The 2 for 1 on cocktails were good.the bakewell tart was my favourite. We got a birdcage for lunch which is average oven type food. Fairly busy and thought the app was a bit long winded so just went to the bar.

We called in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing.We had booked a table but had to wait quite a while for our food.Lots of people watching while you do wait and the place was filling up nicely for the evening.Great choice of drinks and the tree of cocktails look amazing.

Pre booking is a must as it gets very busy. We originally had booked a festive afternoon tea but it wasn't available on the day. The staff handled the matter great and can not be faulted especially Ellie. Comfy seating and great views over the river. 2 4 1 cocktails availability with plenty of choice. Only downsides were the sandwiches. They were dry and rushed and the filling was everywhere. Also I reported the lack of toilet paper in most of the women's cubicles and it still hadn't been rectified over 2hrs later. Will visit again if in the area.

Just had bottomless brunch here for my best friend's hen do and it was fabulous. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we were seated in our own decorated booth with a lovely view of the river. Bottomless brunch with the girls. So close to to Christmas I thought it might feel super busy but it was great! Decent enough place for lunch and drinks, but I wish they could match the relative heights of the tables and chairs better. I find it hard to eat when the table is above my nipples, got a suitable table at the third try.

If you're looking for somewhere to go with colleagues after work to celebrate something or meet a group of friends, it's fab, as staff are friendly and accomodating, booked a table for our group no problem, wow-factor cocktail trees are brilliant for a group and the atmosphere nice and buzzing. Never eaten there, but can recommend for social drinks.

Monday ,first day of holiday, we found this great Riverside pub Very surprised at the two for one cocktail offer ,made use of that ,and had a nice beer. We both had a meal. My wife really enjoyed the hallumi, and I had the steak. Very well cooked, served quickly and very nice staff.We decided to make this our go to place as it was just across the river from our hotel. Such a shame that on Tuesday, again lovely staff ,again hit the cocktail offer,and whilst my wife ordered the macci cheese ,I went for the chicken sharing platter .Bit naughty but on holiday. Again fast service, nice staff and when my platter came out I immediately pointed out that half of the stuff looked burnt to a crisp. To be fair, she offered to take it back but I said there's more than enough to leave some so off she went .Turns out, there were some round things on the plate so badly burnt I don't know what they were ,the chips were absolutely stone cold and the chicken sliders were so dry they were inedible. I ate some of the platter but left as much as I ate. We went back again for drinks, but I told the server that I personally would not eat there again. Sorry Slug and lettuce, such a shame. Nice Riverside eatery beneath the s and l on the Riverside.

We had a sharers meal: feast with friends, which includes frittata, chips, onion rings, fried rice balls aka arancini, mushrooms, chicken fillets and garlic bread. It was good food and a good amount. The gin cocktail was good as well, it was buy 1 get 1 free. A small beer as well and it all cost £30. The music was really fun but it was a bit noisy too. Waitresses were alright.

Absolutely delicious food! Took a trip to York with my mother and boyfriend, and ended up eating here. It looks so lovely on the inside, and the food was delicious! As part of a hen-do, we had booked the cocktail making session. On arrival we were promptly sat in a more private area and given as glass of Prosecco. The actual cocktail making class was run by Holly who was fantastic at accommodating us all, preparing the equipment and teaching us how to make two cocktails! She was patient, friendly, funny and very efficient. Afterwards, we had chips and nachos which were nice but not gourmet, although there was loads of food! The experience surpassed my expectations.
