W. W.Absolutely fantastic. This place underwent a refurbishment not to long back and it looks so beautiful and the country theme fits very nicely with the surrounding area. The service was fantastic and really friendly and with a fantastic explanation of the specials. There is a decent kids menu too.

Had the spiced lamb dish which was a substantial portion, beautifully presented and very tasty. Atmosphere was nice, dining area bright and comfy, bar area seating looked a bit more cosy (lower lighting level). Facilities were clean, staff were friendly. Really great, will certainly go again!

G.Stopped off for dinner on the way to York, and what an absolute find - can’t fault the place, absolutely gorgeous beef, veg and the cauliflower cheese WOW, followed by a beautiful sticky toffee pud! Beautiful staff who looked after us so well, will defo have to pop back in if ever visiting york again

The meal was delicious, even though my granddaughter thought I hadn't eaten all of mine as I left the shells housing my mussels 😄. Gpod food in a relaxing, friendly atmosphere!

L. G.Lovely meal and staff. Dog friendly in bar/restaurant. Another lovely dining area next door. Very friendly locals and would definately come back if in area again. We are travelling home to Scotland and we could park up in rear car Park and stay in our campervan overnight.
