I engaged DW Smith to sell my late Aunts property as I felt they were professional and Richard in particular had an excellent manner and would be “easy to deal with”. The property was marketed within a few days with 3 time slots arranged for viewings. I had excellent communication from Richard on the outcome of each viewing and support to consider the offers received. Within a very short time the property was sold in excess of the asking price. Through out this process there was excellent communication, support & the sale progressed smoothly. I had three local estate agents to value my parent's house and by far the most professional of these was David Smith. It was an easy choice to decide to use D W Smith & Co over the other two companies even though slightly more expensive. I live >100 miles from the house being sold and they were happy to deal with just about everything which needed the house to be attended saving me time and money in having to travel to the house. They very quickly found a buyer for the house and Karen Smith kept in contact and ensured the sale went through smoothly. Finally, to save me travelling to the house on the day of sale, they kindly read the meters and sent me the readings so I could notify the energy providers. I highly recommend D W Smith and would not hesitate to use them again.

Very solid operation. Everything is done in a prompt and courteous manner. They've a smart online portal where you can register any issues but equally an email to one of the staff and they'll sort it quick. They do genuinely go quite far out of their way to accommodate, so much so that even when I locked myself out of my flat well past office hours, they drove straight to me to let me in. Very happy.

Fantastic company to have worked with through selling our property. From the initial meeting with David through to Karen’s management of the process; they were a pleasure to deal with. Our sale had a few stumbling blocks, outside of our and DW Smiths control. These issues were managed by Karen with professionalism and persistent communication with all parties. We found some estate agents market themselves by claiming they have a professional photographer or make it ‘instagramable’ etc, it really is all spill. DW Smith made the process simple and understandable. David made some great recommendations with regards to the selling price and how they’d manage the viewings/offers process. He also, took some fantastic, bright, airy, wide angled pictures of each room/area, which we were very happy with. The walk around feature on their website was also a real plus. In a market with many estate agent options we could not recommend DW Smith highly enough. A super little family business with great knowledge of the housing market.

We have used DWSMITH to buy, sale and rent aswell as adding tenants mid lease, and will continue to use them in the future. DWSMITH's team have always been friendly and professional, keeping on top of every sale or rental and informing us throughout-even taking paperwork on holiday to ensure a tenant could move in on a date he wanted. They go above and beyond what other Estate agents do, usually putting houses on the market much sooner than other agents.

Customer service throughout the viewing process and signing the contract was very good. However, trying to sort out references was very difficult due to using a faceless middleman called Goodlord who did not communicate properly about what progress was being made on references, especially the income confirmation (no visibility on communications between my HR department and Goodlord lead to delays). Also had no electricity upon moving in and am paying an absolute fortune on a PAYG meter until I can get it switched due to no communication from DWSmith or the Landlord - I tried to find out in advance about utility suppliers via email but received no reply.

I moved into my first rented property with DW Smith & Co and I don’t think I could ever fault them. I’d heard horror stories about landlords and letting agents from a number of friends and families, but I can’t think of a single time that DW Smith & Co have let me down. If ever I had a problem, then I could just pick up the phone or send an email, and I would be responded to immediately, regardless of the day or time. They fixed a number of issues with the property for me, usually within a few days of letting them know. DW Smith & Co went above and beyond for me and my partner when we complained about noise from a nearby property. I have since moved out of this property, and bought a house, but I will recommend DW Smith & Co to my friends and family. They have a great, friendly team in Hanham who are always happy to help.

Fast to answer the phones shame they are not so good at updating sold properties online. Called several times now about verious houses by time you speak to them house has sold, sometimes withing a short period of it going live on website. Glad to know they sale houses just a shame they don't tell us... If you leave a message they are slow to get back to you. Have elderly relatives that are looking and not tech savvy by the time they see something it most definitely has sold even though asking to be called if a suitable propery comes up. Overall great for the seller not so good for prospective buyers
