Reviews of The Dormouse
M. M.My family and I booked a table at the Dormouse for a get together. My elderly Mum has just turned 80 and my brother 50 and I have just been diagnosed with a terminal illness. We asked for a quiet corner and we were not disappointed. The staff, especially Karen were so friendly and kind. Lots of gluten free options for my sister in law. My nephews and brother were very impressed (meat lovers) as was my Mum who had a recommendation from Karen for her main meal and ate it all (this never happens!). We were able to laugh and enjoy ourselves without feeling hassled and the food was just perfectly cooked and designed. The puddings especially the Eton Mess were so delicious I wanted to ask for the recipes! Thank you to all the team I always choose the Dormouse and promote it because of the service, choice and all round lovely experience I have there time and time again. P.s. Karen needs a pay rise. So personable and kind nothing was too much trouble for her thank you so much. Allison W and family.

My husband had the steak which was cooked to perfection, I had the turkey Sunday dinner, asked for extra gravy which was no trouble for our waitress Karen. Absolutely lovely lady, who made time to chat to us. My fussy daughter had the kids sausage and chips and cleared her plate also. Lovely refreshing shandy too. If we're passing through again will most definitely eat here.

C. W.We enjoy the atmosphere and staff are extremely friendly. We would like to shout out Phoebe our waitress who not only provided high quality service but has remembered us from a previous visit which made us feel appreciated.
We both had a roast, the veg was a bit hard but enjoyed it all none the less.

Food was beautiful, the waitress who served us couldn't have been more polite, friendly and attentive, price was very reasonable and indoor and outdoor seating is both lovely and lots of it! Found my new place for lunch and Sunday dinner with friends, highly highly recommend!
D. J.After our wedding at the Registry Office, we had arranged a meal for 18 people with the staff at the Dormouse. We pre-booked our meals as requested.
We were given use of a part of the pub which was ours all afternoon. The food was great and the staff could not have been any more friendly, they were absolutely great!

C. R.Went for a lunch time meal with my 2 young kids. Sat outside in a gorgeous beer garden. Was not disappointed with the food. Had the pizza which was beautiful and the kids meals were huge and at a fair price too. Would definitely go back again
L.Nice cocktails and good range of alcoholic drinks. Food quality isn't the best, more so pub grub than proper restaurant food but on the whole it was still ok and a nice easy dinner considering I stayed in the hotel next door and was tired from a long day. Some long wait times for drinks etc, but I appreciate there isn't much the staff could do about this because of how few servers there were.
