Not really had any issues with them. They would always send someone around to fix any maintenance issues and were helpful with any queries we had. However, when we were about to move out they tried telling us we were on fixed contract and could not move out without giving them notice which was a lie. In the end they were fine with us moving out and didn't try charging us any ridiculous fees so I was quite impressed with this agency.

During my rent back in 2018, my property manager was Gita Patel who has been an excellent and proactive agent regarding any matter about the property, and off my experience in renting properties, without a doubt she is an outstanding agent. Thanks to John Shepherds who set an excellent example, and would definitely recommend them. In 2021, I rented another property from John Shepherd. I came across Lily once or twice when I rented a property back in 2020, and words won't be enough to describe how helpful, supportive and professional Lily is. She is a competent agent who is always very informative with prompt actions toward queries or concerns. In helping us at the beginning, Megan was so kind and helpful in showing us around the property that we are currently renting. Megan was so helpful in processing our offer and answered many of our queries about the property, such a friendly and cheerful agent. Our current property manager is Kai who, as a property manager, Kai has been excellent and very professional in responding to different matters, which again demonstrates the level of excellence that agents at John Shepherd are operating at, highly recommended by all means.

Megan showed me a few flats, and unlike most of agents, she never pushed her interests, she remained silent to let me do my evaluation, she agreed with flaws, she was punctual and polite. had a good experience with this agent, unlike other agents I got a good amount of deposit back which used to worries me a lot. I really definitely recommend it to my colleagues. Whilst everyone is getting used to working around the 'new normal' I must say I am impressed with how John Shepherd have embraced this! My tenancy was due for renewal and I had a few snaggles In my property. After speaking with Kate the issues were looked into and dealt with quickly (very quickly actually given the fact were still in a pandemic!) and the renewal was agreed. I was informed about extra work that needed doing before my renewal with electrical testing and i was updated from start to finish on why what and when and how. John Shepherd managed the sale of my apartment, which due to an uncertain market at the time wasn’t a particularly straightforward sale. I’m happy to say I felt well taken care of throughout. Their advice was always well informed and well considered and their service and professionalism was consistently excellent - from Maggie at the earlier stages and then Emilie later on. In particular the way Emilie handled a number of unexpected issues from the buyer side was particularly impressive. We had productive and candid conversations and it was always clear to me what was happening. There was also a lot of thinking outside of the box from Emilie to get things back on track! At the 11th hour there was another issue from the buyer and the sale looked certain to fall through. This is where Emilie really came to the rescue. I gather this took some very delicate conversations with the buyer and their solicitor but somehow she managed to turn it around. Selling a home is a very emotive experience and in the wrong hands can be a nightmare. I wouldn’t hesitate to use John Shepherd again. You can never control every aspect of the process but having the right expertise, experience and customer service ethos on your side makes all of the difference.

I cannot recommend Lily enough. Having needing to move during the current pandemic, I thought I would find it difficult to find somewhere and it be risky only being able to view somewhere online.
