I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the professionalism of Goodman and Lilley as Managing Agents for my flat. I have dealt with the Portishead branch for over a few years now and am always happy with the communication, care and expertise they possess. They always find superb tenants who stay for years and they are always on hand to answer any questions and queries as their communication is excellent. Their help with the beginning of a Tenancy (which sometimes can appear rather daunting) is superb and they guide their clients through every step required with an ease and fluidity which is quite rare these days. It ended up being a pretty complex and difficult sale with many obstacles, but I was never in doubt that they were working hard and doing their best for me. Deciding to spend a few years in Spain we asked the Goodman Lilley lettings to let our home in Portishead for us. As first time landlords Claire and her colleagues provided a magnificent service from first contact to the last a few weeks ago when Brexit decided us to move back to the UK and wait and see what happens after March 29th. Their documentation is easy to follow and use, their contractors for gas and electrical safety checks are great, any problems reported by tenants are immediately reported to us and followed through. A new washing machine was provided and installed when the existing one broke and a new carpet laid after a 'tenant accident' and the money recovered from the damages deposit. I two years with three tenants we were only without a tenant for about 4 days. I cannot recommend Claire and the team too highly. 5 stars from us are well deserved.

Paula is the most professional estate agent I have had the good fortune to work with….After spending over six months looking for a house in Clevedon, I arrived in Paula’s office in Portishead deflated and skeptical; I left her office with an appointment to see three houses. She seemed to have intuitive insights about which houses I would like; she’s also very personable and straightforward. We put an offer in on one of the houses and exchanged in a little over three weeks! (No chains, no mortgage, detached freehold house.) Record time! Paula is very good at her job and knows how to make things happen in a timely manner, she was also our main contact - which is a pretty significant detail. Back in March this year I had 2 houses for sale with Connells of Portishead.After one month we only had 1 viewing. And No sales . So I contacted Guy da Boss man from Goodman and Lilley and I decided to put both properties on with him . On meeting Guy he told me about 2 sales women , Paula and I think da other one is called Mandy who he poached from a local agent and he said to me that they know how to sell houses once they know da punter is half interested. I’m on my visit to there branch office to do form filling in I was introduced to Paula... after talking to her for a minute or so , I knew that if da right punter come along , she would stick it right into them. ,,, within a couple of days we had viewing for brand new 2 bed end terrace with off street parking. Sold , cash buyer 280 large . Wallop . Da second 2 bed was an existing 2 bed but terrace which had been totally refurbished with double storey extension, but no side access. He was a lot harder to sell for da dough we wanted . After 10 weeks the team found a punter and stuck da house straight into him ( first time buyer) . Now I’ve got my dough back . The moral of this review is that Jake , Paula and Mandy know how to sell houses, they are part of the portishead branch , at all times they were professional towards me regarding any matters and all updating and it explains why Goodman and Lilley sell more houses in portishead, than all da other agents put together. Any one wanting to sell a house in portishead/ clevedon or surrounding villages , there is only one agent !!!
