Great place with outdoor seating, food was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful

Fantastic service! We were a party of 8 running late. Ben instantly made us feel welcome. They missed one meal off the order, but it was instantly rectified and a free drink offered. The service by Ben made the experience exceptional. The food was excellent! I would highly recommend these guys!

I came to this bar for a friends 18th birthday. It was around 9pm and there were still seats available and the queue at the bar wasn't long at all and was served very quickly. The staff were nice and served amazing drinks. Everything was decently priced in comparison to other bars nearby, for example your classic cocktail will cost you about £5.75. The songs they were played were marvelous (I think I've lost my voice from singing/screaming). All in all we had a great time here and will definitely be visiting again, and would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a nice night out.

This pub looks small from outside but opens up once you're inside, it has an outside seating area in a courtyard. There are many TVs to watch football, it doesn't matter where you're sat/stood you can see a screen. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were smiley and professional, really enjoyed my night, thank you

Beautiful Venue, great for watching sport or if you're ever in York for the races. Use this as after pub. The food was amazing and the beer top notch! Team are so lovely, absolutely recommend coming here!

Haven't eaten there, only drinks. Its a nice venue. Long, so doesn't feel crowded. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Plenty of tvs of you want the sports and you can request what you need if it's not on currently (circumstance to them being able of course). All in all a recommended visit while in York. It does do food but as stated u haven't eaten there.

Tried at least 4 times to get an eatable steak granddaughter has successfully got 2 out of 5 maybe because rare mine medium Ordered yesterday 12.30 burger beer 2 steaks My steak was uneatable again maybe because I ordered separate and just eat came in and got food before mine arrived So disappointed dogs always happy (take home for dog) but im not Too many times staff are so lovely I don't like to complain

Young lady in bar at 2pm, refused me entry into empty pub on my miniature scooter, smaller and more manoeuvrable than a wheelchair, happier with no trade I can only assume! Great atmosphere! Went late Friday night for a couple of drinks, a live singer with an amazing voice and Coors on tap! While there we had a glance at the food menu out of curiosity........the next day we returned for our breakfast! My partner had a big breakfast and I had steak and eggs.......both were excellent! Definitely advise anyone to visit.

Came here on 1st Nov after a miserable start to the night at the slug and lettuce opposite and definitely glad we did. Staff were friendly and helpful, beer was great and food was enjoyable. A nice pub with a great atmosphere, that was made even better by the Irish singer they had performing. Will definitely be my first and probably only stop next time I stay in York.

Definitely a bit different from some of the other bars in this area of York. We went in to watch the football - very busy and noisy - but good atmosphere and lots of screens including a project. Drink prices are a lot cheaper than other bars in this area too. Staff were friendly and service was really quick despite it being busy. Small outdoor seating area available if the weather's good. Overall a good experience.

Looks very good after it's refurb, except for the big screens everywhere now so you might lose some of those customers who like a quiet drink and chat. One major problem us access to pub and toilets for people with a mobility problem. Long flight of stairs to the Ladies and Gents with NO toilet at bar level. But the food is good.

We visited this bar on the 23rd of September and was welcomed into the bar by the lovely Abi . We got drinks and sat at a table of our choice . We had table service all afternoon and felt so relaxed . We had a group of 8 but sat in two tables of 4 . Woman in one and men in the other . We felt so relaxed and had a fantastic afternoon. We laughed and had a great time with all staff . Abi is a credit to this bar and never ever stopped serving us with such profession . Will definitely visit again next time in York . Amazing service and awesome staff, the food range and quality is top notch and the time they take to cook is usually only around 20mins so you don't have to wait long. We are long time regulars of this place and they have never let us down once, I definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic little Irish bar. Great for all the Soccer especially the Irish games. Fantastic pizza and Loooooove the fact they do Chieftain IPA from Cork boy! They even got the wrong keg last week and I got the pleasant surprise of many pints of Rebel Red! Rebels Abú 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

The pub is obviously understaffed as there were only 3 people there, I barman, 1 waitress and I cook. There were only about 20 people in the pub, despite a Euro 2012 semifinal and they were struggling to cope. Another guest cancelled his order after the dishes were cold and the waitress couldn't find him and left them on the bar, and our order of gammon steaks took ages, after the cook nipped across the road to Tescos to buy some eggs. The steaks were very salty, the peas large and nasty and the chips were horrible, at least triple fried until many were hollow. The tables were stickly and the condiments hard to find. Last September this restaurant was good and Thursdays was grill night; this June it was a real disappointment, 50% dearer and very poor quality. I mentioned our concerns to the barman, who was a bit offhand as he was rather harrassed.
