C. L.We had a short visit as we were staying in Flaxton so took the kids here to play while we had a couple of drinks. Kids seemed to enjoy it so that makes a difference. I didnt go inside as I had the dog with us so hubby got the drinks. Nice beer garden and kids play area so can only give 5 stars on that basis.
d. c.Been here on several occasions for the Sunday carvery and never been disappointed. Good value for money. Have also had the normal lunch menu during the week which had so many choices. Well worth a visit
r. R.Really great food and a good service. I'm a vegetarian and like vegan food so sometimes find it hard to find good places to eat. There was a small variety but I wouldn't complain as compared with other places I feel it was quite good. I had the plant based burger and chips. 10/10!!
D. H.Love this pub it's one of the best, went for food until we saw the prices. Still 5 star as we need our public house to remain a hub of the community. Left hungry but 😊 happy
D. P.Nice pub tucked away off of the High Street. Had a pint of Strongbow Cider which was £4.30! A bit pricey, but what with the costs of running a bizness these days I suppose it's about right.
Enjoyed the beer garden, out back. Well tendered lawn, etc.
Will call in again next time I'm round this part of Clifton Moor!
S. T.Main meal very tasty, steak pie had lots of meat in and was very tender. Ceramic dish with a pie lid. Would of preferred more chips rather than a little basket but makes it look nice. Pint of Carling £4.10. Brownie desert nice but not the best I've ever had. Out of everything that was the one most over priced the desert. One good thing is they have the menu on the website to give you an idea of options and prices before you get there. Staff very friendly.

Excellent value for money- each pitch is really private and has its own electric hook up, fresh water tap, dustbin & elsan point.
Toilet & showers were very clean and warm, the shower was powerful with lovely hot water.
Perfect site for visiting York!
A. W.Nice pub and brilliant beer garden. Only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 as the staff seemed uninterested on the Sunday that we visited. To be fair, it was very busy, but customer service did suffer as a result.
A. B.Great place. It has a nice friend atmosphere, a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is always of a good standard. It welcomes everyone including dogs.
