As first time buyers, myself and my partner done our own due diligence, went to mortgage advisors etc and to be honest was overwhelmed and felt like they didn’t really help us or give us the information we needed to hear. All of the Ladies in the office worked really hard but Nicky was outstanding she went that extra mile. We went on the market with another agent in June 2019. We sold (After 6 weeks) but we were messed around by our buyer resulting in the sale falling through. The estate agent we were on the market with were full of false promises so I gave Shipways a call, who were very very helpful. I spoke with Leanne at 11am that day; by 1pm she was at our house getting details from us and we were “live” straight away. Nicky was amazing and got in 3 viewings that same day. All 3 viewers made offers and we accepted an offer the next morning. Not even 24 hours since our previous buyer pulled out, we were sold. We had regular updates from Nicky, Leanne and Dean. Buying and selling a house is very stressful but they really helped put our minds at ease. Thank you for everything!

Where to start from... this was the first time for me buying a property and I was scared. I googled brokers and came across these guys. But due to the price I pushed back. After looking around my heart kept telling me to contact shipways, which was the best decision ever thanks to the previous reviews I read. My house buying wasn’t straight forward and Darren Tuft has been amazing, he’s gone above and beyond to get what was best for me, also giving me the best financial advice. He looked out for my needs and not his financial gain. I’m right at the end of my mission and thanks to Darren he’s made it less stressful, that extra £150-£200 extra I paid compared to other brokers was definitely worth it. Although I didn’t deal with the others at the office they always greeted with a smile and made me feel comfortable. Hopefully Darren will still be at shipways when I re-mortgage, if not I will hunt him Down.

The whole team at Shipways Castle Bromwich have been superb in our remortgage. Darren Tuft has found us an excellent new mortgage deal that will be saving us £350 a month compared to our old agreement. That's £21k we won't give to the old lender over the next 5 years! Yes it's fair to say the team have really impressed us. And we will definitely be back in 5 years time when the fixed term runs out.

The office staff, Darren, Leanne (amazing) and Nicky, are all staff who Shipways should be very proud off, nothing too much trouble, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, its a real pity that the same cannot be said of the Manager, Dean, and his line Manager Ian, both of whom we have contacted by email, and both chose to ignore emails, no help whatsoever, maybe Shipways should rethink their management structure?.
