I first came across MECS on a viewing for a sales property which I was purchasing to rent out. The way that Sami handled the viewing and the process of purchasing it, I knew that he would make a great letting agent. Over the next few months, I transferred all of my family rental properties to MECS. They went into the nitty gritty and managed to get correct planning approval for my portfolio which essentially made me compliant with the planning law, allowed me to rent the properties for higher rental yields and finally and most importantly, this increased the overall value of the houses significantly; something which the other agent fell short of. I am really pleased that I met Sami, as he has gone to an enormous amount of trouble to sort out my portfolio and getting the correct planning use: one of which took more than 12 months. So if you're trying to find an agent to help with sales or rentals, I would highly recommend giving MECS a chance.

They take time to listen to concerns and requirements and they appear to genuinely care. They have dealt with everything in a timely manner. I bought a house from MECS in November 2020. I called them on the Thursday and viewed the house the next day. Sami Mubarak showed us around and answered our questions (which were many). He provided the information for which we asked courteously, concisely and fully. It was clear that he had a deep and thorough knowledge of this house and also the broader property market in Harborne and Edgbaston. Our offer was accepted without any drama, solicitors were instructed forthwith and the sale happened seamlessly without me being stressed. Even after Sami had passed the matter to solicitors, he still called regularly to update us. I have bought a number of houses over the last 10 years and this has been the most straightforward purchase. MECS put a lot of effort into making sure that we knew what was happening every step of the way and if I called or emailed Sami or one of his team would call back within a few hours at most. I would not hesitate to recommend MECS to any potential purchaser. MECS is most efficient, helpful and very clear about anything a purchaser needs to know. Sami and his team are brilliant. Not only do they know the Harborne , Barewood, Edgbaston markets intricately but they also can answer all of those questions about best primary schools, secondary schools, local religious services and communities even where the best parent & toodler groups are . Sami works in Harborne but more importantly he lives there also so he can answer all these questions 1st hand. Not so much an estate agent more of a community hub. Great guy who takes lots of the stress out of either moving house, finding a tenant or somewhere to rent. And once you've done business with Sami you can pop next door for a chilled coffee or drink at Boo Boo or if feeling more energetic Harborne pool for a swim.
