Reviews of The Greyhound

Only popped in for a drink whilst on a bike ride on a Sunday afternoon, but the welcome we received was so friendly. The hand pulled beer was excellent and well priced. The beer garden was nice to sit in. The ladies toilets had period products and toiletries in - amazing! Will definitely return.

Great drinks selection, beers well kept. Food is very good. Pizzas were very tasty.

Great family pub..my pie was great! Only reason not 5⭐️ loads of kiddies running around whilst people were eating. Huge garden at rear! No objection to kiddies as long as well behaved.
S. B.
Great pub, played darts there several times and always a good night. Friendly staff and good food

Incredible effort the new owners have put in to turn this pub around into a really family, friendly traditional pub
Great food, a wide selection of beers, wines and cocktails, and amazing welcoming service to match.
They have great ideas with their quiz and bingo nights, as well as different bands playing which is always fun. Nowhere else in the area has the original ideas that the owners here have put the effort in to give to the community so if you’ve thought about giving it a try, DO IT!

Wow, just wow what a fantastic pub. All things friendly including new bar persons first shift on a very, very busy day. It was amazing to be part of the fun packed day in your lovely Village. Thank you to you all including the bar staff team who made me feel welcome and included. Never thought I would see a pub.packed with happy people ever again. I was jealous of not being able to join in the killer pool and all the children's.games. hope to see you all again soon.

A good local village pub, conveniently located towards the end of the Planets cycle route. Can get a decent feed on a Sunday from the sunday roast dinner. Lots of space to sit either inside or outside in a covered area. Enjoyable.

Lovely traditional pub albeit we were their for a wake, plenty of choice for drinks no matter your taste.
Its a pub you can go in & its like you have always been a patron a difficult opinion but it's a feeling you have & I trust my senses.

Beers are always spot on never had a bad pint yet. Bar staff friendly and chatty. Not like some places they pull your pint and it's like pulling teeth to get a smile from them or a conversation
V. D.
Wow just had Sunday carvery. Can't move now lol. Meats cooked to perfection and lots of it. Very jovial chef and staff polite and helpful. We will be back and back time again. New to the area so found our new local. Thanks to staff

Good beer, friendly staff and nice beer garden. Would have been 5 stars if they'd been doing food but the kitchen had closed early
M. T.
Friendly bar staff. Comfortable atmosphere where locals mixed with visitors easily. I went up to the bar and asked if they did any local ales, one was pointed out to me, so I had a pint, I sat across from the bar and I an older chap took the label off of the Ale's tap and replaced it with a different label, he then stayed behind the bar for 2 mins max. When I went back up to the bar and asked for another pint I was told that it had been changed for another Ale. I wasn't the only one to ask what happened, the bar staff deflected questions quite politely. it left me wondering anyway... This isn't a slur on the pub, it's just a weird thing that happened. I have been in pubs before when a beer or ale runs out they go through a process of 'cleaning the lines'. Maybe the owner has a super speedy way of doing it and I am wrong, who's to say...

This a well run welcoming hostelry draught beers are kept in excellent condition open fire is great in winter only one criticism is the beers are relatively expensive for a village pub.
