The team at Urban and Rural were terrific from the start. They took the time and care you would expect from a leading estate agency. Nothing was too much trouble and when a buyer pulled out, they had others ready and waiting meaning we didn't lose our dream home. Glenn did a super job on the valuation, and provided advice on offers from some prospective buyers, then Katie and Daniel worked hard to ensure that the property was sold within a week. Once terms were agreed, Melanie made sure we were kept informed every step of the way even when other agents involved were less than communicative! All in all, the experience, although stressful at times, was made easier by this team and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as an agency.

I have been fully satisfied with the service received from Urban & Rural (Bedford branch) during the recent sale of my elderly father’s property in Bromham. Making a move from what had been the family home for over 55 years was a big step for him. I found Glenn to be calm, straightforward and professional from the word go; even before we had definitely decided to go to market, there was no hard sell and Glenn was happy to leave things with us so we didn’t feel under pressure. We were given sound advice regarding the marketing strategy but, again, we didn’t feel in any way coerced into taking a particular course of action. The viewings in mid January were all arranged over one single weekend. Coincidentally these took place during the period of huge upsurge in COVID infections so understandably we had our concerns. Nonetheless everything went smoothly: we left Sue on her own in the house to manage all 17 viewings from which 12 offers then followed - very quickly! Communications during all stages of the subsequent sale process were timely, clear and efficient. What I appreciated most from both Glenn and Sue was the fact that they showed respect for the property: they never forgot that it was still my father’s home until the point of completion. I would like to thank them and, not forgetting their other colleagues, whom I didn’t meet in person, for their excellent service. I would have no hesitation in recommending Urban & Rural to others or to return to them myself should I look to move house in the future. Many thanks!

If you are looking to sell your home - I would highly recommend Urban and Rural. They were the first agency and the only one to respond to my online request for a valuation - they gave us a good picture of the local market, understood our situation entirely and took some beautiful photographs of our home. The added value they gave was impressive from a very competitive commission rate to included featured property on RightMove. Our house was on the market less that 24hrs, we had 8 viewings booked. All the visits were 100% Covid compliant - masks, overshoes, sanitiser and social distancing. The first person through the door made an asking price offer. What more can you ask for?

We chose Urban & Rural Bedford to help us sell our property as they demonstrated confidence they would sell our house and they did... THREE times!! We placed our house on the market mid October last year, and sold in January, we were so excited since the viewings had fallen over the Christmas period. Unfortunately our buyers buyer pulled out so we put our house back on the market and in March we sold again, it fell through. However in May we sold and finally completed in JUNE!!! Thank you Sharon for completing the majority of our viewings and selling our home! Once sold, the aftercare was brilliant, we were not let down by Glen, Melanie, Sam, Sue and Sharon.. We did have a few bumps along the way, however all issues were faced with empathy and professionalism. Urban and Rural recently helped me with the selling of three properties in Bedford. As I live in Devon, I was concerned that selling properties at such a distance would not be an easy matter. The fact that it was not the stressful drawn out process that I feared is very much down to Gareth and the team at Urban and Rural. They were approachable, friendly and enthusiastic and were able to quickly grasp the situation and to present me with a tailor-made plan. At all points Gareth and the team communicated and kept me informed. It was apparent that they had an efficient and well organised system in place. What I liked most about Gareth’s approach was his creative and flexible approach and this was seen particularly when we had to make changes and rethink plans. This is really important when selling a house as there can often be setbacks and changes that are out of the seller’s control. In these cases, the plans were adapted so as to keep us on track and achieve a good sale.
