My boyfriend and I loved the cocktails. We tried Heaven (it was tasty but couldn't taste any alcohol), Dame Judi (amazing), Pirates Passion (amazing) and Murder in the hurricane (tasty but very sweet). We sat outside and didn't realise how cool the interior was until we went to the toilets just before leaving the place. I'd like to come back for more drinks

Next up on our epic York pub crawl was Evil Eye. Once again there was plenty of happy patrons and plenty of cocktails to choose from. Great atmosphere! Margaritas were the order of the day. There was a live band too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend if you are in York.

Cocktails are fab here, bit different and oh so tasty! The 'Loxley Forrest Gateaux' is like a dessert smoothie! Bar staff are lovely! Definitely will return.

I really loved this bar, not even considering the stupendous number of cocktails, but the vibe was really good, alt rock playing all night, LGBT friendly and just a charming vibe, was pretty busy on a Wednesday evening. There was a bit of a wait for cocktails but these guys make them properly, don't just rush them to get them out and I think that's better to be honest. Its amazing how many different cocktails they all know off the top of their head there's like at least 80 and the wall behind the bar is just floor to ceiling covered in different spirits. The cocktails were really damn good as well, highly recommend.

Me and my partner had a couple of days in york over easter and children free we rarely drink but i had seen a few youtube guides saying to check out the bar and the coctails we had were great the tropical punch was strong but great. Definitely check it out if your near by

Hmmmm... Bit perplexed as to why all the 5* reviews are being awarded. It's okay, at best, if you don't look too hard, and don't mind waiting, continuously, for everything. Inept door staff meant way too many people entering the bar. Strange layout with bottlenecks and poor flow making it hard for the numbers of people inside to move. Queue for the loo or many stairs for the next loo. Slooooowww service. Sticky floors, dated decor, wonky chairs, the outside area is much smaller than it appears. Needs more staff, redecorating and a good clean. It is a very okay ish little bar in York. Was nice to visit. Wouldn't go back.

Astonishing cocktail selection, friendly and experienced staff. Excellent decor. I probably wasn't cool enough to be drinking there, but I'd go again.

Quirky little place with a suntrap of an outside area, tonnes of cocktails to choose from so we just asked the barman to surprise us and it didn't disappoint
