BOOK AHEAD! This place fills up, so definitely book ahead, especially on weekends. The food is great and unique, not your standard pub fare. Fair warning, not a vegetable in sight, except for small salads on some plates. Fantastic nods to Disc World all over the place. Service can be a bit slow when they're busy, but everyone is super friendly, and considering the masses of customers and huge tables when we were there and the lone server, the timing was no surprise. All things considered, I highly recommend stopping in here for dinner!

Great food and beer. My first time here and it was great. Quick service. I had the chicken Kiev fries and WOW, they were amazing! So filling, I could barely eat half so they gave me a box to take the rest home. I highly recommend!

First time in the Mended Drum and it's safe to say I'd happily return. The burgers are delicious and you have the option to upgrade to dirty fries which will have you leaving stuffed. Well worth a visit!

What a lovely pub! We were staying in the area and chose the mended drum based on reviews. The staff and owners are so, so friendly and the food is just mouthwatering. The best meal I have had in months! Portion size is generous too, especially for the price. We both said that we wish this was our local!!

While not as cosy as I would like, this pub gets 5 stars because it has the best, most amazing burgers I have ever had. While we were there they were sending them out as take always and were in constant demand. A little sad that there were no Pratchett nods, even on the menu. Beers were good and clearly set out on a screen, but overall I think the pub needs a little remodelling to make it more cosy.

This is a Fabulous pub with a homely feel and the food is wonderful. We had booked in 14 for birthday celebrations. A daunting task for anyone waiting on tables! But no, this place carried it off to a T . All the food came to us in a timely manner and each dish tuned to perfection !! Would highly recommend a visit to this hidden 5 star gem !! Well done .

We came here before the main food was served on Sunday, the hospitality was exceptional, we were made to feel safe and welcome. Completely covid safety friendly and the staff could not accommodate us any more. We asked for nachos when it was piza only service but the staff went out of their way to.accomodate and we were not dissapointed, the food was exceptional. We will visit the same camp site up the road just to attend this pub. Shame its only currently open towards the end of fhe week as we wanted to go for Monday dinner. Also a great choice of cask and tap ales.

A wonderful and welcoming pub serving a an ever changing wide range of craft/ real ales from ( largely local) small breweries . The hosts are very friendly and the pub is welcoming to families . The pub food is the best of street food with amazing burgers being a speciality along with chicken Parmos. Vegetarian alternatives are also available . The pub has a large outdoor beer garden which also since Lockdown occupies the car park . There are regular Drumfest real ale festivals sometimes with live music. If you love a relaxed atmosphere with great beer and food then the Drum is the place to visit .

My husband and I dined here for my birthday dinner (mostly enticed by the name of the pub) and everything was brilliant. It was quite a long wait but as I understand it, the kitchen is rather small, but it was worth it. Husband said his burger was one of the best he's ever had. My Moroccan vegetable tagine was so flavourful and perfectly done. Sticky toffee pudding was simply perfect. Couldn't believe how low the prices were. We will definitely be back.

We called in the inn for dinner and had steak & all pie, it was well presented with a proper pie ( not a square flat slab ) the crust was firm and the filling plentiful. They seem to cook a selection of burgers and from what I observed on other diners they seemed very well presented. The staff were polite and friendly, will call again next time we are up that way. Probably one of the nicest burgers I think I have had. I had the blue cheese sauce burger and it was lovely. There dirty fries looked great too. I would not of eaten both but some of my friends had them and a burger. Friendly staff. Will definitely be going again. Next time will take photos.

What can I say...just been in for a pint and food with the family. I had the festive 'Boris' burger with dutty fries...oh my god...probably the best burger I have ever had...the burger was moist, the brisket was melt in the mouth, the burnt ends chewy and smokey...bloody lovely. Great beer selection with a wide choice including a sour, bitter, IPA, porter and stout. Staff were great. Wish it was my local!

Had drinks and evening meal with family in the beer garden. Burgers, BbQ, dirty fries, and quirky combinations of tasty food... big portions. There was many craft ales on tap but as we were table service we did not know this and ended up drinking a few pints of great tasting beer but at £9 a pint and over 7 2 % would have chosen an alternative had we known. There was menus for food but a drinks menu or a display board listing all the many craft and keg ales they had would be great.

Food is amazing. Make sure you're hungry. Great choice of ales and gins etc. Only loses a star due to lack of staff training. Young kids mainly with no knowledge of the brews. Had to wait wait over half an hour to get more drinks. I know we are all restricted due to covid but other places manage and it wasn't packed. I'll still go back though.

Mended Drum saves the day! We contacted the Drum late on a Tuesday after a disappointing Anniversary meal elsewhere. Ricky and Lisa saved the day by providing some delicious food, excellent beer and top class service. The new decor is fabulous, a real homely village pub, can’t recommend it enough!

Busy little pub with a fabulous welcoming environment, two adults and a couple of kids and a dog with no booking welcomed, fed and watered in the bar area, steaks are fantastic, gluten-free battered onion rings (shut the front door!) food allergies are catered for extremely well kids had great food too, portions are more than adequate, what a absolute gem of a find. Good range of beer and spirits, staff and locals very friendly.

Keep forgetting to write a review.... last visited just after 1st lockdown! We have visited this lovely place around 4 times now and we can't wait to go back! It's an hour plus round trip for us and well worth the drive every single time. Always great service and lovely friendly owners and staff. This pub has been turned around and is now a cracking little spot for food and drink. The only let down as with most pubs around the area of the lack of a good beer garden if you have kids and you want to sit outside.
