we were accepting of the fact that we would have to wait a little long er to eat...no big deal really. When we got back they were ready for us and we actually were given our drinks and extra burger toppings for free which we really didn't expect and was a really nice touch - we hadn't made a fuss and they really didn't need to do that at all. The food was canny, really nice actually - we all had a burger and chunky chips - proper sized portions all round and we all went away satisfied and our faith in humanity a little more restored because of the way they handled the situation and explained things to us from the outset. It really was a very friendly place, as it was early i think we were the only people in there but the atmosphere was relaxed, the people on shift were 'just the right amount' of attentive - nothing worse IMO than a waiter constantly asking you if everything is ok but the lad who served us our food was great and as he was a fellow Geordie he got a better tip than I'd normally give haha.

Lovely restaurant! Great Staff! Last night in York and we fancied something different. Great little find here. Chimichangas were awesome. I had initially ordered the lamb cutlets and sweet potato mash but more than half the cutlets were fat and bone, disappointing to say the least but the staff were really understanding and agreed that the amount of meat didn't really live up to expectation and they were more than happy to let me choose something else in exchange. The sweet potato mash was so wonderful though that I asked for it with my Chimichangas.

The name is catchy, it's open till late and the music doesn't stop until everyone inside stops - beyond that there is nothing massively noteworthy about the place. That said, given that it's tucked away a litter, it serves as a good late night haunt for a weekend night out if you don't want to be overrun by the Teesside Terrorrs.
