S. L.Lovely place. I thought I am lucky to find this pub. There are not many place to play live music on Monday, but here it is!! Beer and pie was fine, Jazz live music was insane. It’s good place to make a memorable night. Staffs were lovely. Should’ve been known to many people.

D. R.It's a beautiful pub with retro vibe. The staff is friendly - lively band - the ambience takes you back to older days. Really loved this place. If you insist on eating while you drink - ask for cashews/ nuts / wafers from the bartender. Not big on snacks but strongly recommended for drinks with friends/ family.

J. S.The Phoenix is a brilliant place to drink and socialise. It is a drinking pub - in a good old fashioned way - cool, great beers, beautifully maintained interior. Been going in since I was 18 and 40 years later its still the business. More spacious and less crowded than the Bluebell in Fossgate with easier access.
