In January 2020, my wife and I decided we had outgrown her house and decided it was time to sell. After meeting 3 different estate agents in order to get a valuation on our property, we decided to go with Porters. They were the cheapest of the 3 (which was a big plus) but I also felt that Matthew Lake (the valuer) was a genuine person who gave excellent advice and told us things as they were and not we wanted to hear. Throughout the process of selling our house, our initial thoughts of Matthew and Porters in general were correct. Matthew went above and beyond on many occasions in order to assist us move in to our forever home. He was always contactable and willing to offer great advice which helped us through the process. As well as Matthew, we were also given an excellent service by Paris who works in the office. Paris was always approachable and friendly, whether speaking over the phone or in person. She always kept us up to date with the selling (and buying), chasing up other estate agents, solicitors or the buyers of our property. If you are thinking of selling your property, I cannot recommend Porters enough. They were great from start to finish and I would definitely use them again if I was selling.

I recently bought my new home through Porters. This was after many months of looking for something suitable, via a number (pretty much ALL) of the local estate agents. During this time, I viewed quite a few properties, and naturally got to see how the various agents worked. Matthew, who greeted me at all of my Porters viewings, was fabulous. I was impressed that he remembered me, my situation, and what I was looking for, from viewing number two onwards. Also, while most agents were pretty passive (and some, completely disinterested!) during viewings, Matthew was positive, and great at making suggestions as to how the various properties could be used or modified, to match my needs. Really, I didn't see any of the other agents go to the same lengths. As for the rest of the team at Porters - I received great service from them too. They were all very professional, friendly, and responsive. If/when the time comes for me to sell my nome, I will be definitely be giving Porters a call.

Matthew and the team were absolutely amazing helping me with my most recent sale in which there were numerous complications and they worked with me to make sure I didn’t lose the sale. I’m so happy I went through Porters! The most efficient estate agents I’ve been with. I had contacted to enquire about a rental. I was responded to very fast! I asked a question which was passed straight on to the landlord and I got a response the same day. It made things a lot easier as we were really keen on this place. He made sure we knew what to do by explaining to get our application in as soon as possible as he knew how much we loved the place. Maintenance is fantastic compared to what I had been through Peter Alan. I had constant emails from Paris updating me with the property and referencing. Professional and caring which makes all the difference. Everything was taken care of fast, which was great. I’m so thankful she was so efficient because it made everything run smoothly.
